That is exactly what his(Leonardo) fans are doing, they are painting a picture to make him look like the "victim", d one whose privileges were denied. The result is that more pressure will be built on the folks that give these awards whether by voting or selection, so that they may be forced to give the award to d person(s) who d vast majority of fans have labelled "the victim". And this is not healthy for the movie industry as they will start giving awards to persons out of "sympathy" instead of "Talent, skill and ability". The Revenant is cool though, just dat fans shouldn't do what 9ja politicians would label as "overheating the polity".

You couldn't deduce from what I was trying to say. I have nothing against Leonardo, I've already watched Revenant (in fact on Monday,I'm gonna post d movie here), and it's cool, award winning movie, Leonardo's gonna win it no doubt and he deserves it. I just used him as a typical example of d unnecessary tension built up by fans when it comes to awards. I call it unnecessary because if u are good ur talent and ability would speak for itself and set u apart. Yes people play politics with these things, but eventually nothing will stop u from getting what is rightfully deserved (not out of sympathy).

It's between His Girl Friday or Dogma. I've always wanted to watch the former, while I've watched the latter a lot and kinda want to watch it again because of Alan Rickman as Metatron...Oh well, they're both on YouTube & appear to not be going anywhere...

Or I could just go to sleep.
