Lagos is an island so what did u expect? grin. Too bad though

What the hell does that mean? so, because lagos is an island, the streets should be flooded after every rainfall. Really?

Lack of proper planning, most areas in Lagos are below the sea level, was in Sokoto about 3years ago despite been in a semi desert region the drainage system are better compare to that of Lagos. The highbrow areas ain't exempted, some part of Ikoyi & Lekki have shitty drainages which result to flooding of the road after heavy downpour.

You must be trying hard to compliment Lagos. The city has NO drainage system

See how residents of Awolowo road, Ikeja, Lagos struggled to get to their destinations following a heavy downpour which rained across most parts of Lagos state yesterday.

Both those on foot and cars were affected by the downpour. Is Ambode really working?

What has this down pour got to do with Ambode

This occurs virtually everywhere in in the world now.
You should google on South Carolina, USA. See what happened there.

Flood is no respecter of anywhere or country,so long the populace continue to block the drainages and refuse to clear them up.

When there is no proper drainage system, what's what should be expected. Naija got a long way to go. And the leaders are not helping matters at all. Instead of them working,is either they are traveling, parting or laughing themselves out. Hmmmmmm. What a nation!
they are doing what the people want. if they don't ppl will say they are stingy

You people should talk with your senses on. Are you waiting for the governor to come and clear the gutters on your streets. What can you do to help? Let all of us start doing the right thing and everything will be right.
We all know that raining season comes with flash flood, even in advance country they suffer it.
Be prepared.

No, this is mediocre thinking. This is the failure of government to provide sorely, not desperately needed infrastructure. It's one of the minimums- roads with good drainage system.Sadly, however, they behave so irresponsibly that we even overrate them.We say,'Fashola try o!...'.This is celebrating mediocrity, One of its costs is what you're seeing.
