The Federal Government has been warned by the Nigerian Labour Congress to stop the fuel scarcity with immediate effect. NLC says it is a clear conspiracy on the part of government to force another price hike on Nigerians. The congress said the fuel scarcity would cause more hardship on the masses.

The Nigeria Labour Congress on Tuesday warned the Federal Government against removing subsidy on petroleum products through the back door, saying organised labour will resist such move by government.
In a statement signed by its General Secretary, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, the NLC also asked the government to immediately constitute the board of the Petroleum Products Prices Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) which has the sole legal responsibility to fix prices of petroleum products.

THE House of Representatives’ Joint Committees on Petroleum (Upstream), Petroleum (Downstream) and Gas Resources, on Wednesday, summoned the Petroleum Minister, Mrs Deizeani Allison-Madueke, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Joseph Thlama Dawah , leadership of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers (NUPENG) over the looming crisis in the oil and gas sectors in the country

From years now the same history is repeating itself on fuel sarcity, and no solution till date!
