Also, when you eventually resign and stop work with them, it then happens that at some point they get stuck on some processes and have no option than to call you for guidance. That's the time to "post" them like you are The Post Master General.

Any organization that does not value its staff and treats them unfairly deserves such treatment.

@forkadict: About the pay being less than 200k, it just depends on the industry. On all the other issues of training and promotion, your boss is at fault here not the company. The guy is just mean and short-sighted.

I once had a boss like that. The day I was to resign, I made sure she was away on training. But she knew I was to leave. I had told her earlier that I got an opportunity and will be away the next day to tie it up and we need to take it as though I was ill for a day or two. She blew my cover the next day and gave me query on top. My body bin pain me. My blood bin hot!

Eventually I left on a friendly note, thanked everyone and moved on. Nothing lost. Our relationship still strictly professional. Her conscience fit judge am. I don't care. In life, sh*t happens. A year later, we communicated and no one remembers the incident. Or at least we will never bring it up again.
