What kind of management is that, within a month the corporation recorded over 31 billion naira loss .. Why not not sell it if they can not manage it..? As long as the saboteurs are kept in the system, there can't be headway...so sell it to private managers and let come and reform the place without any bias or sentiment .. |

But change is what PMB was elected to make to improve any dysfunctional government agencies. PMB was not elected for government agencies to be making complaints or showing us past and present failures like in this report. 2 Likes |

managermahmud: which party is in power, which party make spurious lies that the past govt is telling lies that nothing happen to the refineries, which party say by june ending, by mid july, by early august our refinery will be fully functioning. In as much as people will want progress for this country, but truth be told this APC govt is not ready for truth and serious government, while nt come out clean once. If you tell Nigeria true situation of things, they will be able to understand with you, but using LIES to cover LIES is a 'siting TIME-BOMB' waiting to explode at the fullness of time. Kaduna Refinery? When has it ever functioned well, talk less making profit for Nigeria? Even the Japanese company, Chiyoda, which built Kaduna refinery expressed wonderment at how money could be wasted digging tunnel of close to 800 kilometres to transport crude oil from the delta in order to have a refinery in Kaduna. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

RichDad1: Sincere9gerian: 19 Oct 2015 • FG lifted 166m barrels of crude in eight months, IOCs, NPDC, others 261.5m Ejiofor Alike Despite earlier claims of robust performance by the management of Nigeria’s three refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna, the refineries actually recorded average capacity utilisation of 10.04 per cent, according to the monthly financial and operations report of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for January to August 2015, which was obtained exclusively by THISDAY. The report corroborated the statement by the Group Managing Director of the state-run oil firm, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, in recent weeks that contrary to claims by past management shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office, the refineries were operating at sub-optimal levels. The Managing Director of the KadunaRefining and Petrochemical CompanyLimited (KPRC), Mr. Saidu Muhammed, had told THISDAY that the 110,000 barrels per day capacity plant was processing about 60,000 barrels of crude per day following the rehabilitation of two of the company’s production lines. Muhammed added that the company was on phased rehabilitation, with a target to hit 60 per cent of its local refining capacity, which is about two million litres daily. “We are doing a lot at the moment to make sure that we achieve 80 per cent of refining capacity,” he said, stressing that the production level would hit 90 per cent by the second quarter of 2016. Digging a most expensive tunnel in sub-Saharan Africa in order to have a refinery built in the north of Nigeria in Kaduna. There is no amount of waste of scarce money which northern military rulers did not do. But a metro transport system for Lagos which could have been first in sub-Saharan Africa was cancelled by northern leaders. They instead paid higher penalty fees to the contracting firm for the cancellation of the Lagos Metro system whose construction had advanced when Buhari struck with loyal troops into power. |

gurusvil:I don't think you understand. these refineries has been undergoing TAM maintenance for sometime now and the former government based on the available report and the milestones achieved informed Nigerians that the refineries will come on stream by early 2016 but immediately this present government came to power they started making bogus claims which seem to suggest that the refineries are okay but it's the past government that doesn't want it to work. 2 Likes |

ShowYourCertificate: What exactly is the point of this rants? You have just indicted the previous government in all you have said here. Buhari inherited the exact mess that Jonathan left. Some people were already praising Jonathan for the refinery refurbishment but here we are hearing that after spending more than $1bn , the refineries are not working? You are just ranting rubbish? The money that is missing has been proven . Even Akpabio a PDP Senator and ex Governor said the NNPC did not remit money for 7 months under Jonathan. Oshiomole also said so. You are either a liar and coward or both for not seeing this as a serious indictment. IF Oshiomole was part of the scam, was Akpabio also part of it? I can sense from your post that you know what is right. You also know that PDP was very bad. Why you are calling APC a scam party is because Buhari did not solve within one hour what Jonathan and his female controllers destroyed in six years. So you need some sense of reality. 1 Like |

managermahmud:bros gej said the tam will be completed by 1st quarter of 2016 and by then refineries will be working at optimum. Buhari came in told his new puppet to announce to nigerians like u that the refineries are working and they saved billions of naira from the turnaround maintenance and bla bla bla, nigerians like ur type jumped to the street rejoicing, buhari's body language is working wonders... Apc fans were crediting buhari with the wonders, mocking pdp and gej who said the truth. You know what happens with lies, it is always sweet at the begining but can never be sustain cos once u start a defence with lies, u hv to sustain it with lies. No matter how u hide the truth, oneday it will pop out. I once commented here, if the refineries are now working at optimum, how come we r still paying for subsidy? Not just paying for subsidy but paying for the same 40million litres acclaimed to be used by nigerians daily. 3 Likes |

awa:Do u agree with me that there's difference btw APC govt and President of Nigeria?? They are both separate entities but are related to each other. But meanwhile, If you put the blame on APC as a whole, it'll be unacceptable. Blaming the president also, is partially unacceptable because an expert in that field has been assigned to carry out such duties effectively. The president is not an expert in such field. However, evn USA do experience loss in other transactions not just oil, therefore, its normal. Any business that yield high profit also has high risk of maintenance. Thanx |
