The fixtures were already set before the season began before anyone knew if the CL fixtures would be on Tuesday or wednesday

Bayern travelled to Wolfsburg on Tueday and travelled to Franfurt for a friday fixture

Our sporting director complained that the DFB should move the fixture to Saturday to enable us recover but the DFB declined

Despite this explanation I am sure you would come up with something silly again

I remember when Spurs played a Europa cup game on Thursday night in Spain and the English FA made Spurs play Man Utd 12noon on Saturday
