Homoeroticism is foreign to Yoruba culture. grin

Please, let's leave chi chi man out of this thread before we destroy a great thing.

Homos are free to lead whatever life they want, but this thread isn't about celebrating people's sexual preference(s)/orientation(s) and being gay isn't an achievement.

You two are not serious. Impartial justice is no justice.
Impartial celebration is no celebration.
I hope Yorubaland can boast of religious and sexual orientation tolerance in the future.

Lol.

When did being gay become an achievement?

If being gay is an achievement, then being straight should also be an achievement - alie?

Err...if we now decide to start celebrating all gay and straight people as achievers - then we'll have to celebrate the over 40million Yoruba folks on the planet. Who has time for that?

When did civil rights become an achievement?
These people are fighting for social tolerance and justice for something they can't control.

What's the correlation between civil rights and homoeroticism, which is more or less a lifestyle?

Their fight for "social tolerance"/"justice" is no different from the fight of weed smokers for "social tolerance"/"justice". Both are lifestyles.

A lifestyle isn't an achievement -it's a choice. And so long we respect whatever choice(s) people make, that's enough.

However, when we start celebrating non-achievement and a person's lifestyle -it's problematic.

Let gay people do whatever they do. When they achieve something apart from their lifestyle - we shall celebrate them.

I'd post the profile of Justin Fashanu (John Fashanu's elder brother). He was gay but he did achieve something nice as the first black footballer in the UK to get signed for £1 million.

I sense a tinge of hypocrites. We can't claim to be accommodating and tolerant, yet we're partial against others...like Bisi Alami etc.
It's not necessarily that you don't care, it's your show of distaste whenever the topic comes up.

Let's not talk about it. I don't wanna get irritated at you, ore mi.
