At this rate it will cost Nigeria roughly 30 trillion naira to attain the 10,000 MW target.


Jonathan increased our power output to nearly 4500 MW doubling what he met.

Going by Fashola's procurement cost, the last administration would have spent at least 2.5 trillion Naira to reach Jonathan's mark and we will not even see one watt increase.

The best plant for Nigeria would have been Mambila Hydro electric. It would have come at much higher than even Fashola per MW but the running cost is extremely low and they last for everrrrrr.
So that is some more education for you. $ /MW is a very "local" way of rating the attractiveness of power plants.
Running cost is the issue in the third world and renewable energy types are the wave in the advanced countries
