Bryan37: That is where you are so wrong. Working for your govt is not a do or die affair. If your boss gives you an order you are not comfortable with, you should query it, but if you can't then you just resign because of the implications of carrying out such orders. That chap should be probed and if Bakare is right, he should be made to face the law. The youths really have to learn how things work. 1 Like |

sapiosexual1: Lol, u mean some people's bibles are not holy, but his moniker carry holy naun! Issue of resignation from a govt due to bad policy ... I only heard of it in the western world I have not heard of any in our naija except in the private sector. Or do you know any? Our leaders cherish money and fame more than their integrity. For record and integrity sake, I think the right person to have done that is madam Ngozi. She was part of the presidency, she ought to know that the money was diverted, nigeria customs is under her ministry and she had access to verify goods that are ordered for importation. I support the call for her arrest. That is why Obasanjo said 'Ngozi that worked with me is different from Ngozi that worked with Jonathan'. |

in a sane country.buhari will offer himself for investigation on the simple fact he got 2 jeeps from the nsa's office and adesina will resign on the simple fact that he got money from the nsa's office and cbn governor and okonjo iwealla will also resign from every public position on the account of releasing moneys that were not properly appropriated and offer themselves up for investigation. |

josite: Buhari collected what is rightfully his as a past head of state, how will he know that the CLUELESS Govt. gave money from Arms purchase?, did they right Arms purchase on the money? the same applied to Adesina - but can the CBN or the Financial minister Okonjo Iweala claim that they're unaware of the source of the money? they're in charge of the management of Nation's Finances. |

GudluckIBB: Senseless opinion! Take urself as an example, if ur boss who hapens to be ur employer ask u to pay someone some amount whc d told u that is for purchase of equipment for ur company. Will u refuse or query such order since it follow due process? All u have to do is to make sure that all d processes & signatories are observed. It is not his duty to check if d fund is used for d purpose of which it was given. There are other bodies & agencies that has such responsibility 1 Like |

hollywater: If u are the light of the world, u should be able to show them them the way when they r living in darkness. why do u think that inspite of so many churches today, nigeria still remains one of the most corrupt country? it because pastors are not doing what tunde bakare just did, nor what rev fr Mbaka has been doing. they stay box inside the church and talk nothing but bible while the society decays. yet, they are the salt of the earth that should preserve it |

For the record, Emefiele can ONLY be sacked by a 2/3 vote of the Senate. "Terminal leave" could have been an option but the governor still has a little over two years to the end of his tenure. Terminal leave kicks in a few months to the end of his reign. But Emefiele can volunteer to give the EFCC some more info about the disbursement of the arms funds. |

It's so amazing how the arms deal saga has involved so many politicians at the tail end of the last administration; No one is talking about the missing $10billion oil money. Was it that the $10billion was just a false alarm and a tool for the opposition to win the election? Though Emefiele need to answer some questions but I think he must have carried out an order. |
Re: Arms Probe Deal: Bakare Calls For The Arrest Of CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele by obailala(m): 8:42am On Jan 11, 2016 |
hollywater:No.. Bakare is a Nigerian and as such, he has the right to contribute to national issues. He's not a monk that should be relegated to a temple for the rest of his life. Besides, he was firstly an activist and a lawyer trained by Gani Fahewimi, so yeah, it would be silly for him to remain quiet and not lend his voice/opinion to national issues. |

omenka:of course I knew few years ago that my Lord Bishop most Rev Kukah had lost it when he went emotional making insinuations about the assassination of Sir Patrick Yakowa former gov of Kaduna in an helicoptal clash that also claimed Gen Azazi only for Ibb boys like Dasuki to take over and unleash d most wicked corruption on Nigeria; Corruption to which catholic Bishops told us faithfuls to pray against daily in Nigeria. and now that God is answering our prayers it s disappointing that Father Kukah is not happy . We are bidding our time and keeping Emefiele an exchequer who presided over d states looting busy till we are ready to hear him sing to Magu's beat. |

All that nonsense stopped when the ICC and UN decided to trial Hitler subordinates for obeying orders that lead to the death of millions of Jews.... By law you are not allowed to obey an order from your principal if you know the order is illegal.... What stops you from quitting? Or blowing the whistle like Sanusi? Even if you might get sacked but at least you saved yourself any criminal prosecution in the future 1 Like |

I am not a fan of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, in view of the many controversies created by him in office, but I must extol some of his virtues, especially his ability to interpret the CBN act so well to this extent, he took advantage of the act when need arises and administered the office with so much dexterity and astuteness. You remember the government of GEJ was uncomfortable with him in office especially with his independent and self-justification approach. Emeifele, as CBN governor was a willing tool in the hands GEJ and associates; he is a yes man - boot licker. He is not different from the lots of Nigerian bank executives and officers you have out there who are paid well for generic and routine jobs, well dressed with little or no intellectual value other than deposit mobilization, F4, F10, F2 and enter. They can hardly do effective risk assets generation but depend on interest income on government and cheap funds from liabilities provided via deposits. Having said that, I must remind readers that the CBN act created autonomy for the CBN government, hitherto the CBN governor has a right to adhere to the act governing the CBN when in contrast to the demands, instructions and directives of the GEJ government or any government at all. The CBN governor owes the nation and government fiduciary responsibility, especially in the interest of the nation. Hence I conclude that his cooperation with GEJ, Okonjo-Iweala, Dasuki and associates to divert and embezzle public funds, defraud Nigeria, mismanage the economy, reloot the Abacha loot returned to Nigerian government, distort the flow in the supply of FOREX by flooding the economy with FOREX and ultimatetely drag Nigeria further into the mess the government was constituted to alleviate. Emeifele, Okonjo-Iweala, GEJ should stand accused as prime suspects in Dasukigate scandal. GEJ, Okonjo-Iweala and Emeifele created the avenue for fraud, they also aided Dasuki and other associates to defraud the nation, embezzle and misuse public funds. You may not agree with me but I opine that they must be judged on earth and perharps in heaven by God almighty. The monumental abuse of office, corruption and ineptitude displayed by the democratically elected government of GEJ must be addressed and tried in the court of law. We urgently need to judge the matter to establish precedence in our case laws for future references and to serve as deterrence. 1 Like |
