Haven't you seen or heard cases of the prosecuted bursting into a fit of rage, & physically assaulting officials, or even inflicting injuries on themselves?.
The cuffs are necessary!.

Seriously? undecided .. I still dont think it's necessary.

Is Metuh a prisoner? Who imprisoned him?

I wonder too. A lot of ignorance.

I know why he was handcuffed, the reason is depicted with the pixes below, he was feeling like a mafia lord with his hand tucked in the last time he was in court.

Handcuffs are supposedly meant for violent and dangerous criminals. If the government continues in it's desperate effort to humiliate these people and at the end of the day the court fails to convict them, they'd end up turning them into overnight heroes.

Every accused person should be treated with dignity, they are innocent until proven otherwise by a court of law.

oga, they never treated our money with dignity o grin

Let me help your ignorance. It's not just about defending alleged thieves on social media, you need to learn to be equipped for it.

Except you have better information, Metuh was brought in from Kuje prisons.

U can't compare Metuh with Lai mohamed.Metuh puts his hands into government fund while Mohamed was just opposition voice, therefore Jonathan has no basis to incacerate him.

Nobody is saying they should not be "tagged" as thieves especially wen found guilty by a court and not on the pages of newspapers, like we are currently witnessing, 15 governors stole 100 trillions, 8 ministers stole 70 trillions, 30 business men stole 50 trillions etc, the question is has the court find them guilty? No! Less do the right thing, Nigerians will support this present govt on their fight against corruption, if done in d right way, and not on "Newspaper".
. How and where did the government pronounce them guilty. The government has done the proper thing by bringing them to the courts where they'll have an opportunity to defend themselves. The news media cannot be gagged by the government and you can't kill the court of public opinions. Are people not criticizing the government on a daily basis? But when it comes to the issue of the alleged thieves, looters, embezzlers and corrupt individuals the public should not have an opinion about them. NO

Be in the same court-room with an uncuffed Joseph Mengele first, before thinking it's not essential.

That is the quality of damaged goods that the motley of Nigerian universities churn out.

Time is winding up fast. 2019 around d corner, yet we have not seen any change promised by APC government in any sector of d economy. Things getting worse day by day.

All witnessed so far is arresting those who opposed APC government in disguise of corruption levelled against them

They will soon start campaigning for 2nd term. Let me see d gullible fools who will vote for them.

Did I ever mention I do not support the fight against corruption?
Where is the so called "change" if we chose to act like animals in a democratic society.
I noticed that those in support without logical reasoning are from the SW.
He is not guilty until proven otherwise by the law courts.
I want them in to pay for their alleged atrocities but let the fight be fair, unbiased, and just.
it should cut across both boards and not perceived to be one sided.

I'm beginning to believe all these trials and arrests're theatrics pulled by the APC to deceive the masses.
Why is it after 7 months still no imprisonment? All we still keep hearing are more trials and more arrests. Why is the legal system slow for bigwigs but it didn't take two weeks to lock up my friend for the better part of two years?

I hope PMB and APC can really sustain the what they have started because it will surely boomerang.
I totally support the fight against corruption, but it must be holistic, fair and just, and not perceived to be one sided based on party or political affiliations.
It's just four years, power intoxicates but wisdom is profitable to direct.
Those of you shouting and cheering on without deep reasoning, remember when two elephants fight it's the grass(masses) that suffers.
Revenge is like a wild fire that consumes all, including the person that's using it as a weapon.
At first so many will cheer this government on,but creating too many enemies same time isnt wise!
When these so called corrupt guys gang up together and fight back,it ain't gonna be pretty especially with the present state of the economy.
2019 is gonna be a do or die affair with the kind of precedence been set......

Shut up, clueless little shit
These criminal (because of greed) killed 1000s of civilization and our gallant soldiers who stood up to defend the nation, God is with PMB and that's is enough

Ok. I'd like to know your findings if you don't mind.
Well, from pictures I could google, Lamido and sons were not in cuffs when they were escorted by prison officials. Though I stumbled into pictures of Tafa Balogun and the late Abubakar Audu in handcuffs so this isn't a really new development.

After all the initial grandstanding, here he is handcuffed like a common criminal.

This picture should serve as a lesson to all others like Metuh who still think they can talk their way out of the ongoing anti-corruption fight.
He is well fed also. The man has changed his mind on that hunger strike.

If dissatisfied speak to your rep in the NASS. He wanted to be charged and he's going to stand trial. No sympathy whatsoever for evildoers in high places.

Just leave these men with sympathies for alleged financial criminals. They will be the first to pour fuel on common street thieves who they are not even sure of their involvements.

Sadly, the average time to conclude a trial is two years.

He stole money meant for weapons because you said so? I'm not holding brief for Metu, but the LAW states that every accused is considered innocent until proven guilty by the law courts. It's is as simple as that! What most of you guys fail to know is the kind of precedence that is being set here. Let's stop all these jungle justice/heard mentality of crucify him~crucify him. It fit be you tomorrow.

Receive brain. An armed robber caught in the act, at gun point must be in chains. Its just common sense.God know what u guys do in school these days.

Your rule of innocent until proven guilty does not hold in all cases.

Stealing government fund is a treasonable offence. Anyone charged with treason will not be given celebrity treatment

You go school at all?

What has legal system got to do with the government of the day?

The judiciary is independent of the government hence the reason why so many looters are able to walk free after paying ridiculous fines

Whats the point in putting him in handcuffs? This man is a known public figure, are there beliefs he will try to run away?
I guess the intention is to publicly embarrass him.
They are just trying to humiliate him. But they are wasting their time. He will still get bail. And then they will start playing the usual game with the courts.
Buhari will pay for all this nonsense. He will not be in office forever.

let us stop celebrating people that didnt care about millions of nigerians living below poverty line
