These are newspaper concocted report that does not reflect to reality. You guys should stop making noise here. At the end of the day most Nigerians will still troop to these major and frontline states to live and earn a living: Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Delta etc

You see! That's the Igbo spirit. Always aiming for the best. No resting on laurels.
Our drive for success is insatiable, and that's exactly what drives our detractors who can't keep up with us mad.

Ebonyi is already ahead of Anambra in the GDP race, yet this Ebonyian is not satisfied. He wants more, and rightly so.
My brother 11B is nothing compared to the kind of economic activities going on in my State. If things are done the way it should be, Ebonyi suppose to be making 30B alone from mining talk more of other untapped sources of revenues.

Economic power without political power is like building castles in the air.

One political anti Igbo policy by those who control the power,with tacit support of the envious rest of the country, and we are back to square one.

Look at what happened to Savannah bank, look at the ordeal Ibeto suffered at the hands of OBJ and his gang.

Ibeto and Innoson had recently grown in reaps and bounds, under GEJ neutral economic policies, but how long is that going to last.

But check it now, despite all the anti igbo policies, the £20 policy, abandoned property policy, the policy of no international airport, the policy of abandoned river niger dredging, the policy of no deep sea port and other scorched earth policies aimed at a specific region of the country yet that region manages to still excell above the same regions that formulated these policies .

There is an extent political power can be used against a highly determined and motivated people, it seems to me that the more igbos are marginalised, the more determined they become.

SE total GDP = 61.1Billion
SW - Lagos total GDP= 57.3Billion
NW= 51.4Billion
NE= 24.4Billion
NC= 45.1Billion

Can anybody get me a link to Nigeria revenue allocation to states in 2014.

Lets find out who the real parasites are. Those who take more than they contribute. grin

Btw, Imo is lagging behind in SE, it's high time imolites do the needful and send Rochas parking from that state.

Its IGR not GDP they mean completely different things.

This is the typical Nigerian mentality and that's why we are not moving Foward. Remove the monthly peanut we get from FG and watch state owned factories spring up everywhere. That no state owned factory is working does not mean it's not feasible, it's because our brain and mindset has been programmed to be very lazy through the allocation of free oil money from FG every month.

He is wrong but correct in a way.
IGR is an even better measure of productivity than GDP.
The states with the bigger GDP should naturally have the bigger IGR. They are mutually inclusive.

Actually, even though I hardly accept stats coming from Nigeria, but this particular one is in agreement with realities on group.

A group of people who has always been ahead, will always be ahead,as long as its ingrained in their tradition.

I don't actually believe this report and it's doesn't matter whether southeast is ahead of southwest. I go by what is on ground and living standards. And should we factor these elements then Anambra is miles ahead of everybody in all development indices. ffuck that garbage of a report.

Ever since imo state joined that party, the state has diminished in all standards to the extent of living off handouts and bailouts.

Another very disappointing statistics is that apart from lagos which by the way is living on former federal capital might, most APC states are over Glorified when compared to how much they take from the centre .

APC states are a drain pipe to national treasury

The whole Lagos covers the whole SE.

What happened to Onitsha, the "largest" commerce location in Nigeria?

Or Port Harcourt?

How can a whole Lagos generate more than the oil region?
