There is this vast topic that exists in deliverance circles and this is d issue of spiritual spouse(husband or wife). i will want more light to b shared on this Biblically. Whoever has done some research on dis should pls help throw more light on it.

well...to cut a long story short, there are a group of demons that specialized in adopting human beings as their lovers or spouses. some of their victims are aware (a long time ago, one of those girls who do these tura soaps came for prayers where i used to go. her problem was that anytime she behaves i.e doesnt allow a guy to toast her, or have anything sexual to do with a man, her spirit husband would come at night, sleep with her and drop dollars under the pillow for her. but if she misbehaves... he comes at night and stones coins at her)

lastly a small testimony before i roll out. one night, many years back, i was in my parlour sleeping. i tied a wrapper. around past four as i was about dozing...(i think i did mid night prayers), i felt a fearful presence on top of me. so fearful i couldnt even open my eyes. the presence was as real as real. it was removing my wrapper. i tried to the wrapper, but the being removed the wrapper as easy as a 40 year old man is removing something from a day old child. i was so scared i couldnt even pray. all of a sudden, something suggested WHY DONT YOU PRAY IN YOUR MIND? so i shouted in my mind holy ghost fire. Immediately i said that, the loudest thunder, i have ever heared in my life strucked.(i can't explain it,) but i felt the demonic personality jumped away with great fear. i FELT IT'S own fear. it was like something or someone dragged it off. that was the first and last time.

@Vooks. I do not totally agree with your assertions concerning the wet dream issue. we cannot control
what we dream about or what happens with our bodies while we are asleep. Scientifically wet dream is a natural
bodily function caused by sexual over stimulation, that helps the body to relieve itself. while we can not totally disagree with this assertion, cos sometimes you wet dream without having the sex scene. Wet dream on the other hand (The christian view), is the result of sinful
thoughts and desires. Yes it is sinful as a christian to be inflamed by lustful thoughts, as our bodies react to what takes place in our minds. From this we can infer that wet dream is the result of sin, not a sin in and of itself.

I have met two such ladies who had Spirit husbands.

some years back, I was in the hospital when a lady was brought in by a Pastor of a Church. We were kept in the same ward, so we got talking after sometime. she told me her experiences. I was really shocked that indeed these things get that serious.

she grew up knowing a guy who comes to her only when she slept, at first. As she grew up and got very use to him, He started appearing physically, but when she's alone, and in case someone just suddenly walks in, He will just walk away. She said the first time the guy walked away, she thought the person who came in saw him. But the person didn't act like she saw him, so she kept quiet.

She never had any Interest in any guy seriously (i mean human). Following friends, she got to sleep with one or two guys, but she didn't get any real satisfaction. She said, anytime that guy mates with her, the satisfaction she gets keeps her okay until he comes back.

When she entered Uni. every babe had a boy friend, and guys were spending money on her friends, so she needed guys too, not for sex but for money, because her parents couldn't meet up that much. That guy actually suggested Prostitution for her. through that she will make money, but for sexual satisfaction, he was there to give.

So she went into Prostitution. You know nah, Campus hustling, clubbing and standing by the wayside, the next morning they return to school.
After, uni she had to stop. Many guys were coming to marry her, but she wasn't interested. Her parents became hysterical, her younger ones were getting married rapidly.

Then she met Douglas. without warning, for the first time, she felt something for him. they started dating. Douglas proposed marriage and she accepted, that was wen the war started. The water guy was going to kill Douglass outrightly.

Before her very eyes, she watched a healthy guy who came into her life dwindled without any reasonable sickness. His business crumbled. hardship, all of a sudden. But she knew what was going on.

At a point she told Douglass everything, so they started looking for a way to get her delivered.
They went to these marine churches, they just collected their money, nothing happened.
This time, the water guy will always want to mate with her the very same time Douglass wants her. So she started acting strangely, trying to reject him meant rejecting Douglass too. It got to a point, Douglass left her.

By now she was done with that water thing and wanted serious deliverance. She went to a Church. That pastor broke out of Deeper Life newly then and started his own ministry. Immediately, the pastor walked into were they kept her, she started manifesting. Started talking in a voice of a man, protesting that he wasn't going anywhere. (all these, she was told later on, because she didn't know anything that happened)

The pastor had not said anything yet, he started. That was when they realized that the water guy was living inside of her all along.

He told the pastor that, instead of him to leave, he'll kill her. like Joke, this thing started flinging this girl all over the place. A smallish girl became a giant that able bodied men could not hold down. it was discovered, he wasnt the only demon living inside of her. Before he left, he flung her on a hard wooden bench, she broke her arm. As in serious fracture. The Church had to bear the cost of her treatment.
Today, she is a deeper life kind of born again. she got married to a pastor later on.

apart from the incident in gen 6 :2.....no other documented source has been found grim the Bible yet.....however that doesn't mean it isn't real. don't tell me u don't believe?

Nice and good. Prophet samuel is a true prophet of God. if we can weigh him on the spiritual scale, he may be operating on a certain height of spirituality. The height of spirituality of a man determines his spiritual authority over demons and satan(our Lord Jesus as example).
That you are a pastor or a bishop or prophet does not described that such one is spiritual(having spiritual authority over demons) more than the members of his church.
That prophet samuel is a true prophet does not mean that there is not other people serving God faithfully in israel as that time(except the bible mention so, i never see it in book of samuel).

i believe so much that it is demonic activities that results in this spirit spouse stuff and i agree. Wat i do not understand is some teachings dat paints it like a ghost visit. Demonic activities are decerned not diagnosed. As a matter of fact, in some circles, dey will even tell you some prayer point to repeat or shout. Good evening dear brother. The scripture says he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. The devil likes to make a counterfeit of Kingdom principles sometimes hence the reason for spiritual husbands and wives issue.

There are no biblical proofs to say spiritual husband / wife exist but hearsay and experiences of people doesn't tally with that . My point is that those so called spirit husband / wife are demons commissioned by devil to oppress people and cause confusion in the world.

There are some people who don't have issues with spirit husbands but are still being oppressed by the devil and his demons in another way.

Those demonic spirits work for the same devil. The devil has setup different demonic programmes and principles in his realm to confuse creation. One of such is the issue of reincarnation when people claim to have seen dead people live in other places and even give birth.... Hmmmm... Satanic jabs and confusion.

I can't proof spirit husbands / wives are real from the scriptures but one thing I know is that demons could manifest in such manners to oppress people.

This one l witnessed. I was in SS2 When this happened. Am partly Cameroonian. My village is bothered with Cameron. So we have so many smugglers in my place. so many coming and going too.
A lady from my Village, was a smuggler, who.buys stuff from here goes to sell over there. but Cameronian don't trust us Nigerians at all, so that makes it difficult for Nigeians to do business there. except they partner with someone over there. So this lady partnered with a guy there.

An Ibo guy though, but he had never been to Nigerian. he was born and raised there. he hardly even understood English.
In the course of their business, they started dating.
Business become very dry, they needed to change line of bizness, but here in Nigeria, so the guy, had to come to Nigeria with her. But at this point there was a problem, because he had another lady he could not leave behind. her name was ifeoma.
she was like a model.
So he explained to this lady that ifeoma was the only Child of her parents, who all died in a car crash. That he was her only family, so he couldn't leave her. The lady from my place accepted to allow Ifeoma follow them back to my place.

They came back, two beautiful women with one guy. They lived like brother and sisters. They started their business together.

The Lady from my place got pregnant first, Ifeoma got pregnant not long after that. they gave birth to sons. still living together.
Their babies were still very tender wen one day, a car pulled up in front of their house, which was just by the road. ( u know villages houses nah). Both women were sitting at the veranda of the house, when this car pulled up, Ifeoma got up and went inside the house suddenly. The other lady didn't notice anything.
The people who came out from the car, approached the house, and asked to see Ifeoma. Who are you people? they said ,they were Ifeoma's parents. The man who brought them was ifeoma's Uncle he had seen and recognised her, went home to Ohafia, Abia State, that's where Ifeoma was from, and told her parents that he saw their daughter, his niece, somewhere. After all said and done, it was agreed that they shd come and see for themselves, so they came.

The lady was surprised because Ifeoma had told them that her parents died in Cameroun when she was very young. But looking at the woman standing there, it was obvious she was Ifeoma's mum. So she called out to Ifeoma to come out, no responds. she got up and went inside the house, there was no one inside the house. they confirmed seeing someone going into the house. but she vanished. Nowhere to be found till tomorrow, No one has ever seen her again. Her pictures were all over the place, but no Ifeoma.

Her mother started crying, What happened? we were told that Ifeoma had died wen she was in Jss3 attempting to abort a baby. Her Uncle who goes into Villages to buy goods saw her, recognised her monitored her, was sure she was the one, before going home to his village with the news.
Her son was still sleeping on a cot right there.
This matter became a very serious matter. We all gathered to hear what happened. By this time, the lady from my place was hysterical. She was almost having a feat.

I wish to invite us to discuss the agency of human spirits in deliverance. Are they a genuine experience or demonic?
Without naming names, I have heard of ministries with notoriety of testimonies of many of how their MoG appeared to them in their dream and delivered them from sicknesses, oppression and so forth.

There is a story I have heard of an evangelist/missionary who came to Africa who fell into trouble and was almost dying. In a trance he saw 7 men come and deliver him. When he went back home, his church members told him how one day one of them had a burden for him and he led 6 others into some passionate prayers for him. The missionary enquired when this was and the date was exactly when he was in trouble. Moral of the story I think is to excite us into untercessory and that God can and does use human spirits as tools of deliverance.

Acts 16:9-10 (KJV)
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them

This verse among others is frequently quoted to support this belief.

There was a time I had a dream about my spiritual authority. In those days I used to compile mp3 music and share them for free.

In the dream I had visited his house and we were listening to one of the MP3 cd in his stereo. He began to take me through the church financial statements and he was sad. There were huge funding deficits. I recall the financials were drafted in pencil. I comforted him and assured him we (with emphasis on myself) would take care of it.

In reality the church has a mortgage loan and the loan has been a thorn in the flesh; it gobbles most of the collections and we have fallen behind severally.

This is the closest I have interacted with a minister in a dream. Am wondering whether God indeed uses men IN DREAMS to procure deliverance. Please note, I don't mean dreams which signify deliverance like for instance dreaming praying for somebody and then waking up to pray, I mean ACTUAL miracles wrought through dreams.

The Holy Spirit is actually responsible for those manifestations.

The Greek word translated "fellowship or communion " as you'll find in the above prayer also means Transportation. And that is what Philip experienced in the example you gave.

And the Holy ghost can go to war all by Himself (not necessarily with our spirits). What do you think happens when a juju priest summons the spirit of a Spirit-filled Christian? The Holy Ghost will appear there and there will be trouble because
“... he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” -1corinthians 6:17.

He may choose to appear in dreams in the form of a brother or sister in Christ or someone you have high regard for in the Lord so as to get your attention. He doesn't always appear in His glory.

That is not to say that any such manifestation is of God. Afteral, the false christ Olumba Obu was said to appear to many in the same manner. Also, there is the danger of making this a major teaching or doctrine in church whereby the members are encouraged to expect the pastor's visit at night. That is so wrong...the Holy spirit does so as He wills.

Everything should be judged in the light of God's Word.

I have several of such testimonies. A brother once told me I used to wake him up sometimes to pray at night and for morning prayers.

A sister once told me I prayed for her the previous night in her dream and she woke up to discover the pain she had in her body was gone.

A few times, I realize I was praying for the person at the time of the occurence, at other times, I was fast asleep.

As for the intercessory ministry of the Holy Ghost, I will discuss later as the Lord wills how Romans 8:26 is a very important passage of scripture.

So he explained to this lady that ifeoma was the only Child of her parents, who all died in a car crash. That he was her only family, so he couldn't leave her. The lady from my place accepted to allow Ifeoma follow them back to my place.

They came back, two beautiful women with one guy. They lived like brother and sisters. They started their business together.

The Lady from my place got pregnant first, Ifeoma got pregnant not long after that. they gave birth to sons. still living together.
Their babies were still very tender wen one day, a car pulled up in front of their house, which was just by the road. ( u know villages houses nah). Both women were sitting at the veranda of the house, when this car pulled up, Ifeoma got up and went inside the house suddenly. The other lady didn't notice anything.
The people who came out from the car, approached the house, and asked to see Ifeoma. Who are you people? they said ,they were Ifeoma's parents. The man who brought them was ifeoma's Uncle he had seen and recognised her, went home to Ohafia, Abia State, that's where Ifeoma was from, and told her parents that he saw their daughter, his niece, somewhere. After all said and done, it was agreed that they shd come and see for themselves, so they came.

The lady was surprised because Ifeoma had told them that her parents died in Cameroun when she was very young. But looking at the woman standing there, it was obvious she was Ifeoma's mum. So she called out to Ifeoma to come out, no responds. she got up and went inside the house, there was no one inside the house. they confirmed seeing someone going into the house. but she vanished. Nowhere to be found till tomorrow, No one has ever seen her again. Her pictures were all over the place, but no Ifeoma.

Her mother started crying, What happened? we were told that Ifeoma had died wen she was in Jss3 attempting to abort a baby. Her Uncle who goes into Villages to buy goods saw her, recognised her monitored her, was sure she was the one, before going home to his village with the news.

If Ifeoma truly died when she was in JSS3 then that's one real demonic thing going on there.

I remember sharing an experience of me meeting a so called born again girl. Each time she touched me, I saw scratches on my body, on the exact same spots she touched me. Then later in my dreams, I would see her as a decaying corpse all the time. I kept ignoring the dreams until I started seeing her display some strange and weird behaviors physically.
Later I started to feel like I was dealing with a dead person, or a demon using a dead person's body just before the person passed away; she had a very funny body smell I couldn't understand. But I usually shunned those feelings. But thank God I was delivered.


When things like this happen, it can only be traced to the working of demons. No one can perfectly explain the 'how and why' question of this mystery. Certain spiritual occurrences still remain a mystery, but they really happen. Some people may not believe, but things like this really do happen.


Mysteries like this are traced to Satan and his demons.

It could have been a demon in the flesh, impersonating Ifeoma.. Seeing that demons would do anything to have a body again, they like to possess human bodies if they can obtain a legal right. The way Ifeoma died could certainly have resulted into this demon possessing her body to use it for it's demonic purpose here on earth. The demon will act exactly like Ifeoma in every possible way. It's chief mission was against the boyfriend. But the demons objective became aborted as soon as this was discovered.

Take for example, some people believe white witches (the ones dressed in white with white accessories) are better and more merciful than black witches... In some movies, the white herbalist (I mean the one in white robes / attire) are depicted to attack the black and evil ones... It's all lies. They work for the same DEVIL but the devil has painted it in such a way that people will see the herbalist or the cultists in white as merciful and pure. It's just to DECEIVE people and lure them into his trap.

Some experiences are just weird and can really get us confused hence the reason why it may not be necessary sometimes to delve into some stuffs '. I just want to please God and live for him. So concerning reincarnation, what the Bible says is that 'after death, its judgement' I will cleave to that until I get a further word or revelation from the Lord regarding that. When I started reading my Bible, I found out, man dies once. I believe that. God created His World, he alone decides how we enter and exit it. But this phenomenon is veryyyyyyyyy strange.

This is the greatest of satanic deceptions.
But that child, I mean her Son, will he be possessed? can he live a normal life? can he be born again? so many questions.

now it appears that after moses died, the devil wanted his body to use it for something. he wanted it so badly be was prepared to battle an archangel. what else would he want the body of a dead man for? your guess is as good as mine. demons can and do use human bodies. whether its a case of using the original dead body or/and changing and assuming the dead body we dont know.

That is just about the craziest thing I've heard in a loooong time.

I have read of stories of the dead showing up temporarily but yours is in its own league.

Furthermore, God has forbidden pretended communication with departed spirits. the "familiar spirits," as these visiting from other worlds were called, are declared by the Bible to be "the spirits of devils." Lastly brethren Spirits of Devils personating relatives or Someone who has lived before will appeal to our tender Sympathies and will work miracles. We must withstand them with the Bible truth that the dead know not anything and that they who they appear are the spirits of devils.

Lastly brethren Spirits of Devils personating relatives or Someone who has lived before will appeal to our tender Sympathies and will work miracles. We must withstand them with the Bible truth that the dead know not anything and that they who they appear are the spirits of devils.

But you seem to argue that man has no consciousness that survives death, and as such, anything resembling the departed can only be demons.

Soul Sleep is the name given to this doctrine. Among its proponents are Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists and so forth

There is another option. There is a conscious human spirit that survives death but they are displaced from the land of the living to await resurrection/judgement.

This is what Jesus taught indirectly in the Rich Man and Lazarus Parable in Luke 16.

In the same Exclesiastes ever favorite among Soul Sleep proponents, we come across this;

Ecclesiastes 3:21 (KJV)
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Question is, what is this 'spirit' that goes upward or downward? Is it conscious, or is this a mere figure of speech? And if it is a figure of speech, why would it puzzle the Preacher?

From beyond he grave the Rich man had a consciousness as did Lazarus and also memory of his life on earth.

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom

This is a phenomenon that so far, no one I have met has been able to understand what or explain it.
