Today, I Prayed For The President; I Prayed For Nigeria. Come In If You Wish To. by MizMyColi(f): 6:27am On Nov 01, 2015
Good Morning Everyone

I had finished my workout sessions and decided to try out the new earpiece my little Sis "dashed" me, and a Christian song by Frank Edwards was in play.
I thought to seize the opportunity to pray for my loved one who was going through tumultuous times, and before I knew it, I started praying passionately for Nigeria. I prayed for the president! I was in tears.
Those who know my political antecedents here would understand that I am more an anti-Buharist and even more anti-APC....

But this morning, none of that mattered. I was led by something higher to drop all forms of bitterness, and complaining, and reservations; for the love of dear country, for the love of humanity.

Muslims, Christians, Budhists, Atheists, Igbo, Yoruba, PDP, APC, Partyless Opposition, SS, Northerner....No matter who and what you are. Today, I enjoin us‎ to take a little time from our busy schedule and say a word of prayer for our Nigeria and for the leadership of this country. Today, it dawned on me, that it doesn't matter what has been done or undone, every day presents a chance to chart a new course in our history, in our lives.

Let today, the 1st day of November, 2015 start a movement of healing that would sweeps across the fabric of this nation.

Let every structure of negativity and bitterness and unforgiveness that so seeks to continually divide us‎ be pulled down.

Today, irrespective of our religious, political and tribal affiliation, we declare that it is well with Nigeria.
We declare that it is well with our president and every arm of leadership of this nation.

Our Divine Creator will save, Our Divine Creator will deliver.

God bless us all.‎
Amen.

This thread is meant for corporate prayers, best wishes and thoughts.

Let positivity, and light guide us as we make pronouncements concerning Nigeria and her people.

Even if you're a Biafran or Odua republic apologist, for now, we are still a nation...

Do take time out to wish everyone and everything around you well.
It'll go a long way.

Finally, I wish everyone, I mean EVERYONE reading this a HAPPY NEW MONTH and Better Days Ahead.

I thank you all in anticipation of your co-operation.

Nice one. But I still don't expect anything tangible from a government headed by a dullardist. Happy new month.

Nigeria does not need prayers. We have had enough if that and more than enough of that.

What we need is a nation of people who are willing to be selfless and put the interest of the country before other things.

What we need are people who just look beyond their cubicle to see into the future and are willing to sacrifice their own present.

What we need are people who will respect the law and are willing to be patient and strong.

What we need are people who will not sacrifice national values on the altar of religion and tribal insanity

What we need are humans with human feeling.

We have prayed enough, now it is time to get off our backsides and get to work

My dear, let's do something differently today. Try modifying your comment to reflect something positive.
Let today be for positivity and projecting hope for a better future.

We can continue with our complains and wailings tomorrow, it's allowedgrin

I don't know if this qualifies for a testimony, but I'll share with you.

Mom just got a new shop apartment in a place where it was rumored that people hardly make sales.
She had earlier booked me for Saturday to help her with sales of items we recently imported.
When we set up shop and peeps weren't tropping in like I expected...
I was tempted to complain about the economy and how things were taking a negative turn under Buhari.
But something kept me from doing so.
Instead, I decided to start thinking positively, I believed in the supernatural that things would defo take a turn for the better, I didn't allow my spirit dampen....

My dear, within hours, especially towards the evening, there was an influx! I became overwhelmed with demands of gimme this! gimmee that!

To cut the long story short, sales went well, really well. More than we'd expected.
More importantly, we were able to foster goodwill with neighbouring shop owners.

Yesterday was fulfilling for me.

I learnt a lesson.
Impossible Is Nothing to him who believes.

So should you.

This is de begining of wisdom! A kingdom fighting against itself can never stand. Tho Nigeria is heterogeneous country, but with luv we can live as one. The earlier we get rid of tribalism, discrimination against one's tribe, religion, others, etc de better for us. God bless u for this post. I hereby pray that God will bring us to a place of oneness for attainment of uncommon goals. God bless Nigeria, the pride of Africa.

I pray for Nigeria everyday because I want the best. Criticising the government or "telling it as it is" doesn't in anyway mean I am unpatriotic. I look way beyond the terrorist in power and pray everyday for a better Nigeria. I hold no iota of bitterness against my fatherland.

Nigeria is in a phase, one day it will work.

Again, God Bless Nigeria (incidentally, it's been my signature since I joined this forum. It should tell you I have great hopes for the country)

There is new president, there is hope that he will perform better than previous ones.

Pray that this country get it right. The country is at the verge of collapse because of long time bad leadership.

Truth is, it doesnt work by prayer. Nigerians are world's most prayerful people, yet good tins aren't working here. Besides, are we suffering from spiritual problem? I guess we all know the answer to that. No great nation ever made it by relying on prayer. Woman stop being emotional.

Today, I have decided to be positive.
Tomorrow, I can wail.
But today? It's significant.

You should drop a word of prayer or two...or better still, wish me a happy new month!grin

There is a place for emotions, there is a place for logic.

I'm a product of the supernatural.
I know it exists.

Prayer means different things to different people.
For me, it has a way of reconfiguring my mind and allowing me press on to greater heights.

The belief that thoughts, attitudes and healing intentions of an individual can influence the physiology of another person or entity is very well supported by scientific studies into the healing power of prayer.
