Aside from the fact that Navas seems very well recommended, look at the timing of the signings.

1.David De Gea was rumored to be off to Real even before the window opened yet no obvious move was made to replace him.
2. Victor Valdes acted up and almost immediately, LVG signs Romero
3. De GEa sale goes through (almost) and united sign Navas (almost)

The sequence of events indicates to me that Romero was signed to replace Valdes as a back up to David De Gea and when it became impossible to profitably keep De Gea, united had to get a better keeper than Romero..

What did you read on twitter? I read LVG stopped the contract that was offered to DDG, so isn't it safe to say; if LVG is out of the picture. We have people who can convince DDG to renew. One of them is SAF.

That we deliberately botch this transfer either by faxing the paper late to la liga office or we sent it in a bad format.
