I hope you are aware that their q3 result is not yet out and speculation is that the result might be bad....Some people might have gotten the info and may be dumping.... This is exactly what oando did to deceive shareholders when over 60million units were traded last year before they released the bombshell result...Better pray for the best...Remember, no company will ever withhold a good result for too long.
nothing more to add.
A word is enough for the wise.
You cannot be safe until you are saved.

I bought based on this rough analysis:

Share outstanding is 5B

Tigerbrands transferred 3.285B (65.7%) to Aliko.

"Subject to regulatory approvals, DIL will provide TBCG with an immediate cash injection of N10 billion. In return, Tiger Brands will
divest its 65.7% shareholding in TBCG to DIL for a nominal consideration and write off its shareholder loans to TBCG. In addition,
Tiger Brands will assume and settle outstanding debt guaranteed on behalf of TBCG."

This roughly implies that Aliko paid ~N3.04/ share (10B/3.285B).

I bought at N1.16, which is about 62% discount to Aliko's price.

Precedents have shown that Aliko is a very shrewd business man, I am willing to hold with him ...

Not a buy or sell recommendation

Sir, I'm thinking that 10billion cash injection is like a loan to the company. The share purchase @ "nominal value" looks like another transaction altogether.

For me, if I must hold 2 banking stocks in my portfolio in 2016, FCMB and FBNH will top my consideration especially at their current prices. Their holdco structure will confer on them certain privileges deposit money banks can not benefit from.
Govt is going to be raising a lot of domestic debt in 2016, the likes of UCAP, FBN Capital and FCMB capital, among others, will be arranging the funds (of course for a fee). The capital market will witness increased Govt patronage and we know the leaders in that field. I am aware DMBs will benefit from the fund raising but not in the form of incomes accruable to lead arrangers.

This is not a JIJO perspective though and you are permitted to thrash it as soon as you are done reading. cheesy

Okay Thrashed!

Peterichy Stanbic is not a good option at all.

http://developer.investadvocate.com.ng/2012/08/10/stanbic-ibtc-shareholders-endorse-holdco-structure-2/

The statement added that other resolutions passed at the Extra-Ordinary Meeting was the reduction of the bank share capital by a total of N7.5bn as a result of cancellation of 15 billion out of the 18.75 billion ordinary shares.

It said, The holding company will have 10 billion issued and fully paid up shares of 50 kobo each.

Following the share reduction, the number of shares held by a shareholder will accordingly change as four out of every five shares will be cancelled.
