[quote author=Phema post=39347208] Ok. Let's talk about this. Does NL increase the influx of patients to some hospitals? Yes! Is it the sole reason these hospitals get overwhelmed and stop taking international patients? No! I personally met atleast 3 Naija mamas in MIHS who didn't know anything about NL. Naija mamas in MIHS cannot even be compared to the number of Mexicans and Philipinos in same place. Before vivianobas revealed MIHS, it was well known to other nationals and they even had to jack up their fees from $1,500 to $2,888. Yea, you heard right, 1k5! If vivianobas did not share info about MIHS here, we would not had known and you won't be here talking about missing that package. If she had said "I've info about a cheap hospital in Phoenix, PM for details". We (including agents gan) would have PMed her, gotten info and still bombarded the place. Then again, if NL was the sole reason for these hospitals to stop taking international patients, Doctoresparati will be the first to stop. That was the very first well known hospital on this thread and the number of Naija mamas that have gone there is nothing close to the ones that have gone to other 'closed' hospitals. And they are even still here advertising. And heck, even if NL increases these hospitals' patient influx somuch that they stop taking, no biggie. Soldier go, soldier come. Mamas here will make research and new hospitals will be found and shared here. Ok. Let's even say we stop mentioning names, what will we achieve in the long run? These well known Doctors that people get info through PM will still be bombarded. And when they stop taking patients, where does that leave us? Remember there are no new Dr's contacts shared here anymore. We will now have to resort to agents to pay huge amount for an info we could have joined hands together to get. Then why do we have this thread? It's supposed to be about "Cost and procedure for birthing in the States". The risk of not sharing info here openly greatly outweighs that of sharing. Don't worry, we all will begin to see that in no distant time. And if you think the Mods/admin are doing this for our benefit, think again. They just want to make money through ads. Even JW knows this (as he has always been an anti-agent/PM mod), but it does seem like his hands are tied and I understand his Hmmmm our benefit ke? Una no see say Linda Ikeji just buy mansion?Seun and his no 1 moderator JW must follow suit Na....Agents biko!u guys should come out enmass and advertise...i just checked d cost only 8k or thereabout weekly..in naira ooo...pls, so that the ministry can move to the permanent site. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The whole thing just tire me. Admin just remove the cost from the topic of this thread so that everyone can rest. I just pity new mamas, bottom line is do your research yourself and get a good deal to avoid long talk. Me don get 2, a boy and a girl and the hospital I used I didn't get the info here. I just peep to find good airline deals or another awuf like Delta 90k flight. @JW, this is the only topic that brings me to NL if there is no useful info then no need oh. I no say I be one person but they say little drops.... 3 Likes |

I seconded. Meanwhile, I move the motion that the topic of this thread be changed since it will amount to gross misrepresentation if cost cannot be mentioned in a thread which its heading clearly reads COST and procedure. A more appropriate/ correct heading should actually be considered 6 Likes |

Not everyone that knows how to pm here,I myself dont know how to pm. U are correct, But remember that those old information might not be good for them. because of the city or state they intend to give birth to their LO. Everyone intended birthing city or states are different and every city or states with its own information about good birthing prices & good doctors prices as well. So i dont see it as a problem to give a good information about a doctor or Hospital that can benefit the people that might need them. Remember that information is powerful and without new information i dont think this thread will move forward. nefertitiram: 2 Likes |

Since after deleting d post, I wasn't keen on coming to check d latest (maybe someone got a gud deal) cos dia is no point doing dat.. I have booked my ticket already so am so in need of hospital deals but I guess now it's not useful coming here cos any post with doctors and prices wount be allowed anymore... On the matter of checking part one of this thread, I guess most of d prices in that thread would have changed hence no nid to check... I rest my case. 7 Likes |
