If yorubas had produced a man with a fraction of the Biafran courage in Ojukwu, there wouldn't be an Emir in yorubaland today.

When Afonja lost illorin to the Fulani caliphate 200 years ago, his yoruba people were afraid to fight back because they didn't want to die. 200yrs later are those cowardly yorubas living forever? Didn't they die eventually anyway?

So, you're saying he's excused for his role in scuttling the June 12 election result because a corrupt boss appointed him? So, Nwosu who could have come out plain and announced the original, and igbo man by the way, didn't do so and he's excused because IBB? I don't get really get you.

These biafra agitators are not being realistic. Maybe they live in onitsha and enugu and think south south will join them. If you live in Rivers or akwa ibom, you will see that the igbos are not accepted. Do you know that an igbo man cannot buy a piece of land in omuku. An Ikwerre man will say he is not igbo. Even if the south south decides to join, do you think you will see their oil, they will control that and the igbos will begin to shout marginalization again.

I am an igbo, but I don't think biafra is the way, neither do I think that the Nigerians will close a blind eye and allow an igbo presidency, so we need to fight for it politically by making allies and not enemies.
Its pathetic that an Igbo wannabe is hoping to depend on oil to develop himself when your hands and brains are intact angry
Broz, unlike Nigeria you'd not see any oil money to chop as long as its not coming from your cultural regional area.you'd only make do with whatever you're endowed with within your cultural regional area... For eg as an ukwangwa,I can't hope to live on oil coming from etche cultural regional area or the gas proceeds from the omambala regional area.
The regional areas pay just 1/5 of their GDP to the centre for redistribution to all the cultural regional areas including itself... So for industrialized regions like idemmili that'd ve Nnewi and ukwangwa that'd ve Aba,it'd be a big plus for them.
Broz,depend on yourself abeg grin

Yes Ndigbo will be better off if they seceded. Nigeria will never make it easy for an Igbo man to rise to anything apart from a spare parts dealer, the unwritten alliance between the Hausa and Yorubas is written in blood and religion...the Ndigbo are way too intelligent for a backward looking society...this from a Yoruba man

Re: Ndigbo Won’t Be Better Off Seceding From Nigeria – Ohanaeze Advises MASSOB by Nobody: 4:37am On Sep 28, 2015
nehas:
Everyone has been blackmailed into silence in Igboland. Kalu scares his own kinsmen with threats of scandal, "Do you know the information we have on each one of you?" After seeing the manner he mangles his undeclared enemies no right thinking Igbo leader will risk calling him to order as he could blow the trumpet on such a leader. Everyone is afraid and only him talking. That, exactly, is the real danger: The end is truly nigh the moment an entire people tremble under one man who claims a monopoly on truth.
...
The 1994 Rwanda genocide started with a Hutu radio broadcast urging Hutus to arm themselves against Tutsis demonized as cockroaches, trees, evil, etc. Intelligent Hutus did nothing to counter the dangerous message. When the massacre began they were killed alongside Tutsis by Hutu militias. For one hundred days the nebulous international community folded its hands and did nothing while Tutsi children were hacked with long knives and axes.
...
Igbos, also known as Ndigbo, must do something about Radio Biafra before it brings down the roof over their heads.

To condemn Kalu's insults is to confirm Ndigbo's confidence in those he maligned; especially Yorubas who have the grace to appoint Igbos into their state governments...

Kalu's opinion does not reflect Ndigbo's. Obviously the collective sin of these people was in removing former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from office.
...
Soyinka openly condemned the Igbo Holocaust of 1967-1970. So vocal was this great mind that Gen. Yakubu Gowon personally ordered his imprisonment without trial. A free Soyinka was a danger to the establishment so he was locked away in the far North. Then the killings escalated to a maddening frenzy. Alone in his lonely cell Soyinka continued to defend Igbos by writing his powerful "The Man Died" on rolls of toilet paper which he smuggled out to his publishers. He was awarded a Nobel Prize for literature because this powerful novel profiles man's irrepressible spirit against the forces of darkness. Anywhere on the earth surface Soyinka is studied the names "Biafra" and "Ibo" are hotly debated on account of this brilliant literature.

...did the great Col. Francis Fajuyi not pay the supreme sacrifice protecting our own son Gen. JTU Aguiyi-Ironsi? Hearing the collective scorn Radio Biafra pours on Yorubas would break the hearts of those Fajuyi left behind.
..
Kalu is dangerous branding Okorocha unfit to sit on a traditional ruler's stool. What stops him from broadcasting tomorrow that this senator or that professor cannot be crowned a traditional ruler because his great grandfather was a cook in the colonial army? ...
As with Kalu, so are certain Hausas and Yorubas who stir up anti-Igbo sentiments for political gains. Before former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Gen. Theophilus Danjuma some high-profile Yorubas repeatedly insulted Ndigbo as "traitors" and "rebels," only to be rewarded by the duo. Those in the habit of calling Ironsi a "drunken general" should be held fully accountable for what is happening today. Ironsi could not be a useless desk top general since he earned his ranks under British officers on merit rather than catchment.

Ndigbo will not give or take insults. The burden is on Hausa and Yoruba leaders to clamp down on Igbo haters as necessary step to neutralizing Radio Biafra. The relentless attack on peace loving Igbos fuels the hatred on Radio Biafra. That is why Kalu can never be convicted in the International Criminal Court, ICC, without first convicting his tormentors. He is the victim and not the victimizer. Northern emirs know it. Yoruba obas know it. And Buhari himself knows it.

But Kalu must be isolated as he has no place ...

Kalu's defeat in any contest is guaranteed as his opponents know how to make him fall upon his own sword in anger. Such predictable entity is hardly a leadership material for besieged Igbos who must live by camouflage, or what WEB du Bois called patent defence.

For his intellectual foreclosure Kalu must be urgently isolated. He has closed his mind to other possibilities as his revolution has one aim alone-Biafra or nothing. What about alternate Igbo President? His means is violence even though revolution can be accomplished by dialogue. His process is immediate but trend analysis suggests the birth of a new nation often takes time. ...
But Biafra has no allies within and without Africa as Kalu paints everyone with the same grotesque brush. He insults every nation, nationality and creed.
...
Believe it or not "cowardly" Yorubas, not "brave" Igbos, are closer to where Iran is today. Yoruba children rule today because their wise parents preferred to be a live dog to a dead lion; they refused to war-war over June 12.
...

You tried in stating the obvious truths usually being suppressed in the polity. But your write-up was entirely not free from traces of half-truths and frivolities which seem to suggest you're playing to the gallery.

If Nnamdi Kanu's view does not represent that of majority of Igbos, whose view then is - your own or Okorocha's? NO!

Can you mention the nations NK insults?
If NK is a not a leadership material is Okorocha or you one?

To state that Biafra has no allies is as good as stating that Igbos do not network or freely mingle and associate with other people.

For the likes of Okorocha, a clear conscience fears no accusation. If anyone is found credible by a people then winning an elective position in a democratic setting should not be a problem.

To test your objectivity and sincerity of purpose, can you post any article you wrote in the past condemning the highly inciting Radio Chanji in the build up to the 2015 general elections, and also the NADECO's unlicensed and inciting Radio Kudirat which hit the airwaves in the 1990s?

Do you know that people were killed on the streets of Lagos by OPC during the June 12 struggle? That Yorubas couldn't war-war over June 12 is no sign of bravery!

If there is any one tribe in the world that values and protects the stranger that tribe is Igbo. Igbos permeate almost every nook and cranny of the country, peacefully and immensely contributing their quota to the economic advancement of the locals and the country at large. There's virtually no record of Igbos on rampage causing havoc and fighting their 'host' for no just cause.

Igbos network with their 'host', build business empires and some of them even get married to their 'host', all for peaceful co-existence and building bridges.
Is there any tribe that exhibits such 'Nigerianness' than the Igbos? NO! Is that not building bridges?

But what do the Igbos get in return for this patriotic display of One Nigeria - threats and destruction of their lives and properties by the so called 'host'? Igbos are being harassed, molested and their legal businesses disrupted on regular basis by the 'host' and its government.

The Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have over the century propagated despicable, hate speeches in their mosques and still execute the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt. And they now have the presidency while the backstabbing Yorubas vice-presidency! Such a misnomer can only happen in the jungle!

How many of articles have you written to dare challenge the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris or Yorubas for their unjust ways?
How many of write-ups have you posted on NL to condemn the numerous killings and destruction of lives and properties that have been occurring for many decades in the North unabated?

You may have undertaken this lonely path because you feel the fringe benefits you and your people currently enjoy maybe threatened in the birth of a new nation. And so you deem it fit at this moment to attempt to dissuade a determined people.

It's wrong to insinuate that it's a privilege to the Igbos to be part of a government where they contribute in no small way to the economy of Lagos.

In the 1960s, a Fulani man, Umaru Altini was elected the Mayor of Enugu even as Zik was chased away from Lagos State by Awolowo's's tribal area boys after wining an election in SW. T.A Orji of Abia State and Sullivan of Enugu had Yorubas in their cabinets. In Imo State, Rochas has Hausa advicers.

Adekunle Fajuyi:
The ADC to Ironsi, Captain (Senator) Andrew Nwankwo, who was lucky to escape from the field of slaughter revealed what actually transpired on that fateful day Colonel Francis Adekunle Fajuyi was killed alongside Aguiyi Ironsi by T.Y Danjuma and his Northern coupists.
Fajuyi was killed because of his role in the January 1966 coup.

That Fajuyi wanted to be killed while defending Ironsi was merely a deceit and foolery which can only be found in certain section of Nigeria. Fajuyi was even a principal target for the July 29, 1966 coup plotters.

Every tribe in Nigeria will have much to gain from independence. Nigeria is a prison of tribes, which will have nothing to lose but exploitation, neglect, corruption, and oppression from the central government, and everything to gain in the breakup of Nigeria. There should be an independent country for each tribe that wants to be a sovereign entity: Igboland, Ijawland, Edoland, Yorubaland, Hausastan, Kanuristan, etc. We at Ghana will support each and every part of Nigeria that wants to break free!

have u ever been in a gun battle before I guess not? You called yoruba cowards because thet did not support ibos in their. Go back to History and know why Yoruba will never fight for the Ibos in the Birafra war. The best Birafra best Soldier was a Yoruba in person of Col Banjo, he led the Birafra Army to pursue the the Nigerian Army from Enugu to Ore in Ondo state, then he stop because he can't attack yoruba land that is why Ojukwu tried him for felony n was executed for not following orders. We yorubas don't just jump n fight we look @ the odds n the odds favour the North n we support them, secondary, the first coup which was led by ibos soldiers was the beginging of the blood bath, that made the north to retalate n kill ibos soldiers n ibo people. So don't blame the Yorubas but blame the coup plotters of Janary 1966 for striking the first blow which the north retalated in a forceful n brute manner.

have u ever been in a gun battle before I guess not? There is difference btw stupidity n bravely.
