With 1% of all government money transfers, no state in Nigeria could rival Remita.

Talk of broad daylight robbery.

Buhari, the corruption fighter, now perpetrating the worst corruption in Nigerian history.

1% of government transactions is outrageous, especially considering the meager work the REMITA does.

They'll make more profit than all the profits made by all indigenous companies in Nigeria combined.

This is grand robbery.

Ignorance is a disease, go and cure yourself. The real story behind the TSA issue is all over the news, even Senator Melaye who raised the issue has backed down after it was explained to him. But of course, some individuals prefer to go with the okada-man-gutter interpretations of the story for obvious reasons.

The Buhari you talk of actually ordered a halt to the process the moment the scandal broke out and he also ordered the parties involved to return all collected funds and return to the negotiation table. And yeah, may I remind you that the 1% deal was signed by your god. Go and educate yourself.

This is grande robbery.

At least 700million monthly average, that is not considering back and forth transfers

At least 85billion in a year for handling transfers. Jesus

This figure could be tripled when you consider deposit and withdrawal. I am only considering deposit.

Majority of the top rated companies in Nigeria are richer than most of the states. The banks are richer than states in Nigeria. I know a private medical practice in Lagos and a law firm than earn billions as yearly income. Op pls broaden your horizon.

And as for your assertion on Buhari's fight against corruption. The REMITA agreement was signed in 2013 but the GEJ administration. So basically, all you did was to indirectly shoot yourself in the foot.

That it was initiated by the last administration does not mean Buhari cannot halt it.
You can't let a fraud to continue because you did not initiate it, do you?

Are you listening to yourself right now.

When Buhari ordered that TSA should be implemented asap, so he did not go through the details?

If that is the case, then he is undoubtedly a dullard

Even if REMITA isn't owned by APC cabals, this is gross incompetence.

In sane countries, the president would have no choice but to resign, but apc e-urchins term everything as propaganda when it is glaring that this isn't.

Instead of u to be thinking of how to add value and maximize profit, you are here calling a private enterprise day light robbers. Global best practices, payment solution providers like first data, google pay, Apple Pay, advantage, square, PayPal charge by %... Remita is helping the govt make more.. Same way, Cotecna, a Swiss company, owned by Arabs, was helping NPA collect fees and it got paid by commission..
Naija banks use Wipro, Infosys, and Oracle. They pay these software vendors.. Same way MTN, Airtel, and Glo pay vendors and network builders like Ericcson and Huawei.. They pay for billing software as well..
If Remita overcharged FG, it must refund and be dealt with, but calling every company evil isn't going to help change the economic landscape of this country..
I'm no fan of MTN, but the way Nigerians are saying let's bring it to its knees is quite surprising without thinking that MTN directly and indirectly supports millions of lives in Naija.
Can we use our brains first?

So after the unsavoury rates were brought to his knowledge, did Buhari not halt the contract and order the company to return all monies collected?... What exactly are you talking about?

Who is this dafto?... Tell me where in the world you will engage bankers or fund handlers and not pay for their services?.... Even the banks have been quietly ripping the government off for decades with rates much higher than what has just been spent yet this dumbo in a desperate bid to equate everyone to his lowly self is accusing the president of dashing money.

Walahi, education in Nigeria is a waste of resources when you consider the products like this poster.

[b]Why are asking many Nigerians to do what they cannot?

Why do you think there's no notable advancement in IT from our locales?

Everyday you read on Nairaland "Papa God bless me as you have done Bill Gates " yet they think providing a software, platform or interface is fraud.

Many are zombies without a thinking faculty and they simply roll with the bandwagon.

Many still think Remita is a company or agency... Thanks to the dimwitted Dino.

Many only see the profit but not the intellectual work behind it, the gains of the government from lower commissions paid out to banking agents as previously done.

What's most curious about the criticism, is the fact that their lord and saviour, the Otuoke based Ex-president signed the very agreement. But that's not the issue, as long as Buhari is involved one way or the other it MUST be criticized.

What's laughable is the fact that many assume this incessant, no- brain criticism would sway the opinion of the many, who supported the president's climb to his present position.

Many years to wail.

There'll be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth indeed.

@OP , how many times do you need to be told
1.remita is a software and not the companys name,

2. the company deploying Remita is System specs.

3. System Specs signed a contract with the previous govt in 2013, but TSA was not implemented

4. When TSA implementation began in 2015(PMB's regime), it was discovered that System specs had cornered 8 billion profit

5. CBN demanded the 8 billion naira profit be reversed in the mean time., possibly to schedule a review of contract.

6. System Specs has complied returning the 8 billion naira to national coffers

IF you fail to understand this as simply as it is, you are a blockhead.
