I was very specific with it though when i said "for now". Kwara state is not part of the DAWN project and statistics that come from kwara are not included as south-west stats.I don't think DAWN is blind to the fact that Kwara state is Yorubaland but we all know the reasons why they can't include kwara.NIGERIA!

I have no doubt that Kwara state is Yoruba land but the "Yoruba" aspect of the title has to do with success stories since we had to include Yorubas in the diaspora. The "Southwest" aspect of it is just about the development of the south-west.

As per the emboldened, like is said earlier, there's no where you check for statistics that include kwara as part of south-west statistics except if you can provide us with one. You still haven't responded to me on what i should change the thread title to

All in all, my point is we have to face reality "for now" and not fantasies or what we wish for.Is kwara state Yoruba land?YES!Is it part of the "South-west" as far as Nigeria is concerned?NO!
[/b]

there are separate threads for dawn project.

If you folks are bent on making this one about dawn, then change the thread title to reflect that.

dont lure people in with false pretences.

I'm tired of apartment looking houses.......I want to see flats like this in NIgeria, esp in the SW.

Nigeria should hire someone with Zaha Hadid's deconstructivism architectural vision. The whole fragmented geometric thing is cool.

Property owners in Ondo State can now obtain titles for a minimum fee of N15,000 and maximum of N25,000, with an eight week processing and delivery period.

The state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, who gave details of the new deal at a Stakeholders meeting in his office on Friday, August 14, said the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) in the state will be done within eight weeks for N25,000 in urban areas, maximum of N20,000 in semi-urban areas and a maximum of N15,000 in the rural areas of the state.

Anyone in Ondo state heard of this? My gosh this is cheap!

I know right. I love brick houses!

Advantages of brick homes

Brick-home exteriors can be more expensive than siding, and since bricks are porous, problems with drainage and mold may arise if the home is not maintained. However, with an adequate drainage system, a brick exterior offers several advantages to other home-exterior options. In the long run, brick may be worth the extra building costs, and may even reap a profit for home owners.

Temperature Control

According to The Full Brick Advantage, brick functions very differently from traditional insulated siding. When insulation is combined with a brick exterior, the insulation will act as a barrier to heat and cold, and brick will "stabilise internal temperatures by delaying the passage of heat through the wall." In the summer, this means that the hottest temperatures of the day won't hit the inside of your home as quickly as they would in a home made of more lightweight materials. In the winter, the interior side of the wall will absorb and redistribute the heat inside the house.

Easy Maintenance
Apart from occasional drainage problems, brick homes are easy to maintain. According to Siding Helper, for the first 25 years, brick homes only require an occasional wash with a hose. After that, loose or chipped bricks may need repairs. Brick-home owners won't need to worry about painting or decay. According to Cash Building Material, brick homes are also resistant to termites, fire and weather, which may result in lower insurance rates.

Increased Home Value
Although brick can be a more costly home exterior choice, it may increase the value of your home—up to six percent, according to Siding Helper. You may also save money on home repairs, maintenance and insurance. Since many people find brick attractive, it can also increase the overall curb value of your home and increase the chances that potential buyers will come take a look. Brick is versatile and complements a variety of home designs.

For Nigeria's hot climate, temperature control is important.

Ko ya mi lenu sha.
Their only unifying factor is abusing and hating Yorubas. Every Biafra thread relates back to one nincompoop mentioning Yoruba and the rest of the igbins follow suit, based on that one hateful comment. I hope Yorubaland never gets to that level of using hatred as a unifying factor.
I've never seen an Ogun vs Ondo or Lagos vs ogun thread.
