mysticgal: please dnt u think u rushed d lola's luv story, and am i permited to write on amaka's sil.ngozi thanks. hmmm? Lola's love story being rushed? Nope, I don't think so. I've left it at her being engaged to Kingsley and about to tell her parents...or is there something you think might have been omitted? Re: Amaka's sister-in-law Ngozi...yes, you are very much allowed to write about her. My dear, you needen't ask sef. This story is for everyone, you included. You have as much right as anyone and everyone to contribute Looking forward to reading your updates! |

'What!!' kingsley shouted, 'what do you mean by he is a big mafia' he continued. Then he looked around the weed-filled room where obakan and his gang do their meeting and smoking. Obakan is a man of twenty five years of age but his constant weed smoking has aged him higher than his age,he is also a leader of a gang called THE GO GETTERS. They are good hired killers and thieves, obakan whose real name is lukman has also had his own part of the cruel world when he lost his parent to a car accident at an early age of four,so he was made 2 spend his childhood wit his uncle. His uncle's wife made life so miserable for lukman. His uncle lived in the bad hood of ajegunle,so lukman had 2 find a way of living since his uncle could not send him to school, and his wife won't give him food for a whole day, eventually he had so many friends that also didnt have anythin to do than to make the touts their mentor. His uncle's wife cruelty towards him made him flee his uncle's house to the mentor place. Before he could choose wat he wanted to be in life he already find himself living on the kuramo beach. Kuramo beach serves as shelter for these boys that have no where to go,he also find himself in this category because his mentor has been killed by the police during one of the clashes between the touts and the police, so he had to join other boys as they went in their own search for money mainly by begging passers-by,but anytime nobody gives them money they all resolved to stealling, so,gradually they stopped begging and started a full time stealing job. Before obakan did his 18th birthday he had become one of the elite of the big boys in town. During one of their numerous operation, the leader of the group whose name is EJE (blood) and the second in command, EJA (fish) and almost all d members were killed by a group vigilante, whereby only obakan survived. So he created another gang and named it THE GO GETTERS. The had top politicians as their client,so whenever the police nabbed-in any one of them, their client tactfully remove them from the police clutches. And their most skilled member Enigma, betrayed them to stay with Numero Uno, so they tactfully avoid each other. *************** 'So, u can't fight,he is more powerful than wnt know' obakan concluded after explaining all the vices of Numero Uno and Enigma to Kingsley. 1 Like |

Efemena_xy: Ngozi screamed out in pain and fear as he dragged her up the stairs by her hair, to their room. On reaching the top of the stairs, he kicked the bedroom door open, then flung her across the room in fury. She landed on the bed in the middle of the room on her backside, her breath knocked out of her from the sheer force of his throw. With unbridled rage, he kicked the door shut behind him with his foot as he approached her in anger. ************************************************* Ngozi lay awake in bed unwilling to leave the sanctity of her room, preferring to hide away - rather than face the new day. The sound of her children's voices chattering downstairs with Ekeatte, as she prepared them for school that morning, floated upstairs to her. Effiong had not bothered coming back to the bedroom that evening, choosing instead to remain downstairs, and continue no doubt from where he left off with his secret telephone conversation. Sleep had been elusive to her, and she had lain awake in terror, frightened that he might return for a repeat performance. It was therefore with untoward relief that she'd heard the front door open and shut, followed by the revving of one of their cars, before it zoomed off into the night, shortly after midnight. He hadn't returned ever since, not that she really cared at this point. Turning over on her side, she gently swung her feet off the bed, pulling the bed sheet around her for comfort, as she padded towards her dressing table. She winced in pain as she tried to sit on the chair, opting instead to perch at the edge of the seat. Her backside felt as though it was on fire. She gazed at the mirror and her tired, drawn out reflection stared back at her. She placed a finger gingerly on her cheeks, testing them for soreness. They were swollen and visibly bruised from the blows Effiong had dealt her last night. Her eyes were swollen and red from crying and there was a cut on her lower lip. Her recently fixed hair was dishevelled and looked unkempt. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and she nearly jumped out of her skin on hearing it. Taking a long, drawn, deep breadth, she managed to gather her wits about her and force a non-committal "What is it?" through her stiff lips. "Madam, I'm about to take the children to school", she heard Ekeatte say from the other side of the door. "Is there anything you would like me to do before going? Or while I am away?", she asked. "No. No, I'll be fine. I'll be out later. Go ahead and take them to school", she instructed the girl. "Yes madam", came the response. Ngozi listened intently to Ekeatte's receding footsteps and once sure that the girl was out of earshot, picked up her phone and dialled a number from her contact list. She waited patiently as the number rang. "Hello?" Inquired a feminine voice at the other end of the line. "Hello. Mama Ngozi, Kedu?" She asked her namesake, greeting her in their local dialect. "Odima", replied the other woman. "How are you Madame Bassey?" "Nna, my sister, I don't know o! I need to see you today." She asked, with her voice trembling slightly. This did not go unnoticed by the other, older woman at the end of the line. "Can you come over to my place by ten o'clock this morning? We can talk for a while before I go for our church's prayer meeting at eleven." "Yes, I can. I'll see you then". "Okay, then. Later" Mama Ngozi responded before the line clicked dead. ******************* A couple of hours later, Ngozi pulled up her car in front of Iya Samuel's neighbour and friend's house, Mama Ngozi. She took a brief look at her reflection in her car's rear mirror before stepping out. Her eyes were hidden behind a pair of huge black designer sunshades, and her face was covered with layers of carefully applied foundation powder and make up. Smiling cheerfully to the neighbours nearby, she approached Mama Ngozi's door and knocked. The door swung open, revealing a much older woman in her late fifties. Unlike her friend Iya Samuel who was the Icon of fashion and beauty, Mama Ngozi appeared to be at the opposite end of the spectrum. Dressed in an overflowing, shapeless white gown, adorned with a thick yellow slash for a belt, she had an equally huge, white baker's cap on her short, cropped hair. She stood barefooted, at the door whilst ushering her guest in. "Nne Ngozi, are you okay? You sounded unhappy on the phone when you called me", she asked getting straight to the point. The softness of her friend's voice and concern within it was Ngozi's undoing as she broke down in tears and recounted the events of last night to the older woman. She listened attentively, shaking her head in pity to Ngozi's story, without interrupting it. She handed her friend a box of tissues to wipe her eyes after recounting her story. "My dear, I've heard what you say. What you see happening to you is the work of all your enemies, jealous of your happy home and wanting to wreck and take your husband from you." Ngozi nodded in agreement. "You must take heart", her friend continued. "Look, you must count yourself lucky. All of what happened is just a storm in a tea cup", she added. "You are the one with the ring on your finger. Ignore all those small-small girls running after Effiong. Dem go tired, trust me. Just ignore and bear it my sister." "Like I've always told you, this is no normal occurance, Ngozi. You need to come with me for this prayer meeting. There is a fasting programme going on at the moment that I think the pastor will ask you to join. You must stay strong to fight, and I mean fight the forces", she added with fervour. In the meantime, don't be angry with your husband. Show him more love." "How?!! How do I show him more love, than I've already done, Mama Ngozi?" The younger woman wailed. "I've borne him two healthy sons and I'm carrying his third child! I cook for him, clean for him, what else does he want?" "Now listen! It's good you do all of those, but you need to do more my dear. Much more. Start by dressing sexy, don't ask questions that will annoy him. I know you cook for him, but make sure it's his favourite. Bring his water to the table, wash his hands if you must, above all, you must never give up on your man! You don't know the value of what you have until you loose it. Come, it's nearly time. Let's go to church and fight the evil doers with the holy ghost fire. Come, my sister." ************************************************* 1 Like |
