you can imagine, engineering and law graduates would be trained for 9months to become teachers. how many people who studies social studies or even economics can be found working in a law firm as a lawyer or as a medical doctor? teaching is a profession but it isn't jealously guided by those who belong in it.

Is that so? I also served in the north where education is a far cry from what we have in the south, but be that as it may, I know the quality of corp members who taught these children. I mean couple with the total lack of willingness to learn from the kids, and the lack of interest to teach these kids from the corp members. So what are you saying? Are you the only one who served in the rural area?

Which village and state did you serve, care to tell?

There are teachers and there are teachers, you can notjust flood schools with teachers and expect to get maximum result.

What we suffer from in Nigeria is lack of good and quality teachers.

Its a nice idea sincerely our teachers in most secondary schools r half baked while most dnt even knw wot they do. In my days as a corp member in osun state the students were taught purely in yoruba language, u can't even communicate with more than half of a class, this has got to stop
