Did you read that your own source from beginning to end?

LOL.....South African army general with Burundi crisis experience....the same mission where SANDF failed, that is his track record of experience of combat...LOL.....Burundi was as failure for SANDF, that country is still boiling like hotpot fire today, thanks to the failed mission of SANDF there twice.

LOL, your army general is being chosen now that the Tanzanian army general has finished the hard job of REAL WAR and given victory to UN and Congo, then a South African army general can now be called in to head a PEACE-TIME CONGO DRC for the purpose of NEXT YEAR POLITICAL ELECTIONS...

Oh my God ! Can't stop laughing....my sides in orbit, SANDF army general with experience of failure in combat is now appointed by UN mission in Congo to do the job of elections supervisor....civilian police level of assignment grin grin

United Nations just showed you the only thing your army general can do...CONDUCT PEACE-TIME CIVILIAN ELECTIONS, shame on SANDF [/s] grin grin
.

1. South African is commanding the MONUSCO deployment = 20 000 men (Thats TWO DIVISIONS)

2. The Tanzanian was a commander of the FIB deplyment = 3000 men (Thats ONE BRIGADE)

I guess Augubugugug thinks the man who was placed in charge of ONE BRIGADE is more important than the man who was placed in command of SIX BRIGADEs

You are a complete and utter slowpoke, I know that a South African being chosen to lead the biggest UN deployment on the planet has placed you on suicide watch, but please up your game

And yet the Burundi operation was a complete and utter success

The operation came to an end when South Africa repatriated the last troops in December 2009, leaving Burundi peaceful and on its feet after ending a civil war that had lasted for 15 years.

You were handed the post out of pity.

Anyway.... Nigeria has been leading UN missions since even before you started sucking your mommy's tittes!

Nothing new here, only for feeble minds like you soweto clowns.

1. Citation needed that they considered a Tanzanian first

2. South Africa has been fighting conventional high intensity wars since before Nigeria was a country

Nothing new here, Nigerians butthurt about being turned over again grin

SANDF is commanding peace time Congo DRC elections force, not a war fighting force, or MONUSCO will be firing artillery on civilian voters?

He commanded peace mission in Burundi....yet there is no peace in Burundi till today....Your SANDF army general is a combat mission failure, so he has been chosen after Tanzanian army general fought and won Congo war, SANDF army general cosen to CONDUCT CIVILIAN ELECTIONS 2016 in Congo....that is the limit of South African military capability....watch over civilian elections....ordinary Police job[/s] grin grin

1. Burundi was peacefull and stabilized when we left - stop making things up.

2. MONUSCO deployment is more than for just elections

- I said I Tanzanian was selected for a leadership position before the circus clowns you call generals. Fact!

- The UN only saw it fit to appoint a South-African general when the country is relatively peaceful. No faith in the SANDF to perform under pressure.

1. No that is not what you said, and:
- The Tanzanian was selected for a SIGNIFICANTLY lower position.

Brigade (Tanzanian) < Division < Corps (Soth African)

- Combat operations are continuing as we speak.

This smacks of nothing but massive butthurt.

The UN has selected a South African for their BIGGEST Peacekeeping operation - FACT

FROM THE SECOND OF DECEMBER (THIS MONTH)

The attacks by the SANDF late yesterday were carried out despite the DRC government trying to forbid the UN's actions.

Reports indicate that the helicopters caused considerable damage to several of the rebels' bases‚ although exact losses of ADF personnel are unknown.

The attacks came as ADF forces were marching on several villages on the outskirts of eastern DRC town of Beni.

In the latest incident‚ ADF fighters launched a multi-pronged attack on Sunday on two of the UN’s force intervention brigade’s bases as well as a hospital in which they hacked patients to death.

A Malawian peacekeeper and 31 civilians were killed and numerous people were injured‚ including peacekeepers.

The 10-hour assault on Sunday was the first time that the brigade‚ which includes peacekeepers from South Africa‚ Tanzania and Malawi‚ had confronted the ADF.

Tanzanian is a junior (Brigadier General)

South African is a senior (Lieutenant General)

The Brigadier cannot be appointed to lead the whole UN force, only a brigade.

Can you see the difference now?

The country is not entirely in peacetime since there are elections coming. Anything can happen. The Brazilian General who commanded the force had to leave because his two year contract was complete and a new commander had to be appointed. In peacetime or not. The first African was appointed and was a South African and that's hurting you bro.

MTN outsource many of their projects every time, so do you blame them. You are pathetic. They outsourced the installation and maintance of their masts to a private company.
Both MTN and the private company should be dragged to court for gross negligence; this is a matter of national security and heads must roll.

Good morning my people, please,I want to get some info concerning the NA DSSC programme; I know that it lasts for 10 years and can be renewed to RC.
But is there a way for a DSSC entrant to surpass the rank of Brigadier General?,the NDA guys seem to consider the rank of Lt Colonel to General to be their birthright, and their seem to be a conception that a DSSC entrant cannot lead the army(especially in the field) from an executive position, even though they had undergone BMT(with the NDA guys) and even advanced training abroad.
Also,is their a way for a DSSC entrant to remain in the army after his 10 years expires, baring inconsistency in RC admission?

You are mad. MTN has nothing to do with this. The company that installed masts must be held responsible.

The company was contracted by MTN,and therefore,MTN is directly responsible for all actions taken on its behalf regarding the maintenance of its technical assets.

South Africa builds poor quality MRAPs. Fact !!

That MRAP was built to survive two anti-tank mine blasts, but only one wrecked it !

Southy defense industry products are NOT capable of the performance that DENEL and other manufacturers are claiming on paper and media advertisements... they are all LIARS !

Beautiful pictures for internet advertising photos/videos of bad sub standard products it the game played by South African weapons manufacturers.

We build hundrends of diffrent moddels and varrents from many factories and companies to meet a wide range of requiments. The REVA is not even used by south africa.

How do you know it was one minel.

What was the claim by ICP what was the out come. A MRAP is built to be blown apart but keep the crew alive and the crew are was not breached. So unless you have proof dont make claims. Not that it will stop you.

Andrew it doesn't matter how many mines it was hit. What matters the most is that the occupants survived. That's what MRAPS are made for. To protect the occupants against the fatal injury from the blast.
