Please, can you be pregnant and medical test could not confirm ? And what might cause d delay in menstrual period ? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 12:16am On Oct 05, 2015 |
hoodmenconcepts: What kind of medical test? Blood or urine pregnancy test. It depends on how "soon" you took the test right after missed period. If you want to ensure most accuracy, get serum/blood pregnancy test. Delay in period or missed period. The number of reasons vary widely from stress, physiological hormonal imbalance, conception (if absence). |

Good day Doctors, permit me as this might be a lengthy post. I have treated malaria & typhiod based on doctorz recommendation though, i completed my dosage on Saturday. However, i still have been running a bit of temperature or will i say fever. I decided to go to a general hospital as some one advised. On checking my blood pressure it was an alarming 170/90 . Anyways the doctor was shockec considering my age which is 27years male. She wrote out a list of drugs and asked to carry out some test. Chemical pathology test, ECG and xray. When i got to the pharmacy they where equallu shocked and asked me a series of questions. Most funny of all was if i just got jilted.lol. Moving on i confessed that i was indeed under a lot of stress from school and rounding off my masters programmes before this year runs out. They had to go and meet the doctor and explained, i was give only modeuritic and anoda drug to reduce anxiety when i want to sleep. My question now is that why do i keep having this high temperature/ fever. I definately need a break and first thing tommorow i'm applying for my leave which has been long overdue , if they fail to grant me. Then i guess i quit |

You may be still running fever because of incomplete eradication. By fever you mean? What is the number? Floyd45: |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Floyd45(m): 2:30pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
Xiadnat: Thank you for your response. I did not get the part of the "By fever you mean? What is the number?" I have applied for some days off work today. Do you suggest i take on antibiotics? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:33pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
Floyd45: No. I mean what is the number that your thermometer is registering that would suggest fever? You could get retested for malaria parasites. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Floyd45(m): 2:39pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
Xiadnat: Oh ok! I made no use of any thermometer, thank you once again . I think i'll just rest it out and take a retest like you suggested. |

Principe:Hm. I need more info. Is you cousin completely normal and healthy apart from this unfortunate incident? It could be just trauma from the event or perhaps he may have been given illicit substances. If he is in the medical care, then no worries, I am sure he will be taken care of. They probably need to do urine and blood toxicology and a brain imaging as well as chemistries. In any case, let the professionals do their job. |

fatme: Recurrent boils could be just recurrent boils, but could also be a sign of diabetes or a low immune system. You need to go and tell the full story to a health professional and have blood tests to check your blood sugar and full blood count (to check your infection fighting cells). No, it's not normal for men to have food come back up after swallowing. Presumably this is a recurrent problem too? Could be as simple as indigestion, could be as serious as a growth blocking the food pipe so disturbing the easy passage of food down to the stomach. Again, a visit to your local doctor is called for to get the full story and examine the good gentleman. |

Hi doc Balogun Please advice me. I am a 41 years old lady. I noticed a little pain in my right knee and by the next day it was swollen a bit, two days later it had increased insize and became very painful and stiff. I went to see a bone specialist and fluid was extracted from my knee which reduced the pain drastically. My worry now is the fact that I have had to extract water from the knee again and I might have to do it again for the 3rd time. Drugs were prescribed and I have been taking my med judiciously, water still gathers making my leg painful. Should I be worried? Can this situation become worse?? |
