'comot for road mumu!' a man called out to lilian who was too deep in thought to notice. 'piiiii' a second reminder came as a car whose driver was trying to control swerved its way to her right and stopped abruptlly. The door opened and a young man who seemed to be around eighteen to twenty years came out looking furious. He was good looking thanks to his nicely carved features and fair complexion. He was not that tall but at least was taller than lilian. Though young, he had the air of an incumbent and his contenance at that moment though clear, seemed indecipherable. His pleasant face turned hostile as he made his way to Lilian who was too confused to move. [my battery is low. I will continue later ]

'what the hell is wrong with you? Are your eyes just there cause you re human? Cant you see?. You could have caused an accident if i wasn't careful' by this time he was a few inches from lilian who claimed mute. He looked intimidating to lilian not because he was huge or something but he seemed to have this air of authority over him. Her silence infuriated him and he let out a stream of invective. ' Are you deaf and blind at the same time. Cant you hear me?' silence 'geez you are just a waste of space' with that he turned and headed back to his car. 'a...am...so..rry' Lilian replied oblivious of his insults. The guy stopped and looked at her. He felt a little sorry for the way he had insulted her. She looked so forlorn with her solemn face. 'its okay. But what kept you so busy that you couldn't concentrate?' his voice was calm to Lilian's surprise. 'dont worry am ok' The guy stared at her speculatively for some minutes. 'ok. Anyway an Eric' he brought his hand out for a handshake which lilian took with a forced smile 'am lilian. Nice meeting you' 'nice name. Where are you going to?' he asked 'home' 'come let me drop you off. You might not be so lucky next time' Lilian shook her head 'dont worry i will take an mpv' 'please i insist....' 'oga your motor block road o' the guy who had earlier dictated to Lilian called out. 'come on' Eric said trying to convince her. She hesitated a little before giving in. Besides she was to weak to wall or argue. 'thanks' eric smiled revealing his gap tooth as they made their way to his car. 'so tell me. what were you thinking about?' eric tried to initiate a conversation as he drove. 'nothing much just normal stuffs' Eric scoffed 'normal stuffs? I dont think so. Come on you dont know if i could be of help' lilian stared into space as if deciding. 'ok ok. I was just coming back from the hospital' 'that doesn't answer my question' he rolled his eyes. 'its my mum' Lilian admitted 'what happened to her?' 'she's having some health issues that may lead to death' she replied sadly 'oh am so sorry' Eric consoled 'i shouldn't have asked you' he had a sorrowful mien as if he had recalled something. 'its alright.' changing the subject she asked 'so are you a student?' 'yeah am in my first year. You?' 'just passed out of secondary school. Whats the name of your school' 'convenant. Just came back to see my dad' his voice changed 'and your mum?' 'dead' 'oh am so sorry...:..' Lilian began. 'dont mention. An used to it' he smirked. Lilian stared at him. Here was a man whose mum was dead and still goes about as he nothing happened. 'what if her mum dies' she thought and immediately thought against it. 'God please give of the fortitude' she silently prayed.

I just found out my work is not spaced. Please can anyone give me an idea on how to space it cause am using a phone to type.

Lilian suspected something foul the minute she stepped into the parlour. Though the parlour was still as it was left, there was an air of danger in it.
She got to her room and was shocked to see everywhere in total confusion. Her clothes were all over the place and dirt littered everywhere. At a corner where a pile of books arranged in descending order was supposed to be was graced with heaps upon heaps of torn books and papers. Her shoes and clothes were in every corner, there were also broken glasses everywhere and the window looked like something that had been shattered deliberately.
Lilian surveyed her room in horror as she sighted some drops of what looked like blood near her 'world war ll' bed. She walked towards it and was terrified to see a knife whose point was covered with thick blood laying there. She picked it up,her hand shaking and noticed it was stopping a note from flying off. She picked the note and opened it. On the note was written shabbily just a word that scared her out of her skin.
"REVENGE"
she dropped it in fear as she sturtered backwards. Her body shaking in fright as she desperately looked for any clue to the unexpected danger. She scurried to her now open and untidy drawer and searched frantically for what she knew not. She just had to find something!
She picked her phone and made to call her father but out of fear, the phone fell on the hard tiles meeting its end. She pinched herself hoping it was a dream.
Her fears heightened when she heard what sounded like light steps coming towards her room. She became confused. What should she do? Run? Or Stay?. She choose the later.
Whoever had those feets were getting closer now. She shivered nervously as a tall frame came into view.
"Helo dear friend" Lilian's eyes increased in awe at the sight before her.
This could not be! No! No! No! It cant. She stepped backwards as the figure made its way towards her with an evil smirk.
"NO!" Lilian screamed "NO! NO NO NO NOOOOÖOOOOOOOO.........."
Lilian woke up!
She was breathing heavily as she rubbed her eyes with her sweating hand for a better view. Thank God it was a dread. She looked round her room since it was noon and stopped in great shock.
Her room was in a great mess!

Don't worry, if it is a QWERTY(i mean the multi task key pad) type of phone, then you can always make use of the "enter key", which is always at the last botton at the bottom of every QWERTY keyboard from the right. .. Press or hold down for some secs, and it will transfer the cursor to the next line


If it is that of ordinary, you will have to make use of the "0" botton or the "*" botton... Hold for some seconds(if it is 0, then it will show the "enter" and move the cursor to the next line. For the * key, just press and look for the "enter" sign. . And you are good to go .

Oh my God! Am so so sorry. Please i will try to update consistently...i hope my big aunties and uncles never abandon me.

"Kathy you dont understand.....we cant continue in this again!" Jack spoke as he sank on a sofa. Picking his phone he continued "i dont think we are meant for each other.....dont you get it?" he sighed as he watched Kathy's tiny frame shiver with fear. He expected that.

"What do you mean by that Jack?" Kathy asked in fear. Her eyes were filled with tears which refused to fall. Her red gown as if understanding her predicament comforted her body by sticking to it thereby revealing her curves. Her skin had turn pale as if responding to the stimuli generated by Jack's voice.
Jack responded with a smirk as he searched for something in his phone. His eyes was illuminated by the phone's screen making it possible for one to see his brown eyeballs as it was night. As if acheiving his aim, he smiled as he got up and walked towards Lilian showing her what looked like a female figure on his phone.
"Tell me what you observe"he said as she looked at the figure in confusion.


The figure was a tall female who had on a yellow dress and a blue shoe complimented with a blue purse. She was very beautiful with her hair tied up with a ribbon like a ponytail. Her dress was tight thereby revealing spicy curves.
Physically she was all a guy would ask for but she didnt understand Jack's motive for showing her the picture.


"What do you mean?" she asked.

"What do you observe?"he asked again with a monotone.

She looked closer, that face............that smile...........those eyes........that look....wait! She had seen those features somewhere. She thought hard as she kept on looking at the picture. Wait a minute.....that was her purse! She looked closely at it to be sure.
Yes! It was hers but how did it get there?

Jack grew impatient......his right hand with which he help the phone up for her to see was begging to be let down. He knew she knew who the figure was and wanted her to say it her self.

"Are you gonna talk or not?" he asked impatiently

"i...i...th..ink...i know ...he...r"she stammered.

He smiled. He was getting there.
"whats her name?"

"thats what am trying to recollect" she replied "but why this?" she looked up.

"a question for a question?" Jack asked rolling his eyes. "kathy can never learn" he chuckled as Kathy rolled her eyes back.

"i think i remember now!" she replied suddenly "Thats my friend"

Jack nodded his head satisfied as if he was a teacher whose dull student had gotten an answer right. He finally fulfilled his right hand's wish.
"Thats right. Now i want you to compare yourself with her" he went back to the sofa and sat looking at kathy.

"excuse me?"

"you heard me"
Silence "ok let me help you." he stood up once again.
" What happens when a Lion sees a bigger meat?"

"uhm it goes after it?" Kathy replied still confused.

"good!"Jack smiled. "now the lady you saw in that picture is what a lion would call a bigger meat" Kathy made to talk but he shushed her "and by bigger meat i mean she is much more better than its previous meat. Now to be honest that lady there is more beautiful,classier,enchanting and above all more endowed than you are"

The tears that refused to fall came streaming down as she understood what he meant. She knew her 'friend' was in all aspects better than her but never believed that of all the guys in campus it was her fiance that had the guts to compare them both and she knew what that meant. She needed no seer to inter prete. She went into the room, took her belongings and came out. Her hands shook as she wore her sandals. She used her hanky to wipe her tears away as she looked directly into Jack's eyes.
"There is always something greater than a player"
Those were her last words as she picked her bag and headed towards the door.
A player would always be a player.

I know am a very bad gurl for leaving this story unfinished but i couldnt help it. Anyway i will try my very best 2 finish it soon.

Darkness filled the earth as dust travelled up and down....the lights could only light up the well constructed lane in which cars passed by leaving the pedestrians to decide their own faith. Men, women and children could be seen with either torches or phones as they walked to their various destinations. The rumour which flied about had instilled a great deal of fear in everyone and no one wanted to fall victim......the sky was starless and dark with the full moon as its only source of light, this confirmed the rumours as every one was now convinced that a group of strange beings had invaded the earth.
If not for the noises the car made, you would clearly hear the heartbeat of everyone who was trying to reach home as ordered by the government.
Suddenly a screeching sound was heard from afar followed by what looked like a thunder crossing the dark sky but making no sound. There was a sudden commotion as everyone cried for help.....you could hear clusters of feet everywhere as people ran home. No one wanted to be left behind......even cars ignored the traffic lights and sped home....the police men who had taken it upon themselves to pick an offence in every car that came their way were nowhere to be found.
Suddenly the lights went off welcoming darkness and this took fear to another level.......Mothers screamed for their children and fathers screamed for their families and in an instant, the streets were vacated with not even a single insect flying around. Every where was very calm.......and then it happened.


The moon disappeared from the sky revealing what looked like tiny dots of light in the sky but they werent stars because it seemed as if it coming down and the nearer to the land, the bigger it became


The ground shook when it came in contact with what looked like a pair of large feets. Whoever it was that had those feets was certainly not human. It's leg were very tall and was covered with the skin of a wild boar. It didnt have a stomach but had a very hard chest with four hands that were bare. It had a red cloak covering its backside completely and a head attached to its chest with an exception of a neck....it had two.....no wait.....three eyes with the third eye attched to it's forehead....it had no nose but a large mouth covering that took both the nose space, and its space. Its ears were like that of a monkey and it stood upright.
This strange being was a giant as it stood at about 15ft above the ground. Its four hands were crossed as it watched other beings fall. The other beings had similar features but only smaller. The descended randomly and marched to where their leader who was the giant being was.....there were hundreds of them each carrying what looked like a clay pot in their hands. The knelt down and bowed as they chanted.
"we hail thee oh great one"
Their leader nodded in approval before they got up, their trio eyes on their leader as if expectant.


Expectedly, a golden pot appeared on his head and he took it wit h his upper two hands. It contained a brown liquid which he poured on the floor his third eye not leaving the sky.
The brow liquid substance produced what looked like a shapeless smoke at first but which later transformed into the figure of a young woman. Finally it's third eye left he sky and followe its other two eyes to look at the young woman.


"Dae" she said reffering to the leader " time is not on our side.....have you found the maiden?"

Dae shook his head and in a booming voice said "but we know where she is"


"where is she?" she asked


"She is the daughter of of a human"


Her eye brows furrowed in anger at the mention of 'human'.


" I, Sakira is afraid of no human!"


"Even children of the one above?" Dae asked knowing the reply.... Sakira kept quiet for some minutes then spoke up.



"whose daughter is she?" she asked in a hoarse voice.

He waited for a minute as if debating on weather to talk or not.



"i asked a question" she repeated.


"Daniel"

My opinion

The room was a clear picture of darkness when lilian woke up....she quickly turned the torchlight or a nearby table on as she looked up to the mirror. Small beads of sweat found their way from her forehead to her cheeks as she panted........her eyes had bags under them and her cheeks were a bit swollen. She tried wiping off the beads of sweat but it just kept coming. She let out a long sign as she went back to her bed but didnt lie on it....she was scared of sleeping and having those nightmares again..


She sat as she thought of how her life had been ever since the death of her mother.....she couldnt believe that she was still part of the family because of the indiffrent attitude her step father and sister displayed. It was
as if they didnt care for her anymore.....she could tolerate her step sister's but her step father's attitude was something else. He didnt care if she was alive or dead....her once loving family had turned into somethin else as they objectified her.
Lilian wouldnt have minded much if Faith hadnt told her that her stay in that house had come to an end....she had nowhere else to go and this was not what she bargained for. She had no other place to go, even Mara was travelling out for her education if not she would have gone to her house......thinking of Mara, she thought about her education. She was among the lucky few to gain adimission into UNIZIK but her step father had sworn over his dead body that he wont give her a dime for her fees.
She didnt want to miss this opportunity because she knew it might not come again. She had some money in her account but it was only enough to see her through her first semester. She knew she had to start working immediately but didnt have any job. She thought hard to see if she could find any solution but couldnt until she thought of Leo.


Before leaving, Leo had said that if she needed anything, she should give him a call but she didnt want to so as not to be tagged dependent......she knew Leo wouldnt think of her as such but she wasnt going to take chances.
She remembered seeing an advert for workers when she went to anambra to pay her acceptance fee and though she wasnt sure of getting hired or employed she decided to give it a try....

She thought of more random things till she fell asleep only to be woken up with a hot slap.
Lilia gasped in pain as she looked up....
"wake up you lazy bitch!" Faith ordered
Lilian could feel anger rising within her but she controled it.
"dont you hear me? Huh?" faith asked pushing Lilian up roughly by her left hand. Lilian struggled to make faith let go of her but faith was stronger. She then used her right hand and pushed faith so hard that she fell on the floor on her bum..faith gave a loud shout of pain that generated footsteps hurriedly making their way to Lilian's room.
Lilian gasped. She knew she was in deep trouble... She rushed to Faith's side trying to calm her down before the owner of those steps surfaced but she was too late as she felt an instant blow on her tummy. She sprawled on the floor not bothering to look at her father. Mr Daniel helped Faith who was crying now on her feet before turning once again to Lilian.

"HOW DARE YOU!!" he gritted between his teeth.

"am sorry ddd..ad..."
kpa! Came a slap on Lilian's face making her tumble.

"ave done you times without number! I AM NOT YOUR FATHER!" Mr Daniel shouted "i can never be the father of a bastard"


Lilian sobbed harder. Faith had a smirk on her face, her plan was working perfectly.

"what happened dear" Mr Daniel asked Faith softly

faith began faking tears " ugh dad...i came to ... wake her up so that we could go to market...but instead she called me a fool and pushed me to the floor......"

" Thats not true!" Lilian interrupted

"you dare interrupt her when she is talking........"


"am sorry" Lilian said admists sobs unknowingly interrupting mr Daniel.

Mr Daniel's eyes widened " Thats it!"
he marched to Lilian's ward robe an started pushing her belongings out.

"what are you doing father" Faith asked

Mr Daniel stopped for a minute and pointed at Lilian.
