our full back are spectacular to watch...Shaw and Darmiam
Schweini shows he is top class
De Gae good to have you back
Martial, I believe you make it big here

everyone impress aside Depay.. won't blame Fellaini much cos he is not a striker

@bolded seriously... n I'm lovin' it. Those guys are still young and can develop into world class full backs. They're perfect to me all round.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 9:42pm On Sep 12, 2015
Regardless of our Striker Situation, we shouldn't be in a hurry to push Martial into the starting 11....

Life they say is in stages!

They aint perfect yet. Darmian's decision making in attack is still poot. And he seems unsure of himself goin forward. But defensively, he's a rock.

Shaw is good defensively and in making forward runs. But his final ball and his crosses are below par.

Smalling is still the only perfect piece so far in that back four.

But as u said, they're all young and canwill still improve

On the evidence of what I've just seen, I'd rather have him upfront than Wazza... A gamble, yes. But this one looks highly likely to pay off!

I totally agree with you, especially the Wazza part.

I just want Martial to be consistent in his performances to be able to build full confidence. For me he does not even need to be fantastic, just show consistency in this debut season, then we will be sure we have gem in our hands.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY: 9:56pm On Sep 12, 2015
Wazza should learn how to press @ least. when a back pass is made, see a 30+ year old Schweini pressing the defense & even GK, but Rooney will never do that unless we are trailing. that is the most frustrating trait he has shown this season.

@ 3-1 up, see Martial closing down the GK. @ least let's see some desire, its not even about the goals. even if na charity work person dey do you go put some energy naa

Make una no dey call Wazza abeg. He should join Depay on the bench when he's back.

You cant expect consistency at this stage of his career. Even Messi at 19 didnt really have that consistency yet. That's the age when they are very inconsistent. We just have to support the kid and take the good with the bad because there will be lots of ups and downs at this stage of his career.

Yes we take the good and the Bad! All am saying is that I hope and pray the good is more than the bad so that we can see the trajectory of his potential heading towards the positive side.

So you all saw the rubbish Depay has been playing abi?

Did Martial need an adaptation process to score for manure? One scumtwat here was telling me that Memphis is new to the league and needs time to settle. Once you have it as a footballer, you have got it. Manure might end up selling Depay next year.

Anyways, congrats manure on your win today.

Do you actually knw how the term 'manure' came about??..... you just use words because you heard Akpos and Nnamdi use it. Blockheads like you are the reason ppl despise 'Aresnal. You want to slate depay, ask yourself is there a player his age grade better than him in your squad? i would listen to chelsea n man city but definitely not you...

When you show me an Arsenal player who surpased depay' s personal achievements in Europe last season, ill shut up. But i expect you to insult me instead because in truth you can't produce anyone. The worst of our youngsters will beat u in the league as we do all the time.

Manchester United cannot get close to winning the Premier League this season, according to Rio Ferdinand.

The Old Trafford side beat Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday to go second in the league after five games, with Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial on target.

While only Manchester City sit above Louis van Gaal's side, former Red Devils defender Ferdinand does not believe they can mount a serious challenge for the title this term.

"They'll finish in the top four," the ex-England defender told the Telegraph. "But I don't think they'll go close to winning the league.

"The philosophy is completely different from what it used to be. Their philosophy at the moment seems to be: ‘We'll keep the ball more than you, you won't have comfortable possession. Us suffocating you with possession is our first form of defence’.

"Man United supporters now have to go away and re-educate themselves on how to watch Man United. Don't go there expecting to see free-flowing, attacking, gung-ho football. It's methodical, side to side, wait for an opportunity to come. They suffocate other teams.

"Van Gaal is big enough, strong enough and experienced enough to know that he's not going to please everyone."

United's spending has increased immensely since Van Gaal was appointed coach and Ferdinand is not convinced the major investment is making them a better side.

“You think, ‘You've spent all that money, where is the centre-half?” he added. “Daley Blind? He’s a fantastic all-round footballer but he's not a defender.

"He's not going to spot danger as quick as a natural defender. He's indecisive in certain areas, he's not comfortable, he's not used to being in certain positions and then the ball is behind and he can't recover.

“The real top, top drawer players are playing for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. They make big differences in the big games and you have to be a special team to stop those players."

The 36-year-old brought an end to a 12-year spell at United when he left to join Queens Park Rangers in 2014 before retiring in the summer and he admits he was not happy at being forced out of Old Trafford.

“I was disappointed that I wasn't allowed to stay. Speaking to the lads now, they say it's a great education. It's different to what they've ever known," he added.

"Everything's changing other than the groundsman and the chef.

"I was talking to Nemanja Vidic and we were both saying the change is unreal in terms of the personnel and the transfer policy. We were saying, 'If they'd spent £50 million when we were there, we'd have won how much more?’"

@bolded Amen to that.

However I can't find an error on their part in the Liverpool game which isn't common to all defenders. Make dem sha dey develop dey go. Shaw in particular is stamping his name on the LB position. Maybe Coogar will have a change of heart about him now

Some things Ferdinand said are correct. Plato said Utd played better n the first half against Liverpool yesterday. That man prefers Utd have 100% possession in a game with no chances created and no goals to a match where Utd has 20% and score 5 goals.
