you have a clear vision. Even Enugu. Though Enugu can still be over looked, but for Ebonyi state, the statistics is simply error filled. The revenue for Lagos shows that states without oil but a thriving business environment, a well managed internal generated revenue mechanism and efficient and honest work force could surpass those with deposits of mineral resources in terms of revenue generation.

Well sorry to burst the bubble of haters but Lagos state is in the SW and the scale of revenue generation was done by Yoruba administrators. At the time the Federal Government left if 1991 Lagos was impoverished.In 1999 Lagos was generating 600 million a year and then Tinubu came in. and changed things around. To al large extent Lagos has been transformed since 1999 and is a more progressive state.

The real questions must be asked of states like Delta,River,Akwa Ibom and Rivers .They could have done a lot better considering al the money that has passed through those states since 1999. Those states alone could have funded a National carrier.Ultimately the ability to generate revenue is a reflection of employment and when some states have no jobs their people migrate and develop other places. What I find puzzling and encouraging is the performance of Kwara and Ebonyi ,those two for me are the shining stars

Seaport Tax? What is that? Is there a factory in Nnewi that makes illiterates?
In 1999 before Tinubu Laagos IGR was was 600 million. Presumably the seaport was there then. The truth of the matter is the Eboe imports are more of a nuisance than a boon. We don't want them in Lagos.
Lagos generates so much because of Tinubu's vision and blockage of leakages which Fashola built on.
Eboes are a truly bitter people. The real question is why their own government does not generate as expected in Abia and Anambra. What I will say to thinking men when interpreting these figures is this.The figures can mean one of several scenarios e.g a state may generate double what it declares and the politicians steal more than half and declare less or that they genuinely are not generating.I am not saying that is happening anywhere but in Nigeria it is more than likely even in Lagos.
Leaving that to one side why is generation so low in Anambra and Abia compared to what one would expect as we all know that Onitsha market is the Largest in the Milky way selling thousands of drones yearly to the US Army
