Don't even go there. Nigeria is no match to the consistent and well trained Iranian military. The only thing we are good at is the archaic practice of people standing like statue in the name of ADC behind our politicians. 5 Likes 1 Share |

malele: Yes. And the US can overrun Iran if it wants to too. Of course, that's not going to happen Aside for the fact that there's a whole long distance between Iran and Nigeria, there's no justification for an invasion, an attack or even sanctions. |

Iran don't need to be directly involved. You don't hit a man already down. Iran only needs to provide “support” to anyone sleeper cell and fight a proxy war with nigeria. Militants are there,IPOB,Shia,Boko, one crazy group in Nassarawa and all group that has ever felt any form of injustice from the Nigerian state. Even our politicians are ready and willing tools once the price is right. 6 Likes |

The Iranian army is based around a religious ideology. Let's just say their military doctrine is all about kill or be killed. They regard death or martyrdom as the ultimate sacrifice and so even if we were to outmatch them, they'll not tire until everyone of them is wiped off. At the same time, Iranian influence in Nigeria is minimal. They don't appear to have a huge diaspora in Nigeria nor is there likely to be a threat spinned off via some of the (Shia) Lebanese present in Nigeria. Nigeria is also surrounded by quite a few countries who are not Shia adherents making their reach to be almost impossible into Nigeria. Long story short, Iran ain't gonna try shït nor can do nothing. |
