Well, Southpaw's a one-off, no sequel or prequel - basically a standalone. So predictably, it has more explosive action sequence, darker aura and character.

Creed however, IS the latest addition to the Rocky Balboa franchise, hence, typically, the plot's loose and continuous.

The next chapter - Creed 2 - would focus on a rematch and Creed probably emulating his Father Apollo Creed and Godfather, mentor and trainer, Rocky 'The Italian Stallion' Balboa, by finally laying his hands on a world title.

Joy was well received by movie critics, and and Lawrence was particularly singled out for her platinum performance. The movie may not be a box office success story but mainly because it's a biopic. Only minor percentage of general audience love biopics - they are often monotonous and boring.
