yes she is still breastfeeding.did u stop urs.ao did u feel when u found out. Have u put to bed now.sorry for my too many questions

My baby stopped on his own, then I took in the following month.

When I got to know I was pregnant again, i vented all my anger on my baby. He was 8 months then, I beat him on the slightest provocation. After beating him, I will start crying.
Even my dh was not exempted, whenever he calls me, I will shout on him. I even thought of aborting but thinking of the wickedness on an innocent baby, made me cry the more.

Immediately I began to tell myself the truth, I adjusted.

No, I haven't put to bed

I'm team March.

If you've got a pharmacy nearby maybe you can show them! Hopefully it won't be anything too serious.

Increase his fluid intake too, perhaps na dehydration. Pele

Hello people, how are our LOs doing.
My baby has been diagnosed of milk allergy, so I am to remove milk totally from his diet. He is 7 months, I can still breast feed though, but I am working and its quite difficult. Please what diet can I incorporated to give him calcium, iron and vit A. He takes, pap, semo, amala and cereal (gerber) but I can't give him cereal any more because I can't add milk. Or do I give him gerber cereal alone without water, I am thinking of adding fruit puree to his cereal. I seem lost, help pls.

Why not get formula that's lactose free specifically made for babies with lactose intolerance?

He is not lactose intolerant, he has MILK ALLERGY, as in any type of milk. We thought he was lactose intolerant, so I changed to ISOMIL in September last year and his symptoms still persist till date, so I have to remove milk from his diet completely.

You may have to incorporate multivitamin syrups to compensate for now. When he's a bit older then he will get the calcium from bones, iron from leafy veggies and other foods that adults eat... I grew up with an allergy to milk(plus a wide range of other foods) and i'm just fine grin

so he will be too,not to worry!

How about you express and addbreastbreastmilk to his cereal, and you can add a palm oil to his diet. U can ask ur paed if u can give him cod liver oil as supplement.....

He cant have regular cereal because it will likely contain milk! I know ewedu has lots of iron so if he's receptive to amala and semo, he can have that with some titus fish cheesy

Right now, expressing isn't an option, cos I go to work, I leave home 5.30 every morning and get back home around 7pm, most times I am overly exhausted. I usually go to his creche to breastfed him twice daily but nowadays whenever I go, he is not even in the mood for breastmilk. I will ask about the cod liver oil....I didn't know I can add palm oil, I was thinking of adding olive oil.

I guess the potty is the usual seat potty. Get a car potty or something else you know your baby will like. My girl's potty is a car, most times she sits and ride the car then poos while riding. I have to force her out of the potty after pooing, she's 11 months old. Before i bought the car potty, i tried the chair potty and she screamed.

I av 2 nephews that are allegic to milk too. R u sure he can still take breast milk? because my SIL had to stop breastfeeding at 2months when they found out he had milk allergy (as adviced by d doctor). Also u should check well cos children with milk allergy r allergic to many food. My nephew does not eat anything containing milk, egg or oil. His fish and meat r baked instead of fried. He takes sausages and some other food. He uses barbecue sause to eat Eba cos he can't use soup except blank vegetable soup. He can't take anything with nuts.

My SIL explained how this was diagnosed (ie food he was allergic to). He was taken to. D hospital, placed nakeddd on d bed and different kinds of food was placed on his body. After some minutes, they cleard his body removing each food crumb one after d other. D ones he was allergic too created a spot/patch on his body and d ones his body accepted didn't create any patch/spot. So she wrote down everything and followed strictly till date. He is 5yrs now though d doc said he would outgrow it with time. Also she uses cetaphil liquid soap and moisturising cream for him.

My 2nd nephew(sister's son) has it as well and he is 8yrs now. His mum refused to follow doctors rule and gives him all kinds of food. She says God did not create her son not to eat normal food. But my dear u need to see when this boy has break out, he would scratch until he has sores but after somedays everything would disappear. But my sis keeps feeding him with all kinds of meal. His breakout comes and goes as well but not as often as b4.

I would advice u see an allergists/ dermatologist not just a pediatrician. Especially cos of d breastmilk u r still feeding him with and u can also read up online.

Above all keep praying for ur LO so God will heal him.

Gerber cereals don't contain milk. And it's not compulsory u addmilkwhen feeding ur baby. So you can make it with just warm water alone. Also you can try other food options like plantain flour and ewedu/okro, macaroni and tomato sauce, titus fish, apple puree, bannan puree, carrot puree, green beans puree, beans and titus fish.

@Nita2013 - Please ask your sister to exercise her faith over both children but for now she should please avoid the foods not to be eaten. They will outgrow the allergies anyway! i'm just imagining the poor baby itching and itching. I had allergies too and today thankfully they're mostly gone.

Allergies can be deadly if not well managed so she should please spend a lot of time praying for healing but avoid the avoidables for now!

Cheers

Is it advisable to give a less than one month old baby, milk, because breast milk is not enough for her? She is not always satisfied after sucking breast milk and drinking water.

Many parents have to give their babies formula when breast milk isn't sufficient. It is possible the mum isn't bringing out much milk, you have to check that too by expressing into a bottle just to see/measure quantity. But there's nothing wrong with doing so. Do explore all options and make an informed decision
