What does BLUE smoke from my exhaust mean?

If your car is blowing blue smoke, it’s a clear sign that the engine is burning oil. What happens is that the valve guide seals or piston rings are worn out, and oil is leaking past from where it should be lubricating the moving parts, to the combustion chamber where it’s being burned up with the fuel.

If you’re seeing this kind of smoke, check your oil regularly and watch for consumption issues. While an issue that normally should require immediate attention and expensive repairs, including some internal replacement parts, if your vehicle is old and the leak is minimal, it can be carefully managed by topping up the oil on a regular basis.

Along with environmental damage, burning oil can cause rough starts, as the process can ruin the car’s spark plugs.

I changed my engine. A 98 Elantra (Avante) last month end. Now the Rev pic is erratic. Sometimes it goes up like it is revving itself, sometimes it stays normal. This causes some lurching movements at times.
Please what could be the cause
Nb: when I finished with the change and complained to the mechanic about the gear taking some time to enter reverse directly (unless I put it to drive first) he said it should not bother me. That I should take it to the express and the wahala will stop over time. the gear wahala stopped. And the uneven movement evened out too until last week when my alternator stopped working, and when I changed it, the engine will be going high at will, and there was this movement like the thing is changing gears on its own will while driving sometimes
Please your advice will be very welcome.

You need to run a scan on your power train. A lot of factors can cause that. Ranging from weak fuel pump, bad cam sensors, bad speed reference sensors and many more. A scan is a step in the right direction. If you are in lagos and you need solution. Call 08156087872 or 08165520837

Typical Nissan issue,Faulty crank or cam sensor .

hmmm, tech world, electronics? I never knew there isn't power steering pump in that car, I have its twin sister Pontiac Vibe 2010. Thanks for enlightening me, pros in the house help out ooo, how do one fix this kind of issue?

Don't drive that car until its fixed.... Its a known defect in EPS for corolla and matrix.

You'll need to drop your tyre pressures a bit and see the reaction, of it still gives hard feel, a new EPS steering and ECU is what you need.

Great car, reliable, and luxurious until traveled for about two years and upon returning i lost the keys and since it been a disaster getting the car to start. I have had d key guy come n made a new key but nothing and thenhe said the doesn't use immobilizer or transponder so he cut a normal key n the engine doesn't cranck it rolls but doesn't start i have change the fuel pump n other components but still nothing. Pls why does my car vibrate wen ever i want to move it on gear one? And it only happens on gear one. Its a 1998 camry manual tranny..

My Golf mk3 auto TCU has fried three times withing 2 weeks of usage and whenever that happens it will show fault code solenoid valve.
I only drive it with gear 1 and 2 as manual.
what is frying my TCU coz I believe my gear box is still OK.

A frnd car hesitate a little when the gear is on reverse. Toyota camry 03 but moves well on other gear.

No check side on the dash.

Any advice with what is wrong.

I told him it could be plugs, plugs wire.

We brought out the plugs but is not soaked..

A physical inspection needs to be carried out so as to know the failed part, I would not rule out the idea of running a scan on your power train. Call 08156087872 or 08165520837 if you need to solve the problem. Bbpin is 7BE1C522

If your D4 light is blinking, your car is passing an information over to you that there is a danger on your transmission. You can run a scan. Sometimes this can be attributed to using the wrong transmission fluid
Note: Abro transmission fluid ia a destroyer

If you can but might require a professional hands. Just check where you TCU os located and check for a loosed ground
