Awolowo is known for his major role in saving the federation in
the Civil War and for his dynamic and
welfarist leadership. In particular, he
pioneered Nigeria's free primary
education and free health care
programmes and implemented the first
minimum-wage policy by a Nigerian
government at any level; he also
established the first television service in
Africa and the first Nigerian university
(The University of Ibadan) whose creation
was not even recommended by the
Federal Government of the day. He is recognized internationally and respected by Ghana's patriot Kwame! What can Ojukwu say he did except bring death, destruction and a chaos that still exist in some misguided youth today? I drop my pen

if both of u have any sense, even if its as small as mustard seed u should knw dat it takes a special courage 4 someone to took his own life hence he is not a coward. when a certain person act of cowardness cost over 3million life 4rm a certain tribe was his own life more important than dat of 3million dat he made vunerable to death?

Yorubas do not have a history of cowardice. Yoruba built an empire that fought wars- won lots of wars and lost some. Yoruba has been in opposition since 1960, this is the first time in our history that we will align with federal government. Most activist in Nigeria have been Yorubas, the likes of Gani, wole soyinka, Yorubas have been in fore front of fighting injustice- NADECO during abacha, and tunde bakare and wole soyinka during yaradua-Jonathan issue. These are not acts of cowardice to me. Some of the bravest soldiers during civil war were Yorubas.

If Ojukwu had done an " Hitler ", he would have earned my respect. A brave soldier would rather take his own life when all is lost, rather than flee to Abidjan dressed as a woman. grin

Can't u guys just grow up than being a tribalist.
I judge both regions by the result of our music and movie industry.
Even in yoruba movie, we see igbo and yoruba working Hand in hand.

Southern nigeria will be great if only both regions come together

yoruba hadn't lost any war or territorial boundry to any tribe unlike ibo.

1) yoruba extend the kingdom to ibo land, which is benin and instal oba kingdom their.

2) yoruba also took part of ibo land in warri and instal olu of warri kingdom their.

3) oyo meisi also anex the kingdom to benin republic i.e cotonu.

4) any reasonable human will know that, the geographicaly and topographical nature of kogi, kwara, igala are part of anex and expanson of yoruba taken over north land.

5)during the civil war yoruba delt with ibo and concer them at ore, when ojuiku ikeeba was making attemt to stole lagos.
Colonel oyilade was the army comander by then.

6) yorubas also extend the kigdom to rivers stateand instal oba egbema kigdom.

From my history you can see that ibos are loser, failure and coward.
