Ioannes:Look here small boy, you don't know how bad people operate, obviously, you don't know how evil men does their thing. Evil men are carried by somuch greed, hatred and wickedness that they always seems to forget tomorrow or even thinking of the consequences. The truth of the matter is that Buhari and the APC supported Boko haram massively and even encourage them both financially and otherwise just to get to GEJ forgeting entirely of 2day, and now that BH ve gain much strength, they now see it as a fight for Allah and not for anybody any longer. I knw you will said BH ve been there b4 GEJ, yes it has been, but they are calm not until Buhari decieved them that the infidel president GEJ hate Islam, that they should come up strongly to seek for a state of Islam. I think you should get this Ghanian novel " before she dies" to read, you will understand that terrorism is founded by evil politician to destabalise the government of the day. But am assuring you, nothing is hidden under the sun, one day you will know the truth but am afraid it might be too late for you to repent bc he who supported a murderer is a also a murderer and judgement await both. 1 Like |

Stupid article. If Buhari worked for the growth of Boko Haram, why are they still bombing and killing?. Very silly, lying article. Boko Haram started before Jonathan knew he was going to be VP. The roots are in the behaviour of evil PDP politicians. Jonathan's issue was gross incompetence in leadership and it was his slackness and not holding people to account that made it grow. Face facts and accept mistakes so that they won't be repeated. |

nice write up bro, keep it up. your opinion isn't obsolete but political somewhat. however, it should be noted that politics cannot be absolutely ruled out in humans life , most especially on societal issues such as insecurity. the present government lacks the wherewithal to overcome the Bokoharam menace. Terrorism in the modern time can't be subdued anymore with military option alone. how many rich has become victim of bokoharam? none. the political class has three interests in public affairs. first, self... secondly, self....and thirdly, self. thus, the future of this country cannot get better in the hands of politicians with little or no contributions from the masses. it is therefore my opinion that Nigeria project must be reorganized and our constitution rewritten to portray a people's oriented constitution. |

I blame the APC supporters for not knowing what is obtainable in this kinda scenario. No one can stop dis level of terrorism within 2months unless the person knows how it started,no one can single handedly stabilize the Price of Oil etc 1 Like |

Icecomrade: then came [The Northerners politicized Boko Haram, provided an enabling environment to wax strong Used them as political armour to regain power.] What do you expect when you allow cracks in the wall, every form of reptile will crawl in there! No matter how we dice it, we can't take away the place of blatant ineptitude in the handling of the BokoHaram terrorsits which unwittingly gave room for politicization by some elements within and without the government. 1 Like |

Ioannes: AfroKnight: AfroKnight: On a second thought, someone else stood firmly with boko haram, claiming that killing them was injustice to the north. This same man was a strong and vocal supporter of boko haram and that's why he faulted military clamp down on boko haram. That was the period that the NA, led by Ihejirika with the help of JTF took the fight to the insurgents. Why would a normal breathing human support boko haram? That is what I don't know. Same person was nominated by boko haram to be their mediator, was elected and called boko haram his misguided brothers. It is the same person that just a few weeks to his rule went begging boko haram for amnesty. Halted all military attack on boko haram, dismantled road blocks and released boko haram suspects. Now boko haram are way stronger than they used to be before the handover. So can we confidently base our judgement on Azazi's statement even with all these obvious facts I stated here and knowing fully well that those whom Azazi may be referring to as being the head of boko haram might have cross carpeted to the "saints" party? 4 Likes |

Thisday now copies and pastes nairaland comments as facts? I can swear I've read this article word for word as someone else's comment. Who copied the other? The journalist who published this did not even make it professional - it still looks informal in its use of grammar and lack of punctuation in some areas. I guess it means social media is now a safe and quicker option than investigative journalism in this country. 1 Like |

xtrorse: you have written an epistle and I have read it, but you still haven't answered salient questions that intelligent people are bound to ask: 1. what was Jonathan's response to his own lackadaisical attitude to boko haram when he took over office of the president even after sickly Yar'Adua had eliminated their leader. he said they were his siblings. you don't believe me? check here: http://naijagists.com/president-jonathan-boko-haram-are-our-siblings-we-cant-send-army-to-kill-them/ and why wasn't he able to get other regional African presidents to collaborate with him, please also check this link: http://dailypost.ng/2015/07/31/cameroonian-president-blames-jonathan-for-boko-harams-audacity/ 2. U.S refused to sell arms to us, yet 2 weeks to election 2015, the Nigerian army started winning the war against boko haram, why? and how did they get those weapons they were now using? 3. while Nigerians were mourning the Abuja motor park bomb blasts, he was busy dancing in kano, you can check that link: http://www.nigerianeye.com/2014/04/nigerians-lambast-jonathan-for-singing.html 4. you said Buhari encouraged the monster, yet the monster almost killed him in a bomb blast directed at his vehicle check here: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/07/82-killed-scores-injured-buhari-escapes-death-kaduna-bomb-blast/ and unless you have proof that he staged managed his own assassination attempt please don't even go there. I could multiply this but whats the point. you aked what GEJ stood to gain from the killings?, how about decimating the number of Northerners so he could win the election; how about making the North unstable so that there wouldn't be elections there, probably because he knew he wouldn't win there, and we all know how populated the North is. all I am saying is, I am prepared to give buhari the same latitude we gave to Jonathan. we gave Jonathan 6years he did nothing, now we are giving Buhari till December, less than a year, yet you guys are screaming. |

Whoever was behind the start of boko haram had significant knowledge about the Nigerian Military intelligence and capacity(SWOT analysis). For those who don't understand,SWOT is a management accronym for strength, weakness, oppourtunity and threat. Shakau was just a magnet used to draw people in,through whatever ideology he stood for. But the resourcefulness of boko haram when it came to information, training, administration, weaponry and supprise attack attest to the fact that it is lead by sophisticated hands. I must say that the leaders in these regions have sworn an allegience of silence, not to reveal any important information. The only make indirect comments.Don't speak, don't act, just watch. When IS started in Syria little did people know that they were going to become a major force in Iraq, the whole region and the world. Those who refuese to learn from history are bound to repeat it. If every home in the north could still manage to get a campaign poster in the last election, such that there was a massive victory in the region for the APC despite the level of insurgence operation, then there is no excuse for mobilization against terrorism on the part of north. When BH started,it was seen as a strenght now it has become a weakness,it was seen as an oppourtunity now is has become threat. Some of the northern leaders believe they have places to run to when things got out of controll, which is why they are not yet serious. There is a difference between a man who has commitment to a cause and one who has an alternative cause. So far I don't see any man from the north who has commited to this cause. If any has,I stand corrected. We are still waiting for geniue leadership on the part of north. If things continues this way, then other regions in the country would have to start thinking of contigiencies. It is a hard statement, but it seems we are running out of options. Just like I stated before, those who neglect history are bound to repeat it. 3 Likes |

chuna1985: yeah, I have long suspected that a lot of people from your area are jubilating because boko haram are killing Northerners. to you, this is sweet revenge for the thrashing you got during the civil war from the "abokis". true, northerners are being killed, but guess who are the people who also go en masse to trade in the north? damn right. the insurgency is to no ones advantage and the earlier we come together to fight it instead of politicizing it like the op, the better for all of us. |

It is time the PDP supporters get over Jonathan's election loss. Without that the party cannot move forward. Elections will always be won and lost and no party will remain in power for ever. |
