54 min Filthy tackle from Matuidi almost amputates Onazi's ankle and foot. He 'had eyes only for the ball' is the commentator's cop out. He was booked but it could have been red, all six studs going over the ball and planting themselves forcefully into Onazi's ankle. Matuidi apologisesa nd looks remorseful, but that's the end of Onazi.

All your posts on that France/Nigeria game have been spot on........... Well said. Truthful Analysis.

TheGoodJoe:

One guy injured two players. Matuidi made the first harsh tackle and Onazi went off the pitch. The Nigerian medical staffs attended to Onazi and he limped into the pitch. After some minutes, Onazi started performing and the same Matuidi came with a rasher tackle that took Onazi out.

That is part of the game. After the same Matuidi injured Ambrose.

I felt bad for Coach Keshi in that tournament. Babatunde's injury still pains me.

Oliseh bring Juwon Oshaniwa. Na Wa.

Even if you are going for a goal, you do not tamper with your midfield. You can tamper with the defense and go three at the back.
That has been one of Mourinho's regular mistakes this season. You can see it against Everton where he took off Mikel in search of a winning goal and Everton scored two goals.

The attackers will not get enough balls and the defense will be under pressure. The team loses balance.

As for Elderson Echiejile, there is a reason why we were doing poorly during the AFCON qualifiers after Echiejile returned from injury. Coach Keshi noticed it and dropped Echiejile for Oshaniwa.

It is time for Coach Oliseh to do the same. Oshaniwa offers more to the team.

It was still a technically "stupid" move on Oliseh's part.

Wanna play martins?? Then take out Ighalo!!!!! (BUT EVEN SO, IGHALO WASN'T DOING BAD.) So why bring him in?? In fact, why invite him in the first place when you know there's JUST NO WAY HE WAS GOING TO START THIS GAME?? WHY??

Oliseh wasted one substitution spot by bringing in Rabiu and taking him out again. Why?? A mistake.... He tried to correct it by bringing in Iheanacho for Rabiu...... Now look at this team..... Was there any need to "touch anything"

Gk: Carl Ikeme

Dfs: Abdullahi Ambrose Oboabona Echiejile

Mfs: Onazi (in defensive midfield), Mikel (in Central/Defensive midfield) and Iheanacho( in AMF role/SS role)

FWs: Musa(Right), Ighalo(Centre forward) and Simon Moses(left)

((This team above would have won that game by at least 2 goals)) **NO ARGUMENTS ABOUT THAT**

Any Keen Observer of this team knew Ighalo was the man to start as no.9. With Martins to get a run-out maybe later in the game BUTTTT NOT AT MIKEL'S EXPENSE. NOT WHEN WITH NACHO IN THE AMF ROLE/SS ROLE BEHIND IGHALO AND MIKEL AND ONAZI RUNNING THINGS IN MIDFIELD, we were "bound" to get at least a goal.

My goodness!!!!!!!!!! Oliseh holds the highest coaching qualification in Europe (same with Amuneke) and is eligible to coach in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is absolutely preposterous I tell you......

no Musa should have gone out for Martins

Oga, yes we were in search of goals but that's exactly why Iheanacho came in.

Martins for Mikel?? Who is in that midfield then??

Did you read my earlier posts? There, you will see how that team was when Nacho came in........ An almost perfect set-up that was sure to yield goals within a couple of minutes.

But Oliseh spoilt everything....... Haba!!!!!!!!!

And sorry, echiejile was no flop today. That title belongs to SYLVESTER IGBOUN..... #fact.

Then, Followed by Rabiu Ibrahim.......

*smiles* Ambrose was also shaky. But that "move" by Oliseh spoilt it all..... It was a super silly technical move.

Maybe.... But Musa's pace on the right wing trumps Martins there.

Truth is, after Iheanacho came in..... Oliseh would have been safer without bringing in Martins. Ighalo and Moses Simon were equally doing well.

But if bringing in Martins was "absolutely necessary" because of "what Nigerians would say like, **why invite a man all the way from the USA if you will not play him??**, then bring him in for Ighalo.

Having strikers on the field without "YOUR MIDFIELD GENERAL" is like having bullets in your gun but "NO TRIGGER". #tacticalfact

It is a cheap blackmail by comparing Mourinho with Keshi. I don't want to believe that Keshi is better than Siasia, what goes around comes around, Keshi and his godfathers unsettled Siasia, otherwise Siasia would have given us the super Eagles we all desire....over!
is it the same siasia that relegated juth FC? Or the one that killed Heartland caf champion league dreams? Or the one that didn't qualify us for afcon?

And you are saying the same thing over again. It is not injuries but a deliberate attempt to weaken the other team by injuring them. If the French were so ahead, why resort to a deliberate attempt to injure players to win.

Explain that before staking your hard earned money and calling a Lazio player mediocre.

My brother, how most Nigerians think is a case to be studied.. Many just talk before they think. The Big Boss was the "special one" we long waited for, yet we chased him away with politics in our NFF and our fans impatience.
no not fans impatience but what nff and press wanted us to know. Imagine been owed for 7months and u expect me to give my all? Or threatening me sack or not renewing my contract? Let's say the truth this can create some loss of interest in the job. Now just because he applied for a god in civ he was sacked! The sport ministry should investigate his sack.
