rapmike: Alright... Its same thing. your not paying the money to me. Cos I won't even collect cash from you. Whether you register through me or through the site. Your expected to pay into our ARM money market fund account with Gtbank. And I believe having someone like me to guide you all the way should make things alot easier for you. But, its your call. |

ernie4life: Please when will MMF start going upward? |
Re: Mutual Funds by ernie4life(m): 2:51pm On Jan 05, 2016 |
ukay2: nobody can say exactly when, but when ever the factors affecting the yields in the money market start improving then MMF will start going up, factors like exchange rate. fiscal policies when government eases the squeeze in interest rate and allow market forces to decide what it should be. etc |

ednut1: Actually that was the rate that was sent via email. We do receive email notification every morning with regards to the rate for the day. So, tomorrow l will get clarification from operations on why the variance. Modified* The rate I gave was the right one. There is usually a delay before the site is updated. Though, we working on that. |

Re: Mutual Funds by carpenter(m): 1:18pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
yak: You should mail them about that, not right unless they are able to explain why to you and their explanation is acceptable. Although sending money from any bank to another on 31st December is a long thing... worst case scenario should be 4th of January sha. |
Re: Mutual Funds by yak(m): 4:42pm On Jan 14, 2016 |

Re: Mutual Funds by carpenter(m): 7:21am On Jan 19, 2016 |
Just a note to remind us that Mutual Funds goes beyond MMF. This may be the time for you to rebalance your investments especially if you have more than the minimum required for entry into other funds. At the moment I only have 40% of my money in MMF and the other spread between the other two funds (Fixed Income "FIF" and Heritage "HF" of FBN Capital. Fixed income seems to be doing better, coming from a high of about 16% to around 12.5% now. Heritage has not been able to catch up with either of them though. Other companies also have products of those class or even more ...be careful to read the fine print before investing (e.g. the Fixed Income and Heritage have a holding period of 3 months). The FIF and HF are also riskier investments compared to MMF. Now, if I could see the future...I would have pulled all my investments in the stock market when I was up 25% and invest in these funds (then wait till it bottoms out and re-invest in the stock market), sadly I cannot predict the future just like everyone else...so now am down 20% in my stock broking accounts. This means I have lost approximately 45% paperwise. However, even though my stock broking accounts are worth twice as much as the worth of my Mutual funds, my plan is still the same. Stock broking accounts are for the future and I will continue to buy regardless; Mutual Fund accounts are for short to medium term needs and I will continue to add to it also instead of keeping money in a savings account. I will also continue to look for other avenues to put money so I can make money without forgetting to donate to charity and help others. Finally, please reward yourself when you make a good decision, you deserve it. 5 Likes |

Hello Carpenter and other investors, apart from Treasury bills, Mutual funds, Stocks and Bonds, what other relatively safe ONLINE OR OFFLINE PASSIVE investment do you know that one can invest one's fund into even if it is just a #100 or $0.5 d yield returns that it brings daily? |
Re: Mutual Funds by carpenter(m): 7:01am On Jan 20, 2016 |
onair: Hey mate...you picked all I would put my money in There are others such as forex, bitcoin which I personally do not understand that people get their hands on, they also make money through them. A lot of folks out there also buy and sell domain names. A savings account, Fixed deposit is also still in the mix somewhere. |
