Who cares?? Well, I don't..... Someone had to keep the thread running...... Besides, taking life too seriously without a bit of fun will do no real good to anyone.

Even our Lord Jesus had an interesting sense of humor while on earth.......

TheSuperNerd:
You know the problem with your write-up.... It's "incomplete"....... And very "pessimistic"

How many times are we gonna "spell out" the facts to people like you.........??

You mention Sani Emmanuel coz he's one negative huh??

What about Onazi? He was in 2009 too......*smiles*

What about Omeruo? What about Ramon Azeez who went on to feature at the world cup last year?

What about the other Belgian, German, Brazilian players huh? Where's Ganso? Where's khalifa of switzerland? Where's Borja of Spain? Come on!!!!!
Answer me!!!!!!!!!

Where are they?? Huh??

DO YOU THINK IT'S ALL THE TALENTS THAT WILL GO ON TO BE STARS TOMORROW?

Check out Nigeria's Success story for the U-17s (IN TERMS OF "TOP TALENTS HARNESSED"wink before you run your mouth about "the harm you claim it has caused":

*Below is a list of players who went on to be great professionals and Star senior players......*

1985 Fifa U-17: Nduka Ugbade, Jonathan Akpoborie, Lucky Agbonsevbafe.

WHAT HAPPENED TO GERMANY'S WITECZEK who scored 8 goals to emerge top scorer huh??

1987 Fifa U-17: Can't point out any "true star" here. Peter Ogaba, Fatai Atere and Osundu didn't fulfill their potentials.

1989 Fifa U-17: Victor Ikpeba, Benedict Akwuegbu, Godwin Okpara.

1993 Fifa U-17: Kanu Nwankwo, Celestine Babayaro, Karibe Pascal Ojigwe, Wilson Oruma, Emmanuel Babayaro (before injury cut his fine career short).

1995 Fifa U-17: James Obiorah

2001 Fifa U-17: Can only point to Bassey Akpan (Gk) who still features for Abia Warriors fc in the Npfl.
The likes of Opabunmi (went to 2002 world cup), Victor Brown, Temile and others did not realise their potentials thus they faltered.

2003 Fifa U-17: John Mikel Obi, Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi, Ambrose Vanzekin.

2005 U-17: we didn't make it to the world cup but Sunday Mba emerged.

2007 U-17: Rabiu Ibrahim, Lukman Haruna (featured at the 2010 world cup and did very well).

I know you're gonna ask what about Chrisantus..... Well he's one of those ones who may not realise his full potentials (he's at AEK ATHENS OF GREECE now sha).

But also I ask, where's Bojan Krkic?? (Yeah, he's at Stoke for someone who was a Barca player) Where's Fran Merida?? Where's Sukuta Pasu of Germany?? Where's Iago of Spain?? That German side only produced Toni Kroos where are the others??

DO YOU SEE THAT OURS IS EVEN BETTER THAN MOST NATIONS IN TERMS OF HOW MANY "TALENTS" ACTUALLY MOVE UP THE GRADES TO BECOME SUPER STARS AND BECOME IMPORTANT SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS.

Let's move on..........*smiles*

2009 Fifa U-17: Kenneth Omeruo, Ogenyi Onazi, Ramon Azeez, Abduljaleel Ajagun (still a regular at Panathanaikos of Greece).

From the German team of 2009 only Gotze and Ter Stegen are making waves..... Where are the others??

Neymar is the only one from Brazil's 2009 u-17 squad making his marks. Others nko?? Even the much-hyped Ganso?? **SMH**

Switzerland won the cup that year, where's Khalifa?? I can only point to Haris Seferovic rite now.

Spain nko?? Na only Isco we know..... Where's Golden boot winner, Borja?? Where's Edgar, their Goalie?? Where, where, where?

2013 FIFA U-17:
DO YOU WANT ME TO START WITH THESE ONES COZ THIS SET "MARKED" THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING "NEW" IN OUR FOOTBALL......... WITHIN JUST 2YRS, WE ALREADY HAVE "4" OF THEM (IHEANACHO, NDIDI, ALAMPASU, MOSES SIMON-- was part of the initail campings of the side) IN THE SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM....... ISN'T THAT AMAZING?? Yet, we all know that the others will follow suite soon enough coz most of them are in good clubs in Europe while just a few are based in the Naija league for now.

E.g of others in addition to the "FOUR"

1). "THE FOUR"-- Kelechi Iheanacho (Man City, England), Wilfred Ndidi (KRC Genk, Belgium), Dele Alampasu (Athletico Feirense, Portugal), Moses Simon (KAA GENT, Belgium).

2). The others sure to dominate the senior team soon:
-Isaac Success (Granada, Spain)
-Chidera Ezeh (FC Porto u-19/21s, Portugal)
-Taiwo Awoniyi (Liverpool, loaned to Fsv Frankfurt, Germany)
-Chidiebere Nwakali (Man City, loaned to Girona, spain)
-Godwin Savior (Kvo Oostende, Belgium)
-Musa Mohammed (Istanbul Basekhehir, Turkey)
-Aliyu Abubakar (Ms Ashdod, Isreal)
-Zaharadeen Bello (Kano Pillars, Nigeria)
-Ifeanyi Matthew (El-kanemi warriors, Nigeria)
-Alhassan Ibrahim abdullahi MuaZam (Kvc Westerlo, Belgium)
-Habeeb Makanjuola (Birmingham City u-18/19s)
- and a few others more.......

MARK MY WORDS SIR, THE 2013 SET IS THE NEW "GOLDEN GENERATION" OF RISING SUPER TALENTS FOR NIGERIAN SOCCER.

2015 FIFA U-17:
You know "the story" of this "unique set" but they are just starting out......... Like the 2013 "Golden set", most of them will make it to the top while some may not..... Some will fade but most will rise and go on to be super stars.

Osimhen just sealed a good deal with Tottenham...... Details out soon.

Kelechi Nwakali might join his immediate elder brother (Chidiebere Nwakali) and Namesake (Kelechi Iheanacho) at Man City. Reports say it's an almost done deal....

Same goes for Kingsley Michael, Okwonkwo Orji, Akpan David Udoh, Samuel Chkwueze, Bamgboye, and a few others.

Not all will get good deals that contribute to their development into Stars but most would.

Look, in your secondary school graduating class, IS IT ALL OF YOU WHO MADE IT TO UNIVERSITIES.

IS IT EVERY UNIVERSITY GRADUATE THAT EVENTUALLY GOES ON TO BE A WORLD-BEATER??

Nigerian football is in a new era which was born in 2013.

THE FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP HAVE YIELDED SOME GREAT TALENTS FOR THE COUNTRY AND WILL KEEP DOING SO.........

TELL ME, WOULD THERE HAVE BEEN THE LIKES OF KANU NWANKWO AND VICTOR IKPEBA WITHOUT THE U-17s??

Would they have realised their "full" potentials.....??

The U-17s have given NIGERIA two players who went on to win THE CAF APOTY AWARD IN 1996 (KANU), 1997 (IKPEBA) AND 1999 (KANU AGAIN!!!!).

SO SIR, PLS, THE U-17s and even U-20s have yielded great fruit for the country and will continue to do so........ That's why recently, we are trying to harness as much as we can so that what happened to the 2001 set, 1987 set and a few other sets won't happen again....... Amuneke and his crew have been retained as U-17 coaches while Manu Garba and his crew heads the U-20s.

With the likes of Siasia (U-23s) and Oliseh (Super Eagles-- Senior Team) waiting to harness and channel them properly for THE NATION'S GLORY.

WITH THESE STRUCTURAL PLANNINGS AND MORE, I BELIEVE NIGERIA WILL "ONE DAY" LIFT THE FIFA WORLD CUP..... AND KEEP RAKING IN MORE AFCON TITLES.......

SO CHEER UP SIR, and pls, conduct "researches" before coming online and making such statements.

Even those countries you called have similar problems harnessing all, but Nigeria seems on the right track to getting things right again......

THANKS. GODBLESS. **smiles**

@ TheSuperNerd well said and nice backup.I noticed something about Nigerians,we always find fault about our own.Today I watched Netherland defeat Germany U-20 in Germany,Holland is not in the same rank with Germany in youth football but the people will move on but if it were to be my Naija,oh they are overaged,oh they are not good,oh they can't succeed in the senior team.

It takes more than talent to make it in life. There are boys those days that played football as if they were born with it but they never achieved anything with it,but those that use to guide their boots later become known with football.

We need to stop negative talks about our teams,we are not doing badly even Super Eagles,we just need to put the right players in the right position and the good old days will be here.
