vooks: I need help bro. I would have gone through scriptures with you but no time. I told you how this works in experience. Summary: There is a tongue as a sign to unbelievers that comes as God wills. E.g. Speaking in language to foreign locals. And you don't know what you said but they do. And also the one for edification of the body of Christ which comes with interpretation either from you or another person. This comes as God wills. There is a prayer and worship one, you can start it as you will and can also be in others peoples languages or tongues of angels. This is spoken to God and not men. And received at the baptism. This was the one Jesus said, in My Name they will do. The Corinthian church messed everything up and mixed it. So Paul had to correct it. |

misreal: That's the issue. Most people nowadays don't like to hear word. That's why I will not waste my time again debating doctrines with people. |

Jeromejnr:My broda, Regardless of the various species of tongues, nothing uninterpreted is to be admitted in public worship. If we can't understand what you sayin, zip it. That's Holy Spirit |

Re: ALL Pentecostals Should Read This by Jeromejnr(m): 4:36pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
vooks: Agreed. But that does not mean in a public worship everyone can't pray in tongues all together. Its different from ministering to people in tongues without interpretation or giving thanks in tongues. |

Re: ALL Pentecostals Should Read This by vooks: 4:40pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
Jeromejnr:you can all pray in tongues if you all interpret. But it should be done orderly. Hear Holy Spirit speaking; 1 Corinthians 14:26-28 (KJV) How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God You can't interpret tongues in a room of even 5 bubbling simultaneously |
Re: ALL Pentecostals Should Read This by Jeromejnr(m): 4:45pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
vooks: It says everyone that hath a doctrine, psalm and tongue to share before the whole church. Which meant someone might have come up and spoke in tongues before the congregation without interpretation. It didn't say don't speak In tongues at all in church. Or as a prayer group. Notice the last line. "Keep silence in church and speak to himself and God" Still in church. But not In front of the congregation to minister to them. There is a difference. |
Re: ALL Pentecostals Should Read This by vooks: 4:45pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
misreal:First, there is no scripture that says one needs evidence of baptism of Holy Spirit much less that the evidence being tongues. That is doctrines of men that make the word of God of non-effect. What evidence do you have that you are born again? What about evidence that your name is written in the book of life? Or better, that your sins are forgiven? |
