Please gurus in the house, how do I pay fees into ottawa University. Do I pay both my tuition and accommodation into the account where tuition will be paid or I should just send tuition. Please @Khalesi and other gurus help me out. |

daronscopy:sure prospective senior. Did you also apply for Alberta's MINT? PS. Madam Shelley must be sick of my mails by now. I don't want to start approaching my sponsor right now... but about the suggestion you gave earlier, what's that what you did too? 1 Like |

Hi friends and Admins, I want to express my unreserved gratitude to you guys for helping douse the tension I experienced sometime last week. Thankfully to God, I got my approval update today. Although my MSc/PhD research program started since 8th of September, I'm glad the wait has ended. Date of submitted application: 5th August Upfront medicals: 6th August Medical update: 21st October Request for passport: 21st October(same day) Approval update: 27th October. Support document: My scholarship letter which is fully funded, well articulated SOP, appointment letter, pay slips, letter stating I'm on study leave and my account statement(which I think wasn't so necessary though). While I continued to wait with time elapsing, my supervisor had to write to them confirming my position was still available so as to avoid refusal due to late resumption. So I advise you explore every means in prayers and action to make this work. I suggested this to my supervisor. Also, I realized that although I did upfront medicals, I was requested to send by mail to the Accra immigration office a copy of the upfront medicals I claimed I did. This happened cos I didn't attach it before submitting. So avoid stuffs as such to obviate delays. Thanks everyone and I hope God answers our heartfelt prayers. More testimonies in Jesus name. **packing my load to University of Toronto** 12 Likes |

Bamz: No I didn't apply to Alberta. And for the letter of sponsorship that's what i did, you can write that yourself without contacting your sponsor, its just to show that he willing and is capable of paying your fees. |

Kudos to the gurus.. Please I need your opinion on this.. A professor has already given me a green light to work with him at uVic.. I have sent countless(close to 50) email to profs across Canada to inquire if they will be accepting graduate students for Fall2016, with a well constructed-comprehensive details BUT all I hear from them is " Your background at xxxx sounds good but I have no fundings".. Lemme cut it short. This Prof at uVic said, she's will be accepting , that I should send my CV/Resume and Transcript to her . *My question, I have my transcript already evaluated by WES 3.19/4.0 but I wanna ask if I should send this OR I should send the one from school 3.54/5.0(though it looks kinda low than the WES)...Abeg make una just help me on what to do.. I don't wanna lose this small chance I've gotten... 2 Likes |

daronscopy: I've not seen any good ratings about MINT except that Alberta has has good reputation and all that. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by metrecube(m): 11:25pm On Oct 27, 2015 |
Jlakeside:Congrats on getting a supervisor. You can send Wes evaluated transcript to her since its not for admission processing for now. Graduate School would still request for ur transcript later. If she later ask you to send school official copy u can now send it. Cheers. 3 Likes |

ikem01:Confirm from account section of your school. If its not specified on the school website, you can send mail to your program advisor. I'm not sure its normal to pay feeding expenses with tuition fees. Cheers. |

Hello nairalanders Is it necessary for me to pay part tuition before submitting my app? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by WESTERNCR: 6:39am On Oct 28, 2015 |
Cousins app was delayed after medical passed cos he had previous refusals at US embassy and he failed to indicate it on his im1294 while other reasons were added like travel history, length of stay, purpose of visit, personal asset n financial status. Pls what could be done at this point? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by thesoj: 7:11am On Oct 28, 2015 |
That's a bummer. Sorry to hear. Yeah Canada and USA automatically share visa applicant information (it has been repeatedly discussed on the thread) so not disclosing a refusal from the other embassy can result in a swift refusal. As per the additional reasons, was this your cousin's first Canada study TRV application? Either way, share his/her profile, i.e. UG or PG, course & program he/she is going for in Canada, what he/she has been doing in Naija since his/her last education qualification/degree. Also, did he/she submit an SOP? The next best thing is to evaluate why this application failed and then reapply at a future date after having fixed all the loop holes. WESTERNCR: |

Grateful2015: Part payment is not necessary. We have countless number of people here that got trv without paying tuition fee. But if you want to pay before applying for TRV, Its okay u can go ahead. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by thesoj: 8:22am On Oct 28, 2015 |
Part payment is indeed not necessary. However I briefly skimmed through your posting history and it shows your previous app was denied for insufficient funds. In this case, it would likely help your subsequent application if you pay at least a portion of your tuition; but this is not mandatory so long as all your financial documents are on point and show sufficient funds. Also, it appears that in your previous application one of the bank statements you submitted had a negative balance, please don't do this again in your subsequent application... that was a really bad move. All the best on your next app. Grateful2015: 3 Likes 1 Share |

To anyone who sent me their SOP in the past week to review/edit, I apologize for not having gotten it reviewed. I've been expending all my mental energy at work and have not had enough mental energy and focus outside work to carefully review your essay. Please send me a reminder email and I will plan to respond as soon as possible. Thx. 3 Likes |

@thesoj and others, if my tuition is $14k,how much am I suppose to have as the minimum fund in my bank statement for a self sponsoring student like me? Is it $24k? I'm also married with a kid and I won't be applying for SOWP together with my application (plan to do that after I might have gotten mine), am I to provide evidence of sustenance of the family I'm leaving behind during my own application? |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Joe980: 9:12am On Oct 28, 2015 |
ikem01:Tuition fee only... ikem01:Tuition could be made via Form A. Come with cash(less than 10k) for accommodation and feeding etc...you can deposit at the bank once on ground. 1 Like 1 Share |
