But I need to Make down these plans too.. Okay please how do I get admission, I want to study computer engineering, which school is best for me to attend? Thank you.

By August/september next year u can start your planning proper. Application normally opens btw November and January. You nid to make plans for ur language test before November so dt if u dont meet up with the acceptable score u canbe able to sit for anoda one before application closes. Mind you, you would need money for all the processing. As per the school thats best for you, nobody can tell you that, chck thru all the schools that offers the course u intend to study on www.studyinfo.fi website, you would see requirements and everything u nid to knw there.
Thats what u need to know for now

if you applied to university of tampere for any of the courses in school of information sciences just speak up for little guidance.
I could help with some information. But please be specific in your questions and try to be sure of the exact programme.

is university of Tampere different from TUT? also please attend to my question below. thanks

mavinc4u:

thanks alot. i got a message from TUT application link saying that **English translation of the transcript of record** must be submitted by 23/11/15; does that mean that the official transcript should be submitted by the said date because i thought deadline for everything is January. see this link https://studyinfo.fi/app/#!/korkeakoulu/1.2.246.562.17.36541415927

Hello @ mavinc4u.....University of Tampere (UTA) is different from Tampere university of technology (TUT). It's just like unilag and yabatech.

Also i have through the link you gave below and couldn't locate where it was stated that your English Lang translation should arrive in November 2015, besides the application opened in December. I think there's a Mix up somewhere, you should go through the mail again.

I have seen what you referring to and It is not applicable to you because your transcript will be in English hence no translation required. To the best of my knowledge, it is for those that their transcript is in other languages besides english n will need to be translated.
You should work with the other deadline of authenticated transcript records which deadline is in January.
My other bosses here pls also help clarify do we can be on the same page @Olabode...pls help contribute.

TUT is like the Unilag, while UTA is analogous to LASU. Another institution in Tampere- TAMK is comparable to Yabatech. TUT is the oldest and most reputable. Other institutions are also quite good in their rights.

This your information is absolutely false! or upside down. UTA is the main University in Tampere, more rated and recognized than TUT and TAMK.
In fact TUT and TAMK cannot award Phd in certain courses. Bachelor degree holders from TUT and TAMK cannot proceed to master's directly without working for few years.

While UTA can award PhD in all courses. I have heard you. This may help: http://www dot 4icu dot org/fi/
TAMK is a polytechnic, how are they supposed to award degree not to talk of PhD in the first place?

Nawa for una... why the argument concerning main university in Tampere. Some questions on this thread are like rhetorical questions, no answers are required. @akinsbola452000 you fall my hand big time, I expected you to know the difference between TUT and UTA, saying TUT cannot award Phd. in some courses is a major miss and also stating that BSc. graduates of TUT cannot enrol for a MSc. program without some years of working experience is comical.

@mavinc4u abeg...please...biko... next time take 5 minutes to "google" "best universities in Finland" or "top universities in Finland" or something like that.

To the matter at hand, comparing both universities is quite unnecessary as TUT is a specialized university that focuses on engineering and architecture while UTA is a more general university that focuses on boilogical, physical and social sciences with some programs in ICT and other areas.

TAMK is a polytechnic, that provides more practical education and they award Bsc. and Msc. degrees.

TUT and TAMK are for different purposes as one is mainly for research/tutoring in the area of engineering and the other is a polytechnic for training of skilled personnel.

@presiade i still don't get your angle on the unilag and LASU analogy mayb na wetin make @akinsbola452000 para as him na chief for UTA grin

Season greetings!!

I used my Uncles' GTB mastercard in late November when my skye mastercard and diamond card refuse to pay and 26k plus was deducted from his account. So the deductions varies.

Why not try using stanbic to make the payments or better still get someone that has a GTB card to assist you since majority of guys here confirmed successful payment using GTB card.
