^^^ the tightening could be Braxton hicks which us your bodypreparing for labour, as long as its not painfull you'll be just fine @ tonneth.

No need to be scared. Yes induction is painful but then it's faster all things being equal. In my last preg i was induced at 37weeks. Induction started by 7am and i gave birth 10am. It was very painful mainly towards the end when they increased the drip to 64drops per min. After delivery i felt so strong and was walking up n down dat d nurses had to ask dat i remain on my bed till they say otherwise. I was later discharged dat same day. This was d opposite in my 1st where i suffered for long. Pls if u will b induced ask alot of questions from d beginning to the end. Drs are very positively cautious when dealing with women dat r knowledgeable and ask alot of questions. All the best

God has blessed me with a baby boy at Arne 12:45 am this morning. Even though I asked you people to pray for me and nobody offered a single word of prayer that I hv passed my edd without any sign. I still deem it fit to share my testimony. Though d devil rage but God of Living Faith took control and my baby is sharing the same birthday With Bishop Oyedepo as I ve prophesied from his conception not Knowing that God has stamped it.

What happened that you were induced as early as 37weeks? Just curious because I thought inducement is usually done when one has passed her EDD?

Babe! It was anaemia in late pregnancy. As soon as they corrected the anaemia and i had reached term, the practice is to induce and bring out the baby. Reason being they don't know what reduces the pcv and they wouldn't want it to go down again before labour.

It was induction oooo from wat d doctor told me.my baby was already engaged n i had to be induce cos i was leaking my fluid.
Infact one of d pregnant nurse dat took my delivery who is a ftm had to meet in wen i was in observation room dat i should put hand on her tummy n pray for her dat she wnt such quick labor.

Induction is not an alternative for CS. Find out the reason your Dr wants an elective CS for you. Do you have a previous scar? Did they do pelvimetry and assessed your pelvis inadequate? What's the lie of your baby? If it's just the weight, people birth 3.8kg every now and then. Engage your Dr in questions so that you can make an informed decision. Cheers

Did you say heavy bleeding? You may need to do a repeat scan

@ soonest I am 5 fit something.....everyone one I have spoken to says I should discard f doc story of elective cs.i should wait for normal labour or go for induction if I want dat I can push and it has jot been heard of asking someone for ellective wen the person has no issue and edd not even reached simply becuz of baby's weight which is gambling cuz some scan wil, say big baby and at delivery it is not d size scan gave.

Incompetent cervix,HIV mama,Pre-eclampsia, Placenta Previa, Placentia acreata, cord around baby neck, low amniotic fluid, repeat CS labour not progressing are the various reasons for CS, never ever ever has being a FTM been a reason for one...

3.8kg when people push out even 4.5kg!!!

Go to another hospital, if that consultant is not available & still want to be given an opportunity to try VB first..

Heavy bleeding Are you sure it wasn't a fraternal twin conception & that is shedding cos mplantation bleeding is not heavy, unless your heavy is relative.

How many pads do you use within 24hr..

Thanks for the response, I change pad twice daily and I have done 2 scans with this week, My doctor even advised to do the transvigina scan to be sure and the sac was intact.

seconded,my friend birthed 5kg vaginally, although they had to use a vaccum to extract.

if i remember correctly byvan also had 4.5kg or even 5

Yes, pls avoid it. It contains an active principle that causes intense contraction and may lead to miscarriage and premature labour. Also avoid unripe pawpaws.

To mamas dat afraid is catching their fear cos of induction lolz,ve been there b4 trust me I knw how u feel.I was 41wks+5days wen I did induction,d tablet was inserted in my vijay at 7am but contractions started around pass 11am n it was mild,was checked by to 2pm n was just 2cm.Real contraction started after d checked n I gave birth at 5:55pm wit no tear ftm o...My baby did not engaged even wen I was fully dilated n all went smoothly! Wat am trying 2 say is 'induction is not as bad as it sound' Free ur mind n let God do wat He alone knows how 2 do best! Ayo lo ma ba de loruko Jesu... But na my sweet mamas 4 here give me d morale wey I go 4 induction o ...

@Nwarosa Oh dear sorry about your loss, some mamas have eaten pineapple through out pregnancy and it didn't affect them, while some me inclusive have had terrible or near consequences after eating it.

I didn't know before too that pineapple can cause miscarriage until I ate them at 23 weeks and started spotting! But thankfully I ate only a little and the effect wasn't serious!

Since then I have stayed off it till I am ready to use its services When my baby is term.
