shoptomydoor: Thank you, I got my item within 5days in good condition, although I must confess your shipping rates are quite high. I recently ordered for 3 more wigs and the shipping charges was out of this world considering how weightless my item is. The total weigh of my package is approximately 4lbs but extra 2lbs was included. I won't complain about that even though the total is $40. Im Not happy about the fact that you are billing me per item. Please I've chosen to consolidate my order in my account. I hope there is no charge for that request. Dear Solomon, We have tried to call you but no one is picked. The weight and dimension inputted for your item is per delivery and the item weight/dimension is taken if you opt in for extra boxes to be taken out. This automatically does not bill you beyond the general package dimension/weight as item are packed into boxes that they can fit into. Also note that the picture you provided is referencing the value and the quantity of the items and not the item weight/dimension as the dimension inputted for the 3 items in that delivery. shoptomydoor:you people are just rip-offs. I tried every means of reaching you people via chat which was impossible, The US line not working, the Nigerian line responded with no valuable information. my 1st order was a wig with the dimension 12*8*3, my 2nd order was 3 of the same wig. I believe if you were to measure the dimension of the three wigs the only difference should be the height which should be 12*8*9 instead you added an extra inch making it 13*8*9. For the weight, the first order I made stated it weighed 0.36kg which is approx. 1lb but was charged 2.2lb. I ordered 3 of the same package and because i didn't complain you decided to multiply it by 2 making the total weigh of 3 wigs 6.73lbs. which I've been charged $40 for. Thank you so much for your services. I'm just glad i didn't have to ship bigger items, it was my second attempt and will definitely be the last. I already made payment and i can't just deal with the useless customer-care service. 1 Like |

I call your attention to the spurious measurements your staff gave for an item in Delivery 53, Shipment #87197 in my warehouse which increased the chargable weight by a whopping 18 lbs, and please note I'm not talking about the actual weight of the item, I'm referring to the so-called dimensional weight which was measured 24x22x18 in instead of 25.7x18.1x15.1 in This has been the trend for some time now, your service used to be top-notch before, until recently when you started giving unrealistic measurements and even lost one of my items in my last shipment which was delivered to your office but you claimed not to have received. If this persists I may have to look for an alternative means of shipping my goods as there are several options open to me. Dear Nduka, I've been reading some recent comments here and indeed, it saddens me. A lot of issues are being raised here that needs to address. Most of them are issues that I have personally called to your attention in the past, urging you to fix it before it escalates. It seems my advice wasn't taken because those issues now seem to be a daily occurrence. I am not one that wants to see your downfall, rather I for one want you to rise up higher. Why? Because, it favours me if you improve and rise higher tomorrow. It means I can easily shop abroad and enjoy the same goods and services some people who are privileged to travel abroad enjoy without leaving the country. I think it is time you sit down and take a critical look at your business today and compare it with how it was some years back when I first started using your service. Granted, you have made some improvements in your services, but at the same time, some areas that were working perfectly are now broken. I think it will be wise to ask if those improvements are actually worth it? The last time I wrote you on these issues, I got the feeling that you don't really recognize them as an issue. I may be having the wrong assumptions and I actually do hope that I am indeed wrong on this. I believe the major issue users are having here are the measurements and how you do your billing. Just like someone pointed out, your automatic system doesn't take cognizance of the fact that it should bill the customer based on the measurement of the box being used to ship the consolidated items (whether they are in their original boxes or stripped). That is what goes into the ship/plane and that is what occupies space therein. Also, you should note that the dimensions of the box being used to ship isn't always a sum of the dimensions of all the items it contains. So, your software automatically calculating the dimensions of the box based on the sum of the dimensions of the individual items and subsequent billing thereof is something that will always result in much higher billing than normal. I use my last issue as a case in point where I had some series of inaccurate measurements and subsequent billings. Also, it seems like your staff no longer constitutes of the same caliber and mettle as it used to be. A company is only as good as its employees representing it. The staff you have today leaves a lot to be desired. And by staff, I mean both Nigerian and US offices. There are a lot of things they have been doing that highlight the fact that they are either incompetent or that you encourage them to do such acts. I appeal to you that you also take a closer look to your staff. Train and retrain them because they are the face of your company. However, you can use the reweigh option for the delivery in your warehouse and this allows us to reweigh the item for its actual weight and dimensions and the picture of weight and dimension being taken will be forwarded to you for evidence. Hello people! Please I just want to be guided. I'm about to place an order which is to be shipped to Shoptomydoor UK warehouse. A set of luggage boxes which costs 25000 and weighs 17kg but when I did shipping estimate on Shoptomydoor, it's 63,000 naira. Thanks to shoptomydoor,they are amazing! i got my two packages intact(77734 and 77737),one of the package was delayed but still falls btw d 2 to 3 days of delivery and the reps(Tomiwa and co) called me to assure me of the delivery.I was still basking in the euphoria of the delivery when i was also given a 10% off my next shipment. i paid for another shipment today and lo and behold,i was sent a code which deducted 10% of the shipment fare,i also benefitted from the paypal deduction on STMD.I paid a paltry amount today and i gave part of the remaining shipment fare to my wife to cook "better" soup for me(lol). All i heard was that my items have been sent to the right dept to action. Kindly return the items in my warehouse (UNIT NG59450) with the return label i attached in my two previous mails to enable them refund and replace the undersized shoes. I previously highlighted the benefits of using Shoptomydoor to ship items from the U.S. I would also like to highlight areas of improvement based on my shipping experience with the U.S Warehouse: Shipping Preference & Consolidation: I've noticed some small items that could have been consolidated were shipped as separate packages. At other times, i needed to ship items to multiple locations but Shoptomydoor consolidated those items in the warehouse making it difficult to ship to multiple locations or leave some items behind. Going forward, the shipper should be able to choose what items are to be shipped through the use of a "selector button" or a "radio button" incorporated in the warehouse. The warehouse [website] can also be upgraded to calculate the weight and shipping cost of the items that have been selected for shipping. Invoicing: This area needs serious work! Some packages arrive without invoice and Shoptomydoor immediately assigns an estimated value of the item before you even have the opportunity to update the values. Even when an invoice is uploaded, there's a slight chance that it will be looked at unless of course you send emails or place calls to Shoptomydoor. For me as a shipper I've resolved to discuss with the store to see if they could attach the invoice to my package before shipping to Shoptomydoor to avoid this hassle. Warehouse Updating: Slow. Shoptomydoor says your warehouse unit will be updated within 24hrs and they actually mean it! From personal experience, they maximize the 24hr window before updating packages. As a result, packages are usually updated the next day business day or so after being received. Again i adjusted by ensuring packages get to the Warehouse latest Wednesday to give allowance for the "Maximum time" to update the Warehouse on Thursday before finally paying for shipping on Friday. Customer Care: If it's an issue they can solve easily you will get an automated email, another email that the issue is being looked into, and a possible third email that the issue has been solved. If they can't solve it timely then you'll find yourself on the follow up train constantly calling and mailing to find out about the status of your request. Truthfully, the time difference (U.S.) also contributes to the time it takes to solve an issue. If for instance you contact customer care in Nigeria at 9 A.M about an item in the warehouse (U.S.) they have to wait till the warehouse team resumes about 7hrs later because of the time difference. This makes issue resolution slow and bureaucratic. Conclusion: I've shipped over 10 packages from the U.S through Shoptomydoor this year and i can tell that as a logistics firm, they have some challenges with logistics. I also believe these challenges can be overcome with proper management. I know that efficiency and accuracy is not cheap but a little addition here and there would improve the overall quality of services being offered by Shoptomydoor. I see Shoptomydoor as one of our young growing firms, and as one of our own, its needs to be nurtured and not tortured to reach its pinnacle. 1 Like |

shoptomydoor: Its clearly shown in the pics i uploaded.....76958. I know the order number will show a consolidated package weight of 10.1lbs, but i am concerned about the M&S shipment alone. 0.77kg (1.7lbs) from the courier service in the uk, exact same package then miraculously increase to 9lbs(4.09kg) in custody of STMD. However, we do not update based on estimates as we check for the package weight and dimension when updating. shoptomydoor: In other words, shoptomydoor has an accurate scale while all others guess right? As regards the reweigh option, if you guys do a good job in the first place that should not be an option. I have attached the breakdown of the shipment, you don't need a rocket scientist to know that the 9lbs from you guys is the wrong weight. Undies are practically weightless. There is no way a high heel shoe (That dont belong to Derenle) would account for the remaining 8lbs. A lot of other people on this thread also complain of weight discrepancy. Seems you guys have a lot to do on that area.

So I made the mistake of ordering to ShopToMyDoor following several promotional emails offering $25 ships all to Nigeria. 70% discount on 3 day shipping. Well my orders had already shipped before I logged into shoptomydoor.com only to find out that the offer does not apply to all websites and there is nothing offering 70% discount. Since I am shopping for my business I need to keep the cost of shipping as low as possible not to affect my prices but it seems you guys are set up to charge the highest rates possible and your funny email and telephone responses have been set up to trick your customers into spending as much money as possible on extra services. I have asked shoptomydoor to remove my goods from boxes and package them into one where possible, seeing that there is no need to have 9 different boxes, but this appears to be a challenge as I keep getting emails back saying 'Kindly note that all your packages has been updated correctly into your warehouse' however, there are still 9 packages which haven't been put together according to the warehouse page. The promotional emails you have used to catch customers has really worked, but there is no way I am spending $700 shipping goods that normally costs me $250 with Corporate Messenger.
