Reyginus:the system is being built. you are not privy to all the moves buhari is making. in the fullness of time everything will bubble to the surface and you will be confronted with an air-tight system that you cant break. just wait for it. many moves are happening. buhari is not taking all these trips abroad because he is a tourist. but you will get to find out in due time |

chiboy11: I said it earlier. As i have read this and assuming i have N2bn at home now, what stops me from going to 10 banks tomorrow and opening new accounts or visiting 5 BDC guys to stock dollars, pounds and Euro ? Buhari still reasons with 1960 mentality and his supporters are also forced to do so. 3 Likes |

The earlier the clueless Emefiele leaves the better for our economy. This is the worst CBN Gov in Nigeria's history, who takes orders from the Comercials banks instead of directing them. The man is a waste of space -a member of Jonathan's clueless team who brought Nigeria to her kneels.... |

sukkot:Pls I employ you to think like an educated person living in 2015! Do you even know how the black market and underworld works? Do a comprehensive research before displaying your myopic mind here. FYI GEJ era is history, let's concentrate on the present and future. I won't reply your mentions again, except you have something really intelligent to back up your assertions. |

sukkot: Let us reason this sukkot. 1. People who have looted, keep most of their loots in Foregin currencies and by acquiring assets. 2. You posited that they would have to change the money to Naira in order to spend it, that is true. 3. But what you failed to consider and state, which I think is deliberate is that even if the colour is not changed, the dollar still needs to be converted to Naira in order to spend it. 4. So your position that if the colour is changed, it will enable the government catch those who would want to spend their dollar by changing it to Naira does not hold water or better put, it beats logic.- it will take the government the same energy and effort to catch those even if the colour is not changed. 4. By the way, why the tribal jokes? I thought you were a lot smarter. 2 Likes |

400billionman: How do you carry 2B Naira cash to the bank, without EFCC beckoning you for explanation? Even if you are going to split it up into fragments, what makes you think some money launderers are not agents of EFCC! The higher the number of those involved, the more probability of being caught. The currency change is not as clueless as you are insinuating. It is one of money hoarders worst nightmares. 1 Like |

gentleoyink:tribal jokes is just nairaland banter between yoruba and igbo. igbos take a swipe at yoruba all the time and i return the favor. its harmless fun. and you say they acquire assets. how much assets can you acquire ? you cant just go abroad and buy up their house stocks. most of these thieves have 2 houses at most abroad. so thats a weak point you made. they dont let foreigners just come in and buy up all their house stocks. and yes the dollars have to be converted back to naira and you cant change too many or you will be caught. so either way you have been impeded from spending your stolen loot |

sukkot:Lol. And you cannot distribute the dollars among twenty of your close friends and each changing it more than five times in a day in different black markets and in different banks? Lol. And besides before we use a lie. Please, tell me, who keeps billions of dollars at home? And also tell me, why would he want to change the billions of dollars? As in, what business is this that will require a cash payment of billions and in its naira equivalent? |

Sappyman: Do you think this is true? Do you know how much money in circulation? And then have considered the cost? What about using the money to pay the salaries of workers in states like Osun? Or used to pay contractors who have abandoned various road construction projects across the country? Don't you consider this a very senseless move if true? Will he also change the colors of the dollars too? |

Reyginus:it will not defeat corruption 100 percent but it will defeat it 80 percent. i think 80 percent is a good ratio. thats a win. no country in this world can corruption be 100 percent defeated but if you can minimize it then you have won the battle. and buhari will win that battle |

400billionman: You take the money to the bank works quite well for the government -- but why would you want to shoot yourself in the foot? You take N2b to BDC; CBN now keeps tabs on BDCs. BTW, N2b is a lot of money, if you have actually tried to hide big cash before, you'll get what I mean -- it always leaves irritating little traces -- you can only pray. Why do you think people just sit on the cash in secret places in the first place? |

sukkot:Lololololol. I don't think you even understand where you are standing. Let me help here. Before a dollar is spent in naira equivalent it must first of all be changed to naira. That is, irrespective of whether the naira notes are changed or not. So tell me, how will the change stop reduce corruption if in both case you will still have to change the dollars before use here? |
Re: CBN Boss, Emefiele May Resign Over Buhari’s Order To Change Colour Of naira note by 400billionman: 12:22pm On Sep 24, 2015 |
Volksfuhrer: That is not what i will tell you here. I will look at the banking policies and use them to my own advantage. Are you also going to stop me from changing that N2bn to dollars and pounds by tomorrow ? Are you going to stop me from buying lands and landed property by tomorrow with it ?Tell Buhari to also change the color of dollars. This is not 1984. You dont burn down your own house in order to catch a rat. This is what buhari is doing. Destroying Nigerias economy to catch looters. Be it as it may, not all the people having such money are under EFCC searchlight. EFCC only takes action after receiving petitions. Fighting corruption is an ongoing process but Buhari chooses to fight backwards. Why ? Do you think the people who have such money are illiterates ? 3 Likes 1 Share |

sukkot: People who've not touched excessive cash don't get it. They think it is easy to hide huge illegal cash . . . Why would Tafa have kept millions of cash of different currencies in his Ikire home instead of buying properties or in banks or transferring all, even during OBJ when it was much easier. 1 Like 1 Share |

Reyginus:when i say reduce corruption, i mean all those who have gotten away with their corruption will now face hardship when trying to spend their money. a system is created where it is hard for you to dispose of your money. thats a success. and a new system is implemented to where future corruption cannot thrive. you think this your emefiele character is leaving a good bank job because he is bored ? he is leaving because the system being created is a hard nut to crack. no more egunje for him lol 1 Like 1 Share |
