OPC Alerts Security On Planned Pro-Biafra Protest In Yoruba Land by alcmene: 3:19pm On Dec 04, 2015 |
The Pan-Yoruba militant group, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), has alerted security agencies in the country of alleged moves by the pro-Biafran agitators to shift their campaign to Yorubaland for ulterior motives.https://www.today.ng/news/national/47172/opc-alerts-security-agencies-of-plot-to-shift-biafra-agitation-to-yorubaland?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter 42 Likes 3 Shares |

The OPC should be careful. They should be very careful, with their utterances, as this is not the time to put heat or over heat the polity with unfounded/baseless/dangerous accusations. The Ibo's are Nigerians, and have a right to gather for a meeting anywhere in Nigeria, as enshrined in our Constitution. The OPC is not a security agency, or affiliated with one, and so not privy to security reports. They should not instigate hate against another tribe. I write this as Somebody that is neither ibo or yoruba, the bloodshed and cries of bloodshed is becoming too much. Everybody calm down please. 157 Likes 15 Shares |

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. ~ Martin Niemöller This saying is so true for the present stage of dictatorship we find ourselves now. 1) They rubbished Madueke without facts, we were silent. 2). They arrested Dasuki, we shrugged, na dem dem. 3). They shot at unarmed protesters we said it serves them right(why did they burn mosque) 4). They sent a bill to gag freedom of speech and we kept quiet. 5). They held Nnamdi Kanu against court orders, we kept quiet at least he's not my relative. When they come for you, just remember your silence. "In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends" ~Martin Luther King Jr. 157 Likes 22 Shares |

But Lagos they say is a no man's land. Besides IGBO'S can leverage on their right as Nigerians to hold meetings or protest anywhere. They should better go and sleep if they really want peace and are peace loving. 19 Likes 6 Shares |

ernesty20: Guy why you dey fear... Have the mods threaten/harmed your right to speech.? This is becoming unbearable.. Seun what are you teaching us in this forum. Why are you hunting on peoples freedom... Making them scared will never solve anything... They should be allowed to voice their discomfort or comfort. Remember they might be the one that might speak for you one day, locally or internationally, what if by then the trauma is still there and they are not able to speak on your behalf? .seun seun seun... This is causing more harm than good. What about your disclaimer. Or are you intentionally keeping silent. Mind you this is criminal and unjustifiable. A word is enough for the wise they say. 15 Likes 3 Shares |
