You do not have armed drones, only Nigeria has the capability to deploy operationally armed drones in SSA.

Denel/South Africa has armed drones which are by far superior than those that Nigeria has.

The.vehicle on the mid of your pictures is used by countries which are largely rural and their network is not developed such that network can only be restricted to a certain area only.

Last pic, SA has all that.

Nigeria has zero advanced defense industry competitive to the world.

The fact that we are able to deploy mobile state-of-the-art all. Weather, Day and Night surveillance systems proves we are more advanced in that aspect.

Again, you are yet to prove you are more technologically advanced than Nigeria

Nigeria import military technology and can't even maintain it.

They cannot even integrate their technology because they have zero data link.

I why don't you till me which fvcking local company would be allowed to order an armed fvcking drone in SA?

It can... I agree.

However the South-African Aircrafts do not have.

True the Dakota MPA are far from modern and need to be replaced. But they still get the job done. The C47 is arguably the greatest aircraft ever made.

The local customer is by no doubt SAAF sir. No agency in SA can be given powers to operate military hardwares of that calibre unless is directly
linked to SANDF.

That's true, Nigeria does not have an integrated data link. Their fighter jets or battle ships will never know at any point in time where other hardwares are and what situation are they facing. That's why when they crash other platforms won't notice anything.

It doesn't. 80% of all components used in the South-African defence industry is imported from Europe.

The Defence Industry doesn't equal the SANDF.

Prove how the SANDF is more technologically advanced than the Nigerian military.

80% is imported? Who were we importing from during the arms embargoes?

Yes it does - See Juliet Troop at Quito

Prove? Link-ZA, EODS, ground based ELINT, Milan-AD, Starstreak, Badger, Chaka-Battle Managment, IMPI Tracking system, Gripen, Valour Class, Heroin Class, Hawks, Gripen, Rooivalk, mobile radar systems and the rests of GBADS, CRAM etc etc etc

-Armed CH-3A with AR-1 missiles

- Gulma GCS

- mobile surveillance systems with heat/thermal/night-vision cameras providing the soldiers with 360 degrees situational awareness day/night, all weather

Tradoc - Total radar coverage of Nigeria
ELINT compliant ATR-42
Falcon eye surveillance system
Operational Data link
State of the art COBr facility
Naval digital Tracking system
Missiles
Up-graded MI-17 terminator1sh, up-graded Super-Puma Helicopters with rocket pods
Artillery

Etc
Etc

Again i ask, how is the SANDF more advanced than the Nigerian military

May I ask what the hell image number 3 is? It looks like a loud speaker lmao

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by RooiBoi(m): 12:43pm On Jan 05, 2016
There is no denying the fact that South Africa has the most advanced and largest, Military-Industrial Complex in Africa. Apart from Denel (one of the worlds largest arms conglomerates) we have local subsidiaries of large multi-nationals such as BAE South Africa. While Nigeria is trying to develop local armaments and defense technology, you must be a fool to be see how Nigeria or any other nation in Africa is better than South Africa at developing indigenous defense capabilities.

Whether or not the developed products has been purchased by the SA Govt as of yet is not a concern. When the need arises, South Africa will be able to transform prototypes into production within months if not weeks. Whereas Nigeria still needs to contend with foreign governments and companies for heavy equipment, vehicles etc as shown in their war against Boko Haram.

The current path the Nigerian army is heading is unsustainable. A large number of Pro-Nigeria users in this thread have boasted about the large army and navy the Military possesses, and how their war against Boko Haram is going extremely well. While I cannot vouch for the bolded text, I agree that Boko Haram will eventually be defeated. The question is, what happens after? The military is a ticking time bomb, with over 500,000 active duty soldiers (paramilitary included) paid in piecemeal, equipment hastily imported from so many countries and a top-heavy leadership that is corrupt and ineffective, one has to wonder what the legacy of the Nigerian military will be post-Boko Haram. With no clear enemy, and a budget that is 1.9 billion usd less, the future of Nigerian military is quite shrouded.
