Imo has the highest number if graduates. Many civil servants are graduates. Do the math. Lagos has the lowest population of indigenes in Nigeria. Most Lagosians were from other states.
Lagosians have a high population in Lagos. How do you know we are the lowest population of indigenes.Did you do a census State government work is more lucrative for us. But the FG placements should be higher than that. You think they don't ask for certificates to prove state of origin?

How can you be talking what you don't know

Less than 40% of civil servants are graduates...

Ibos are a small fraction of the graduate workforce..

The people receiving minum wage up to level 7 are what? ? & wake up from that slumber that Imo has the highest number of graduates, you can only claim that when it is between the SS/SE, you hia ba

If you insist on arguing, Civil service commission is right beside customs office in Wuse Zone 5/7, you need to pay them a visit....

must u guys turn everything to Igbo and Yoruba. we really need reorientetion in this country

Lagos with just 2180 is surprising.
Imo with over 5000 FG civil servants is eye opening.

Generally, more FG civil servants in the South than in the North (averagely speaking). Yet we all brag that those Nortgerners only rely on FG.

If fewer of them work with the government, does it not tell us majority fend for themselves? If anything, it's their politicians and leaders who enjoy the largesse while the commoners bear the brunt of poor leadership, same as majority of Nigerians.

You want to based your judgement based on this post alone.....smh

North rely majorly on govt money, check state and local govt. Federal Govt needs performance while their State and Local govt just distribute salary irrespective of deliverables.

Does that remove the fact that they prefer being government civil servants to being something else?

what are you talking about?

have you lived in the North before?

how many northeners are averagely educated?

do you know how those guys are begged to at least go to school over there?

when I was there, junior class, they beg them to go to school with a cup of tea...

so they should be employed without any form of education at all?

I'm not sure you thought or researched before typing...

We can't say anything about what we have no information yet. Besides, What plays out in state and local governments would surely be same across all states.

Lagos with 2180 is not surprising. they are talking about state of origin not population. Most Lagosians are not from Lagos hence ogun ondo osun oyo are higher. the average easterner you see is from Imo. notice Enugu is also small just like Lagos.

on your second point, I have been saying it. Northerners get an easier ride into Public service than other regions but that is because there are relatively so few of them qualified/applying compared to the south. in fact if not for a little bit of federal character, you would have had more ridiculously low numbers for the north.

Imo actually has the highest number of graduates.

Population means nothing when you compare the combined annual take home of about 500 of those Imo workers to what a DG from Kano or katsina takes home in four months.

What you wrote has some truth but Imo State has by far the highest number of graduates in Nigeria. For the past 30years nearly 10% of yearly graduate output has been from Imo State. Make your enquiries and add that to your knowledge of Nigeria.

10% of all graduates in Nigeria from Imo state? Where do you get your statistics from?
It looks like Aba made statistics even on face value.

Imo with 5k when other states with massive graduates re toiling behind. And some morons could talk of them having the highest number of graduates in Nigeria. Do u know how many graduates produced in south west on yearly basis. Set of ungrateful elements
