babaearly:I have read between lines of your replies to the OP.... nice points you're trying to make... but what I saw was a personal opinion that was expressed with the wrong choice of words. So I chose to read the meaning instead of the lines. Now my input on this is, before the OP was so many other party sympathizers with different view to our political eccentricity. Thing is, Tonye has made himself interested in Nigerian politics and it's modus operandi not really because of the possible renums that may come from doing so, but from that pleasure of being "right" with predictions. It may sound weird but I have such zeal too. Thing is I have a group of intellects on twitter I discuss this with and we just watch the trend grow. It's just fun to understand how this people think and u see u will careless of what they think. If it pays him to analyze political trends, why not continue, did u create job and found us not coming to get them? Everything is a job as long as it pays you! How lucrative it is is just a personal view and decision. So really I appreciate the fact he takes time to research and predict and even have the guts to share his "lame" views with us, u can dissect his view without emotions and u will enlighten the poor minds on this forum you know. And again his article supported the probe of corrupt officials including saraki. Never forget it's all a game of interest, the weak don't indulge in it due to moral assertions and obligations you know. Thanks for understanding 1 Like |

I have said it before that the problem i have with you Barcanista is that you consider yourself to be too intelligent and knowledgeable but in reality you know very little. Worst of all some people whom i consider to be members of the National Association of Wailers (NAW) consider you as their 'hero'. Very funny!!! Now let's talk about this your beer parlour analysis. You are looking at politics from the face value. Politics is deeper than that. I could not stop laughing when i read your statement "let's teach APC how to play politics". Very funny!!! Are you talking about the same PDP that lost not just the presidential elections but most of the states including my state (Benue) which they lost for the first time? So you think the APC will just fold their hands and allow this plot scale through? Think again! The emergence of Saraki as the senate president and the plan to make Ekweremadu his deputy was hatched in David Mark's house. Now David himself is under serious pressure; over here in Benue we are working on removing him using the tribunal and i tell you the truth the case is hot (David Mark that doesn't usually appear in court for his election cases appeared this time around). And not to talk about the files being compiled against him. David Mark, the chief schemer of the current PDP is very careful. Talking about the 12 "rebel" APC senators, have you heared anything from them? Have you heared a word from Dino Melaye the chief architect of the like mind group I believe you also know he is being kept busy at the court by Smart Adeyemi? Dino and co are not clean and with what is happening with Saraki they have realised that things are hot. Of what use is aligning with the PDP if Saraki goes down You talked about being given head of commitees. Will they accept head of commitees and face corruption charges in court? You should also know that these senators can still align with their party the APC and enjoy the said chairmanship of commitees. Contrary to your assertion, the PDP does not have upper hand, rather the APC does. If Saraki falls the "rebel" senators will fall back to the APC. Somebody said the APC should not give Akume the senate presidency position because in his words, there will be scandals. He said those in Benue know what he is talking about. Well I'm not just in Benue but also a son of the soil and i don't know what he is talking about. Senator George Akume is very fit and qualified to be the senate president, and that is David Mark's nightmare. Once again, Barcanista just relax and watch the power play. God bless Nigeria God bless the APC, Change to Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Firefire: From your statement it is clear that you know little about Benue. Akume has nothing to show as achievements when he was governor I was in Benue during Akume's time in office, i was in Benue during Suswam's time and i am still in Benue right now. As a resident of Benue i have enough facts to counter your claim. Firstly I'm not holding brief for Akume but when someone says something that is wrong that i have knowledge of, i will address it. So let's get started. 1. You can never compare Akume and Suswam's government. For those who don't know Suswam is the immediate outgoing governor whose government is the definition of failure and corruption. 2. Akume established the Tomato blending plant in Wanune, but Suswan came and told us the equipments there were substandard because he was fighting with Akume. He said he will setup something better. That was the death of the factory. 3. The College of Health Sciences and the Teaching hospital of the Benue State University were projects conceived and executed by the Akume administration. Suswam then completed the teaching hospital. I want to believe you know the jobs that these projects created. 4. Akume opened streets (road construction) in Makurdi and other parts of the state. Suswam continued with this projct with monies already allocated to it. 5. Akume built General hospitals across the local governments of the state. 6. Akume built the owner occupier housing estate along Abu King Shuluwa road, a housing scheme that gave civil servants in the state the opportunity of owning houses on owner occupier base. Some of these civil servants wouldn't have owned their own house. The estate was built in an area that was considered 'bushy and outskirt of town'. Today that estate apart from giving the subscribers to the scheme their own houses, it also brought development to the area. You need to see the kind of properties that are being built there. 7. Akume had a working water supply project that brought pipe borne water to Makurdi. In fact during Akume's time i was bathing with Shower in my house. Suswam pulled out the pipes when his fight with Akume started, telling us they were rusted with the promise of connecting new pipes. But that was the end of pipe borne water in Makurdi. 8..Akume built Judges Quarters, a housing estate for judges. Judges quarters has become the unofficial GRA in Makurdi, the state capital. After the building of Judges quarters and allocation to judges in Benue, some of the remaining lands were then sold to private individuals who built houses there. Akume himself has his house there, even the current governor Samuel Ortom lives there, i am also planning on relocating to Judges quarters. 9. Akume built Kwararafa quarters housing project which was transfered to civil servants on owner occupier base. I have an uncle that benefitted from this scheme and today he still owns that house. These are some of the achievements i can remember for now, and they are still very visible enough and verifiable. There is nothing wrong with Akume becoming the senate president. He is fit and qualified. Cheers... 1 Like |

Is this dude called barcanista still here Anyway, your analysis is welcome. I won't say it's not possible because Nigeria politics has brought many impossibilities to the table. Though I know the chances are very slim. Once again, thanks for recognising other wailers, your association is gathering strength. |
