Regarding culture, we should establish a yearly regional festival for Arts & Culture
Computer softwares exclusively for the Yoruba language and culture should be developed. Osun state's opon imo imo is laudable
The return of the Yoruba classics e.g. D.O. Fagunwa, J.F. Odunjo, Adebayo Faleti, Jeje, Akinwunmi Ishola - to mention just a few

We need to advertise Yoruba Day in the SW as it is done internationally.

Apple does a good job of inserting Yoruba language in its iphone settings. The main fxns of my phone is in Yoruba. I am in the works of putting together a full-length proposal on Why Apple should add Yorubas to its supplementary fxns too. It is one of the most spoken/taught languages in the world.

I like these initiative... It's really burgeoning my desire for regionalism ideas in my head.... But I'm not going to be allowed in case of plagiarism cos nairaland is now a marketplace for the legendary pirate's in our midst... U guys re really doing a good job.... What we Yorubas need is the satirical spree to awaken our useless vision less leaders in all spheres of administrative affairs to enliven nd make our region an admirable and a sustaining 1....u need to see d rot of our politicians.... It's too damning.... I am of the believe that in a lawful society coupled with a strong government backup for human related developments... We Yorubas can easily dominate any field... we have expertise, experience and qualitative ideas to create leverage.. What's needed are visionaries, reasonable support, ambitious desire to develop local content, smes and the re orientation of our youths to believe in themselves cos most of them believe in a job not existing.... Take a skill with pride and look for support to upgrade your skill... The problems of we Yorubas re multi faceted but we can get it all right wth ourselves coming together for a common unselfish good...

Yoruba Keyboard Language Pack Is Now Available For Mac And Windows Users

Now this is handy.

The geniuses at Yorubaname.com have come up with a nifty little language tweak for Mac and Windows users. Users can now include tone marks and subdots in their names and sentences by installing a Yoruba keyboard language pack.

There are other solutions out there, especially on Windows, that make writing in yorùbá (see that?) a possibility but the team claim their language pack offers both layouts with very similar key combinations for consistency.

If you remember, this is the same team that brought us Twitter in yoruba. Or at least were partly responsible. Seems they have no intention of slowing down.

You can download the installation pack on their website

1. Stop buying their businesses

2. Stop giving them jobs in Yorubaland

3. Dwindle their interference in your politics

We are talking how to develop sw and you are saying thus...this is one reason I laugh ...maybe you should stop patronising dstv ,don't buy Toyota then don't use Nestlé and cadbury products maybe don't even patronise any non Yoruba product and then tell all the Yoruba in coscharis, shell, chevron zenith bank diamond bank and many other places to resign forth with

The way you peeps reason is so funny and thats the reason sw are been left behind

Take a look around ...instead of encouraging your people to go into SME and build small industries and focus on developing their individual states this is what you can say

Hate and tribalism kills and ithinj you should learn to compete

True! were it not for the kind of environment i was raised, I probably would have been speaking Yorubinglish grin grin cheesy like most Yorubas in lagos do.Yoruba language is not the only language affected though, its a global thing. Majority of the world languages are being threatened by english language.I was watching that whitey Titi girl who came to naija to learn Yoruba and she complained about the prevalent code-switching
