Most of the people asking a lot of "Repetitive Questions" just do a quick check on their past post....you will see

NO VISA story

NO POE story

NO Hospital story

NO Total Bill paid story

then they will come and ask for how to get visa for baby or passport for baby

or checkout for those that ask visa stories.
they hardly come back to post their own story
only a few exception to the rule

I mean COME-ON, be fair!!!!!

CONTRIBUTE!!!!! that's how to grow a community

my advice to the "So called Cacus" pls learn to IGNORE IGNORE and IGNORE, (waka pass) for any of these repetitive post
they will get the hint and do the needful
it's when you are kind enough to respond to point them to the right direction that they will say you are rude!

and no PMS either!!! most of the PMs i personally get, when i click on their NL name, no single post on this thread...HABA MANA!!!! pls fear God and google parasitic relationship. May God remove parasites from our midst IJN

I tell ya most are agents trying to get info. I don't even bother responding to them. That is why they say if you wanna sell an African man, put it in a book.

If you are not in Nigeria with your wife go online and print the form, fill it out and do the notary where ever you are scan a copy to your wife's email or email it directly to them. Post the original to your wife so she can take it along with her when she is ready to go to the passport office.
I did the same thing with my first baby but the only issue was that they gave her 1 year passport and told us to go to Nigeria Us Embassy to get the five year passport. Reason for all this was because the person who was to help my hubby bring the original filled form did not show up with it at the time i went to the passport office and was told to asked my hubby to send it to them via email at the time so i can get the passport to travel.
Hope i answered your question?

Thanks BBIZ,

Well done my sister, u have spoken well... I have noticed the alliance in this forum.. We that are new cannot ask a simple question without one person scolding u..

Alot of time I just resort to the Google wia I get answers without being scolded one way or the other.

Cheers

@MayMaj, I am really surprised at this comment becos I have constantly replied and given you information/directions, even when I also told you to read previous posts. And when you showed evidence that you had read, I also gave further info.. so am I in the Cacus? This is very unfair. it is well..there is GOD oh shocked

In the past, I used to complain and talk over and over on this issue. Then I went to silent mode, then I decided maybe I should reply.
Now I regret replying lipsrsealed...so I am going back to silent mode sad... on all such questions in future. Peace out all.. and kudos to the faithful respondents..

Mind you, when I came to this thread, I knew nothing, and I took my time to read becos I needed the information. If it is important to you, you will create the time.. No man gets ahead for long on short cuts.. there is always a price to pay...

My 2 cents on the above mentioned issue. If one is truly serious and passionate about anything in this life it shows in the amount of effort & commitment one puts into that venture.

I remember when DH and I were applying for our visas last year, I studied this thread like I was writing an exam for it. Trust me it has paid off, from our visas to POE and now hospital and location choice. He used to make fun of me and call me Mama Consular.

I PMd a few people for clarity on some info and to be honest, none of them ever shut me down or scolded me.

Tuly information is power, there is nothing quite like researching and finding out info for yourself, it sticks. Reading doesn't have side effects now!

This venture is to better our families and childrens' future so why not put in everything towards achieving the best for those we love?

As someone rightfully said a community can only grow where there's give and take. So please lets research and give back so our thread doesn't die a natural death.

Gbam! I dont think anyone can put it any better than this. I was told by DH too to READ READ READ thats why im very impressed by men like olokings and shawlar etc that did most if not all the researching on behalf of their wives. Theres nothing like firsthand knowledge. For something you want? Na real haba mana! As favoredgal said. Lol

So after the extra smooth POE experience, the temporary season of hunger games and eventual house swap, my lil one arrived early hours of this morning at wyckoff heights! Its a girl! ( thank God, didnt want any bruce/caitlyn jenner things after buying too much pink!) and it was through a VBAC too. God is indeed very faithful. I thank Him cos it has ended in praise!

Congratulations dear... God bless our wife. She's prettier than her mom lol.

In the event that someone is asking questions that has been asked before, kindly ignore...When the person has asked like five times and no-one is answering, he/she will be forced to go back and read...It's simple as ABC.. No need to complicate life/thread by responding with five lines of zero info..

@mamacajah, I do not think that person was referring to you...Cos the way you usually respond, sometimes I wonder if nairaland is paying you...You always tell them politely to go back and read but you will still answer them anyways..

hi people,
just realised i won't be able to carry more than 3K $ for my trip. People on this thread usually carry huge amounts (7-15K$)
do you think it's risky to have so little in cash and tell them that i have the rest on my cards (& don't like travelling with too much cash )
could they turn me back because of that ? undecided

Phema:

Some people have traveled with such amount (or even less) and were successful, some others were not as lucky. I wouldn't risk it if i were you.

A lady here was sent back because she had $4,000 and had made part payment for the hospital fees. Another was detained until they were able to confirm her account balance from her Naija bank which was the next day. Some officers are overzealous. Better not to give them reasons to act it out.

If you insist though, choose you POE wisely.

@shanaka29 : Please, be very aware that effective 20/10/2015 all Foreign POS transactions on GTBANK cards are now restricted to $300/day. So, if you have a gtbank card and are planning to use same in the states better plan well.

So when someone comes to ask a question and it's ignored how will u get ur answer? Even when u r asked to read... We still answer u.

And the "grateful" people that were asked to go back and read came back to share their experiences

So telling someone to go and read other pages for ur own good is now rude?

The thread is for no one... I can choose to ignore and also choose to reply whom ever I want.

And then when u come and u Ask a question and u r ignored and other "cacus" go about their normal gistin and all you'll also call it rude or say u r being ignored.

So inadvertently u want "older women" (in ur own words) to come and retype their experiences and do research on ur behalf?

What happens when we get our information and leave the thread... Who'll b here to even tell u to go back and read other pages. Those of u ranting how many times have u come out of ur "busy schedule" to assist people with questions.

If u are not going to answer someone's question or even ask the person to read the thread I see no basis for ur rants... So uncalled for.

Let me share with you guys. She'll kill me but I want u guys to benefit. She's on this thread.

I met this wonderful woman during clinic one day in Nigeria. She figured me out by adding my profession and the first letter of my name... Lol. So we gisted that day and that was it.

Lemme summarize
Her poe was successful. But her host all of a sudden said she doesn't want her to stay there anymore. Like after like a day or 2 of her in d house o. She told her host that she doesn't have anywhere to go and she's new in the US and all.. Her host husband insisted she must leave and that day for that matter.. She was not even given a chance to look for an alternative or given a day notice or something... Na so she pack her load o... Her other option was Houston... As per affordable accommodation plus affordable Hospital. She contacted me and na so I begin disturb my host to find a way.. But God almighty wiped her tears... I made friends with some one here, her apartment is just d next block from mine.. She stays in a one bedroom but I spoke to her and explained things and as God will have it she agreed... Guess what She gave her d room while she sleeps on d couch.... It excites me Everytime cos aside God providing her with a perfect accommodation... I have a gisting and clinic partner lol.

Her less than 2days in that her host was horrifying... With different rules... Awkwardness.. Lack of freedom and serious meanness. They haven't even called her till now to know how she's doing.

Before u come here be sure of ur host... And ensure u have an alternative. God bless my host... He takes us to clinic and waits till we r done.
