Nice one. But I still don't expect anything tangible from a government headed by a dullardist. Happy new month.

My prayer is dat he'll experience what he wished previous government.

I pray that they discover a huge oil deposits in the North especially in Chad basin and Bauchi basin so that the north will have the confidence to leave the Biafrans to go or let the oil wells just dry up or let this oil prices that is crashing continue to the extent that they will be selling 1 barrel of oil for 5 dollars.
The Igbos is only people that can survive without oil in Nigeria. They are technically sound, Some European countries like Estonia, Czech republic, Luxembourg are landlocked, has no oil but you cannot compare them with Nigeria because they are very good is silicon technology. Igbos can achieve the same if you look at what is going on in Aba and Nnewi in Anambra state. Is only Hausa/Fulani and Yorubas is seeing it that without oil they will all die because they are non productive.

This thread is meant for corporate prayers, best wishes and thoughts.

Let positivity, and light guide us as we make pronouncements concerning Nigeria and her people.

Even if you're a Biafran or Odua republic apologist, for now, we are still a nation...

Do take time out to wish everyone and everything around you well.
It'll go a long way.

Finally, I wish everyone, I mean EVERYONE reading this a HAPPY NEW MONTH and Better Days Ahead.

I thank you all in anticipation of your co-operation.
Prayers will never solve the mirage of problems we have. We need to build good institutions and practise an encompassing democracy where every rights of individual will be be upheld.
I want a better Nigeria but not through prayers.

Why waste your energy and prayers? If there is no equity there will be no justice and if there is no justice there will be no peace. These are natural laws prayer can't change. When we complain about Nigeria its not out of hate for any tribe, its just frustrations that the solution which is to restructure completely to true federalism is being avoided by the powers that be. We cannot be praying for solutions God has given us the wisdom to solve but we lack the vision to see strategically. As for the terrorist president, its strange how Nigerians left a peace maker to follow idol! undecided
MizMyColi:
Good Morning Everyone

I had finished my workout sessions and decided to try out the new earpiece my little Sis "dashed" me, and a Christian song by Frank Edwards was in play.
I thought to seize the opportunity to pray for my loved one who was going through tumultuous times, and before I knew it, I started praying passionately for Nigeria. I prayed for the president! I was in tears.
Those who know my political antecedents here would understand that I am more an anti-Buharist and even more anti-APC....

But this morning, none of that mattered. I was led by something higher to drop all forms of bitterness, and complaining, and reservations; for the love of dear country, for the love of humanity.

‎
Muslims, Christians, Budhists, Atheists, Igbo, Yoruba, PDP, APC, Partyless Opposition, SS, Northerner....No matter who and what you are. Today, I enjoin us‎ to take a little time from our busy schedule and say a word of prayer for our Nigeria and for the leadership of this country. Today, it dawned on me, that it doesn't matter what has been done or undone, every day presents a chance to chart a new course in our history, in our lives.

Let today, the 1st day of November, 2015 start a movement of healing that would sweeps across the fabric of this nation.

Let every structure of negativity and bitterness and unforgiveness that so seeks to continually divide us‎ be pulled down.
‎
Today, irrespective of our religious, political and tribal affiliation, we declare that it is well with Nigeria.
We declare that it is well with our president and every arm of leadership of this nation.

Our Divine Creator will save, Our Divine Creator will deliver.

God bless us all.‎
Amen.

MizMyColi your intentions are good and noble but you've been bashed by some deluded people here. Sorry about that. Personally I'll never pray for Nigeria becos I think it's a waste of time but I join you in prayers for Nigeria just for today because you asked for it.

Thank Yousmiley

As for the bashes and bashers, I actually do wish them well and pray that none of what they've uttered here follows them or their daughters.

It's easier to deal with folks like that when you're self-possessed and have a level of quiet strength going for you.

Honestly I felt bad reading all those who are supposed to be future leaders. I was wondering how a person, no matter how lost he/she may be and with a warped mindset, could find fault in something as noble and patriotic as praying for ones country. I was dumbfounded, I was shocked. First thing that came into my mind was how would you be feeling seeing this enormous hatred been thrown at you. It's a pity, really.

Anyway just like you rightly said, it's easier to take on such folks when you are self-possessed. I know you are not the one to cower at their bullying. They should bring it on any other day again I'll like to watch you take them to the cleaner. All the best sis.

Thanks Bro, I like that you felt concerned.

It might sound weird, and perhaps untrue, but I found most of his tirades funny. Literally funny. I giggled.

I knew it was an attempt to make me feel bad, but I figured that I have a right to choose what upsets me, and I have a right to walk away from negativity.

Unproductive arguments and diatribes have a way of draining my energy, so I steer clear.

One of my greatest strengths would be my virtue of Quiet-Strength.
That I keep quiet and ignore doesn't mean I've been boxed in a corner.

I am guided by higher principles and I've learnt never to react out of pain...it doesn't always bode well.

There was a time I started replying their insults and I caught a revelation one day....
The words that filled my mind that day were life-changing.

I am a talented Wordsmith...
I could take them to the cleaners, but what would change bro?
Nothing really.

It's not always easy having to be the stronger and forgiving person....
But all in all, it's been rewarding.

Well people are looking out for their own recently so if I don't watch your back then I'll be doing a disservice to my people. You are welcome all the same.

I quite admire your thinking and mindset, we are responsible for the way we choose to react to any circumstance (good or bad). We always have a choice to make at every point in time.

The recent ethnic argument that has overtaken Nairaland is something I tried the best I can to avoid until this morning when I responded to a thread. I regretted afterwards and did end the impending argument immediately. You are right are such unproductive argument, it leaves one enervated.

Yeah I know you are a talented Wordsmith, just like the son of mark and it's fun reading him watching him decapitate literally the people he's up against. On the other hand, what's the use when one feels bad after everything.

What life changing revelation was it you caught? Do you mind sharing? It's ok if it's personal.

If it weren't for the moral support, I prolly would have felt down.
There's a saying that "after all is said and done, we'll remember, not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

Yeah, I saw your post on the thread.
Tbh, I don't blame you one bit. We all have our ways to process angst and however anyone chooses to go about theirs within acceptable limits is fine by me.

I saw the screenshots and I felt a tinge of regret. It made me rethink my past actions.
If these things came to light then, I prolly would have maintained my lane. All the same, these things happen for a purpose and I'm thankful for being an instrument of hope and succour at the time.

Well, it's all good.
People make mistakes, and everyday presents a chance to better our lives.

Exactly my brother!
What's the use when one'll feel bad after engaging in e-fights? No need, trust me.

Nothing much really.
I was simply reminded of my life's purpose as a peacemaker and minister of reconciliation, and how I'm to hold my peace because I happen to be among a people blessed with the gift of piety.
Anyone can say negative stuff and get away with it...just not us. We bless, even in the face of persecution.

Lol
Even if you see me lose my cool and take anyone to the cleaners, just know that I will have to go through a rigorous "flogging" to rid myself of such negative energy.
Sometimes, when I think of what it'll cost me, I take the easy way out.
I bless, forgive and pray for them.
