The FG pays #19800 as monthly allowance across all states.A copa shud survive on that, as most broke and unemployed youths will jump on #20k a month job.

The Op was talking about state alawi..he was searching for state with highest alawi and im advising him not to bank on state alawi especially in these harsh economic environment.

Some high-paying states are owing copas over 5 batches back.eg.. Rivers.

If u chose Rivers,u are very very wrong! Rivers govt has stopped payment since 2012,batch A,if u come to Rivers Stata ur name na OYO wt ur 19,800

No northern states?
Jigawa, Kano, Katsina are okay to serve.
I served in Kano 2012/2013 and I enjoyed everything about Kano even when Boko Haram were bombing.
Jigawa has one of the best camp ground, same as Kano.
Serving in Northern States will give you avenue to save up to 15000 of you allowed due to availability of buying needed things at cheap price.

This foolish author too just finished NYSC and will be claiming he is a proud "graduate".

A graduate can be so dumb to make claims that involves figures and not back it up with data.

He lists the Highest Paying States but cannot put up the average or upper quartile pay in those states to back up his claim. He just states they are ................"that's all".

Products of a failed education system that pull out "facts" from their arsses.

Unemployable graduate. Later he would wonder why he can't get a job.

Well, 19,800 is still small to survive on except you are staying in remote areas but even at that, isn't the money supposed to increase as the cost of living increases daily.

I was in jalingo before I redeployed to cross river State(the worst mistake of my life)

taraba pay 10k? Dat was in d past not now* batch'B14 were owed 6months allawee ,batch'C14 are being owed 9months, batch'A15(4months)* just on friday,both batch'C & A were paid 5k each as july allawee*

taraba stopped paying 10k since december* enuf accomodation in d rural areas bt as for jalingo eh! Pple now pay between 30-60k. For accomodation depending on d type of apartment*few schs in jalingo also give free accomodation

Keep that your trach to yourself. I served in Taraba state. Kurmi local gvt to be precise. Taraba state pay 10k to corpers. And their 10k state allowee enters first before the federal allowan... Aside that, uur kerosine allowance is steady paid by their principals. So don't confuse people. I served their and despite my lavish spending, I still came back to lagos with 200k+ maybe because of my xtral PPA sha. Cause I taught in one private skul and they were paying me 5kmonthly too. But I spent like crace and I saved 200+. So is good if people don't consider distance. And they are very nice and caring. Free food, free fruits, Chiks for d big bois buh beware of HIV 2nd highst in naija. But ur experience there will be better.

Yes, 10k for each month. They will pay you up to ten months. Though bank charges 105naira on each allowance. The payment was delayed till march when we were paid 20k for Jan and Feb (excluding Nov 2012 Orientation camp, and Dec). We were paid 8 months before passing out on 10th Oct 2013, and the remaining two months were paid when we had returned to our respective states. One in Nov and the second one in Dec.
