Then again, the quality of folks on this forum also determines what the market and how the forum is run. I've been on CIF since 2008 and I don't think I've ever had an e-fight on there, apart from banter and normal sarcasm. Also, I was on Bossip (yes, the same ghettofied blog where all types of AAs gather for gossip) from 2008-2011, and they quality of debate on there back then was top-notch, especially during Obama's election. That was when I knew a lot of AAs are supremely intelligent and educated. Played around on theGrio.com and theroot.com for a while as well. However, I didn't even spend a week on this forum before mofos started attacking me for no reason. Evidently, if the quality is low, you'll keep attracting miscreants and illiterates. And that's the story of this forum.

When you look at all the websites I listed, you'll see how they keep progressing annually, with quality folks and intellectual discourses. However, with NL, the quality keeps going down daily (not that it has ever been anything special - apart from a few folks you can count on one hand). Even those folks aren't posting anymore. The forum is a toilet, as far as I'm concerned.

But the irony here is the guy keeps winning awards. That's the Nigerian situation for you.

But we still have to give some kudos to his medicine man, that old man is doing a great job grin cheesy

its just fun to inject some rivalry.

I promise you Kiriji was not fought because someone stole Alaafin's cow. Some dude from Ekiti eloped with a girl Alaafin had his eyes on. What an audacity! Balogun, burn Ekiti down! Before you know it men fighting. grin

This is not the historical account just my imagination. cheesy

I took Yoruba classes during my undergrad days. I didn't learn to write/read Yoruba in Nigeria (too young then), I learn it at a top Uni.
Omo Yoruba is too sweet to pass.

Ewwww @ the lips coody. tongue

Do you agree with this?

Osun State Govt. To Start Implementing Land Use Charge Law

The Osun State Government has sent the Land Use Charge bill to the state’s House of Assembly for passage into law.

The bill would focus on reviewing the state’s tax policies, particularly tenement rates and Lands Use Charge.

The Osun State Deputy Governor, Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, told a public hearing of the ‎Land Use Charge Bill 2014 that implementation of the bill would help to improve the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

Other speakers at the public hearing agreed that the state needs to look inward to boost its IGR in order to augment its receipts from the federal allocations.‎ ‎

They appealed to residents and land owners in the state not to see the passing of the bill into law as extortion, but a necessity, as stated by the law to help boost the economy of the state.

Iya Agba so that's how you'll reject that kiss kontinew

As for the poem,I honestly don't think I'd have done a better job except for few words like alebu, instead of flaws, I would have used deformity

I support the Land Use charge thing but I expect Aregbe to focus more on tourism to boost Osun's IGR.That's where the potentials of that state lie

Of course, I guess the economy can't wait for tourism revenue since it's just kicking off. Land Use Charge is quicker to administer.

I just wonder who will be charged and by how much?

Just kicking off? What has he been doing since all these years

I believe companies will be charged the most.

Look at what the former Cross-river guy did with the tourism sector and I don't even believe Cross-river has as much potentials as Osun state when it comes to tourism.Do you know this is Obudu Ranch?Look at those fine huts

Imagine Osun state building something like that for tourists who come for Osun festival

The allocations that SW states gets is ridiculous compared to how much they're using to sustain immigrants. Yorubas, please stop this "one-Nigeria" nonsense.
